3M Offers Two Filter Types to Meet All Cleaning Needs
Typical Particle Sizes Color Toner
Different fibers and weaves are designed to trap various particle types. Choosing the right filter type can also optimize vacuum suction and prevent blow-by (passing of particles back into the air and onto work surfaces). 3M configures filters with thin fibers in two different weaves to trap specific sizes of particles, and designs filter cartridges for easy installation and safe disposal.

Type 1 – Fine Particle Filter • A highly concentrated weave (HEPA media) traps extremely fine particles. The Type 1 filter is designed for cleaning color laser printers, color copiers, and other highly sensitive machines that utilize toners of extremely fine particle size.
