Calrad's high-resolution baluns for VGA\Component video over UTP devices can extend stereo audio and video signals up to 1,000 feet from the source using a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. The receiver has a built-in active equalization circuitry providing adjustments of Gain\Peak levels for different lengths of cable. This technology is a perfect and reliable solution for situations where your VGA\HDTV monitor needs to be located in a separate location from where the VGA\HDTV source, computer workstation is located. Running video over commonly used CAT5\Cat6 cable results in greater signal distance, reduced material costs and ease of installation. Cat6 UTP cables can be used but may cause skewing of signal pairs at certain resolutions. DC power supplies are required for the sender and receiver. L.E.D. power indicators for the sender and receiver. This balun does not do any video transcoding only the same signal type in\out. Audio video adapter cables required for component video, sold separately.
