Quality leader Sulo Umwelttechnik has certified management systems according to DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007. This guarantees that our customers obtain recognised and tested quality and environmental management. All SULO waste and recycling bins are naturally manufactured in accordance with EN 840. In addition, they are also provided with the RAL GZ 951/1 quality seal, the highest quality standard for waste and recycling bins. The requirements of the inspections, which are regularly conducted by independent institutes, go far beyond those of EN 840 and guarantee the best quality, durability and safety of the bins. When we manufacture our bins, we pay close attention to using environmentally friendly materials and colourings. All the constit-uents of our bins are recyclable.

The Vision
Plastic technology is a relatively new material technology. It has only been known for a few decades, and the development potential is nowhere near exhausted.
By creating the GreenMade series, SULO is investing in the conservation of fossil resources. SULO has always played the role of the pioneer. The technical innovations of SULO have revolutionised bin systems across the world ever since the MGB system, an idea developed by SULO, was introduced. By using GreenMade, SULO is once again a front runner in new forms of innovation.
Until a few years ago, the manufacture of bins was only possible with fossil fuel-based raw materials. An increasing awareness of the sustainable use of resources resulted in an investment in the research of biological plastics. Sugar cane was found to be an ideal source of ethanol. This replaces crude oil as the base material and is processed into HDPE.
Not every type of HDPE is suitable for the manufacture of refuse bins. Extensive development processes and material tests were required to find the ideal biologically-based material. The GreenMade HDPE type selected by SULO has exactly the same technical properties as fossil fuel-based HDPE. The bins made of this material, which are ready for series production, were subjected to the strict testing procedures of RAL GZ 951 and EN 840. No deviations in quality were ascertained when compared to petroleum-based bins.

Return and recycling The collection of recyclables is committed to the principle of sustainability. It is only logical to recycle old bins and to use the ob-tained plastic again in bin production. Already in 20??, SULO was the first provider in Germany to close the material cycle in this manner, making a significant contribution to further improving the environmental balance. For our customers, we take care of planning, public relations and the exchange/ collection, disassembly, stacking, transport and finally the recycling of old bins in our bin factory. In the early 1980’s, SULO developed the 4-wheeled MGB product line. Compared to the 2-wheeled MGBs, this large product line is quite a bit more complex. There are three bin sizes available: 660, 770 and 1,100 litres. While the first two smaller models can easily pass through a conventional door, the 1,100 litre bin is perfectly designed for the really big tasks, with a maximum filling weight of 440 kg. Along with two lid variations, the flat lid and the domed lid for the 1,100 litre containers, the bin can be configured optimally for any application thanks to the comprehensive accessory program. All 4-wheeled bins in the SULO product range have extraordinary stability, thanks to their intelligent design, and are optimally suited for use worldwide.
