If there are any missing accessories, contact the local dealer where you purchased your product. The illustrations in this manual may differ from the actual product and item. Package Contents projector - & you can begin watching true 3D in just minutes. • INTRODUCTION RF Emitter (sold separately) allows you to customize your 3D viewing to your room setting. 3D-Theatre+™ Unit Power Cord User’s Guide *Due to different applications in each country, some regions may have different accessories. Before Using the 3D-Theatre+™ Additional Items Required • Check the TV / Projector manual to see if the device is 120Hz compatible. This will assist in determining the position of Dip Switch #1 – UP for 120Hz and DOWN for 60Hz or anything less than 120Hz. • If your display is less than 120Hz, aside from setting the Dip Switch #1 DOWN, you would need to make some manual adjustments to your display to create an optimal 3D viewing experience. • RF3D-Theatre+™ Eyewear (2) HDMI High Speed Cables Check your source (3D content player) to make sure the device supports 3D content and update the latest firmware from the manufacturer to activate 3D viewing. • If using Play Station 3™, you will need to setup PS3 the first time with the 3D-Theatre+ before PS3 will acknowledge you have a “3D Display”. • Make sure your 3D content is legitimate and the correct format. 3D-Theatre+ will not support any contents that are not legitimate either during the install or any time thereafter. The contents may come in framepacked format (3D Blu-ray discs or PS3 games), Sideby-Side and/or Top/Bottom (cable/satellite, internet). RF Emitter (Allows you to customize your 3D viewing to your room setting). *These additional accessories are required for the 3D-Theatre+ to perform properly. *Accessories may be modified for quality improvement without any notification. Contact your dealer for purchasing. 6 INSTALLATION INSTALLATION INSTALLATION Product Overview Connecting To Devices (End Plate HDMI IN) Front Panel 2 1 3 1 Insert one end of an HDMI High Speed cable in the HDMI OUT on the 3D-Theatre+™. 2 Insert the other end of the same HDMI High Speed cable in to a TV or Projector. 4 EMITTER POWER SETUP LINK SBS/ TNB SYNC Rear Panel EMITTER SETUP HDMI OUT SBS/ TNB SYNC 5 3 6 7 Set the #1 Dip Switch position to either UP (for 120 Hz) or DOWN (for 60 Hz) shown below. 8 EMITTER SETUP HDMI OUT 1 2 SBS/ TNB SYNC 1 +5V / 2A Power Source 5 3-PIN DIN Connector 2 USB Service Port 6 HDMI OUT 3 HDMI IN 7 DIP Switches 4 Indicator Lights 8 SBS/TNB Push Button 4 Din connector cable is connected with the 3DN-100 3D emitter via the emitter sync port. Note: DLP eyewear for use with a DLP projector or TV do not require a transmitter/emitter therefore no cable is needed for the Emitter / Sync port. For eyewear other than 3D-Theatre+™ RF, follow the instructions provided with the glasses. 7 8 INSTALLATION INSTALLATION 9 Connecting To Devices (End Plate HDMI OUT) 1 Insert one end of an HDMI High Speed cable in the HDMI IN port on the 3D-Theatre+™. 2 Insert the other end of the same HDMI High Speed cable in to any source playing 3D content. 3 Insert the charger to the 5V barrel connector on the 3DTheatre+and plug the charger to the wall outlet. POWER SERVICE HDMI IN LINK 3D POWER LINK 3D 4 USB connector is not in use and will only be accessed when a new firmware upgrade is provided. 5 The three lights reflect the three stages of setup: • The power light goes on when the power is connected to the 3D-Theatre+™. • The link indicator light will go on when the 3DTheatre+ is connected by the HDMI High Speed cables to the 3D source and the display device. • The 3D light goes on when 3D content is being played. POWER +5V / 2A SERVICE HDMI IN LINK 3D 10 INSTALLATION INSTALLATION 11 Playing 3D Content • At this point, the 3D-Theatre+™ is connected to a 3D source and a display device. +5V / 1 A • Turn ON the RF eyewear by gently pressing and holding the ON button on the bottom side of the eyewear. • Initially, some flickering is experienced – left/right lens turning on & off – until the emitter syncs with the eyewear. • When playing Side-by-Side (SBS) contents, press SBS/TNB button next to the Dip Switch box once. POWER SERVICE HDMI IN EMITTER INK SETUP 3D HDMI OUT SYNC • When the player and the display are powered, POWER light is ON. • Upon successful connection between the player and the converter, LINK lights up ON. • The transmitter connected via the DIN connector begins flashing red LEDs and then stabilizes to blue LEDs once the link is made between the source and the display SBS / TNB • SBS/TBN Push Button should not be touched until after the 3D contents are playing. Should the 3D light on the other side of the converter come on and the content appear in 3D, you are using 3D frame-packed contents and no adjustment via SBS/TBN button is required. Go down the menu until you see “BD… 1080 24Hz …Automatic”. Change this setting to OFF. Experiencing “NO SIGNAL” message when the box is connected to a display at 120Hz • If using Play Station 3™ as a player, go to the DISPLAY SETTINGS and select HDMI and Automatic to configure the player to work with the 3D contents. Make sure the 3DTheatre+is connected when going through the settings. All three indicator lights are NOT ON • Check to make sure your USB cable is connected to the wall connector with 5V/2A power. The 3D-Theatre+ may not be getting enough power via USB connected to the other device. Only the POWER indicator light in ON. LINK and 3D indicator lights are OFF • Check to make sure your television is set to the right HDMI connection by going to MENU on the TV, selecting INPUT and selecting the right HDMI connection # - check the # where you inserted the HMDI High Speed cable in the TV. 3D indicator light is NOT ON • Go to the MENU on TV / Projector, select PICTURE and go to the mode and switch between STANDARD, CUSTOM, GAME, SPORT, CINEMA, EXPERT (options vary between different devices). Emitter lights are NOT ON SOLUTION • Change Dip Switch #1 to down position, remove USB cable from the back of the box, plug it back in after five seconds and see if you get the picture. If you do, the television is not true 120Hz and operates at 60Hz (regardless of marketing material/product specifications). • Your connections are bad.
