Operating Notes Power Supply FCC Compliance Statement This dome camera can operate on 24 VAC or 12 VDC. Operating Conditions Avoid: • Viewing bright objects (for example, light fixtures) for extended periods • Operating or storing the unit in the following locations. • Extremely humid, dusty, hot/cold environments (where the operating temperature is outside the recommended range of 14°F to 122°F [-10°C to +50°C]) • Close to sources of powerful electromagnetic radiation, such as radio or TV transmitters • Close to fluorescent lamps or objects reflecting light • Under unstable light sources (may cause flickering) Warnings (where applicable to your locale) Quick Install Guide Information to the User: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device. Pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules, these limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Hardware kit Document 800-04882 – Rev E – 11/09 This guide 1 2 Preparation Skirt Flush Mount Surface Mount 1. Remove the Dome Cover a. Loosen the three security screws, then remove the dome. b. Gently pull the inner liner free of the two notches in the housing. c. Set the dome and liner aside. d. Loosen the three screws connecting the skirt and the base, then remove the base. Continue with step 2 “Prepare the Mounting Surface” below. 3 Camera Mounting Camera Adjustment Adapter plate (use is optional) Skirt Screws (not supplied) A = Tilt rotation B = Horizontal rotation* C = Pan rotation Base C Base Base Legend B * If necessary, loosen the screw that locks the gimbal assembly in place, before adjusting the camera. M4 screws (supplied) Inner liner Dome M4 screws (supplied) After ➋ mounting and ➌ adjusting the camera, attach the dome cover: a. Secure the skirt to the ceiling or wall using the appropriate screws, not supplied. a. Attach the inner liner to the base until the liner clicks into place. b. Tuck the cables in the area outside the posts. (See “Connect the Wiring”.) b. Secure the dome enclosure to the base with the three security screws. c. Secure the camera base to the skirt using the appropriate M4 screws, supplied. 2. Prepare the Mounting Surface (Surface or Flush Mount) Note Surface mount preparation shown. Use the appropriate mounting template to: a. Mark the holes as required. b. Insert the screw anchors into the holes. • • For adapter plate installations, secure the base with the appropriate M4 screws, supplied. When not using the adapter plate, use screws appropriate to secure the base to the wall or ceiling. M4 screws (supplied) Secure the skirt to the electrical box using 2 appropriate screws (not supplied). a. Tuck the cables in the area outside the posts. (See “Connect the Wiring”.) b. Secure the camera base to the skirt using the appropriate M4 screws, supplied. Secure the adapter plate to the 4S electrical box using the appropriate screws, not supplied. Secure the camera base to the adapter plate using the appropriate M4 screws, supplied. . Picture Brightness The LEVEL screw compensates for the iris level. L (low) darkens the picture. H (high) brightens the picture. Phase Adjustment The V Phase Adjustment Pot adjusts the phase difference between cameras. Switch 7 must be ON to activate Line lock (AC only).
