(Standby): Switch the Sound Bar on or to standby. (Previous/ Next): / Skip to previous or next track in USB and Bluetooth mode. VOL+/ VOL-: Increase or decrease volume. R6 (Option): ● In Bluetooth mode, press and hold for 3 seconds to "unpair" a connected Bluetooth device. ● In USB mode, press repeatedly to cycle through the repeat modes: (REPEAT), (REPEAT ALL) or (RANDOM PLAY). R7 (Sleep): Activates the sleep timer function. R8 (Dimmer): Adjust the display brightness. R9 B+/ B- : Increase or decrease the bass output. VOL - R6 (Play/ Pause) Start, pause or resume play in USB and Bluetooth mode. (Source): Select an audio source from TV, R8 R7 R10 R11 (Mute): Mute or restore volume. (Sound modes): Press repeatedly to assign different sound EQ modes: STANDARD (By-pass), MOVIE, MUSIC or NEWS. Remote battery usage Using the remote for the time Before use, pull the tab out from the bottom of the remote control. This allows the terminals contact with the pre-installed battery. Installing batteries in the remote 1. Push open the battery compartment on the 2. Insert a CR2025 battery into the space taking care to match the + & - polarity symbols correctly. 3. Replace the battery compartment. Disposal of batteries Dispose of used batteries with regard to the recycling regulations in your area. Do NOT short circuit batteries or throw them batteries can leak and damage the remote control. Replace them in good time! 4 User Instructions Connections Connect to TV through HDMI (ARC) Your Sound Bar supports HDMI 1.4 with Audio Return Channel (ARC). If your TV is HDMI ARC compliant, you can hear TV audio through your Sound Bar by using a single HDMI cable. HDMI IN 2. Connect your Sound Bar to TV through TO TVHDMI OUT (ARC). ● If the TV is not HDMI-CEC compliant, select the correct video input on your TV. 3. On the connected device, turn on HDMI-CEC operations. For details, see the user manual of the device. HDMI OUT (ARC) TO TV HDMI OUT HDMI ARC HDMI HDMI IN IN 1. Using a High Speed HDMI cable, connect the TO TV- HDMI OUT (ARC) connector on your Sound Bar to the HDMI ARC connector on the TV. ● The HDMI ARC connector on the TV might be labeled differently. For details, see the TV manual. 2. On your TV, turn on the HDMI-CEC operations. For details, see the TV user manual. NOTE : ● If your TV is not HDMI ARC compliant, connect an audio cable to hear the TV audio through your Sound Bar. (See ' Connect audio from TV and other devices.) ● The setting method of HDMI-CEC and ARC may differ depending on the TV. For details about ARC function, refer to your TV manual. ● You must connect with the proper HDMI cable (Type A, High Speed HDMITM cable with Ethernet). NOTE: You may need to activate PCM (Downmix) on your TV. Connect audio from TV and other devices Option 1: Connecting a TV, DVD/BLU-RAY PLAYER or GAMES CONSOLE using RCA - RCA audio cable. When you connect the devices in this way and play a file or game, the ● video is automatically displayed on your TV, and ● audio is automatically played on your Sound Bar. 1. Using a High Speed HDMI cable, connect the HDMI OUT connector on your digital device to the HDMI IN on your Sound Bar. 5 1. Connect the other RED & WHITE ends to the TV inputs on the side of the Sound Bar (U7), taking care to match the RED plug to the RED socket and the WHITE plug to the WHITE socket. Connect the other end to the COAX input on the side of the Sound Bar (U11). In this case adjust the TV volume to increase the audio output from the Sound Bar. TV TV R R L L SERVICE PORT NOTE: If no sound can be heard from the Sound Bar using this connection, you may need to check your TV settings to enable the headphone socket output. AUX AUX COAX OPTC Option 5: Connecting an MP3 player OPTC COAX TV TV R R L L SERVICE PORT The below diagram shows the connection to an audio device such as an MP3 player, using a 3.5mm audio cable. Connect one end of the OPTICAL cable to the TV, DVD/ Blu-ray Player or Games Console OPTICAL audio output socket. 2. Connect the other end to the OPTC input on the side of the Sound Bar (U10). OPTC COAX 1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the headphone output of your MP3 player. 2. Connect the other end to the AUX input (3.5mm socket) on the side of the Sound Bar (U9). R R TV TV L L SERVICE PORT AUX AUX COAX OPTC OPTC COAX NOTE: You may need to activate PCM (Downmix) on your source device EG:- TV, DVD/Blu-ray Player or Games Console. 6 R R TV TV L L User Instructions General operation Adjusting the sound Connecting mains power 1. Connect the attached mains plug to a mains power supply outlet. 2. Switch the power outlet ON. Standby mode 1. Press the STANDBY button (U2 Unit & R3 Remote). to wake the unit from STANDBY mode. 2. To enter STANDBY mode press either STANDBY buttons (U2 Unit & R3 Remote). NOTE: As part of the power saving mode the unit will enter STANDBY mode automatically after 10 minutes (approx) of no audio output. Volume controls 1. To increase the volume level press the VOLUME + button (U6 Unit or R5 Remote) repeatedly or press and hold for fast adjustment. 2. To decrease the volume level press the VOLUME - button (U6 Unit or R5 Remote) repeatedly or press and hold for fast adjustment. Sound mode presets 1. During playback pressing the SOUND MODE button on the remote control (R11) repeatedly cycles through the available sound modes. Choose between :- STANDARD, MOVIE, MUSIC or NEWS. MOVIE MUSIC NEWS Playing audio from a connected TV or other devices. After connecting a TV or other device to the Sound bar, follow the below steps. Ensure the Sound bar is powered ON. If not press the STANDBY button (U2) or remote (R3). 1. Press the SOURCE button (U3,R2) repeatedly to choose the correct source to play. The source icon will appear on the display. EG: MUSIC BASS 2. As you select a sound mode, the corresponding name appears on the display to indicate that sound mode is active. NOTE: The STANDARD sound mode when selected does not show an icon on the display. Bass enhancement 1. To increase the bass level press the BASS (B)+ button (R9) repeatedly. MUSIC BASS 2. Adjust the output volume using the VOLUME +/buttons (U6 Unit or R5 Remote). DIGITAL AUDIO CONNECTIONS Please note when connecting the soundbar using DIGITAL cables (HDMI, COAXIAL or OPTICAL), the AUDIO SOURCE MUST be set to output PCM digital audio. 7 2. To decrease the bass level press the BASS (B)button (R9) repeatedly. NOTE: The BASS levels range from -3 to +3. User Instructions Adjusting the sound Play audio through Bluetooth Mute function 1. Pressing the MUTE button (R10) on the remote will temporarily silence the audio output. You will see ‘MUTE function is active. MUSIC BASS 2. Press the MUTE button again to resume the audio output. Before you can use the Sound Bar with your phone or other bluetooth capable device you will need to pair the device to the Sound Bar. Bluetooth status table Reason Connected Auto re-connecting with last paired device. If no connection can be made inside 2 minutes, pairing mode will begin. Pairing mode Pair the Sound Bar manually 1. Press the SOURCE button (U3, R2) repeatedly until you see ‘BT’ appear on the display. MUSIC to connect to previously paired devices. If no devices are found the ‘BT slowly to indicate it is ready for pairing a new device. Controlling a paired device Play audio through Bluetooth ‘BT’ status 4. If pairing is successful the Sound Bar will beep and the ‘BT 5. If the connected device goes out of range, the Sound Bar will attempt to connect for 2 minutes. When the device comes back into range the Sound Bar will reconnect again automatically. 6. To disconnect the paired device, press and hold for 3 seconds the (Option) button (R6) on the remote control. The "BT" text will begin flashing slowly again. 7. When selected, the ‘BT’ text on the display will BASS 2. Enable the Bluetooth function on your audio device and search for a device labelled ‘AS5000BH’ in the available list. 3. Select and enable pairing for the ‘AS5000BH’ device. If prompted for a password enter ‘0000’. Once connected you can either use the controls on the audio device to begin playback, skip tracks etc. Or you can use the control buttons on the Sound Bar & remote. 1. The button (U4 or R1) when pressed will begin playback of the selected track on the audio device. Press again to pause playback. 2. To skip to the next track press the NEXT button (U5 or R4). 3. To skip to the previous track press the PREV. button (U5 or R4). 4. Any further operations must be done from the audio device. NOTE: the volume output is effected by the volume level on the audio source EG: Phone or tablet, so make sure that is set to about 80-90% ( not too loud to avoid distortion). BLUETOOTH NOTES ■ The operation range of bluetooth is approximately 10 meters (30 Feet). Any obstacles in the path between devices may reduce this range. ■ Only one Bluetooth device can be paired at a time. ■ Not all Bluetooth devices are compatible. 8 User Instructions Play audio through Bluetooth Play aduio from USB storage devices Pair the Sound Bar using NFC With Near Field Communication (NFC), you can easily pair and connect your Sound Bar to your phone or other Bluetooth compatible device. 1. Press the SOURCE button (U4, R2) repeatedly until you see ‘BT’ appear on the display. MUSIC 3. Select a file you want to play by pressing BASS To Playback Pause ‘ 2. Wait approx. 30 seconds until the ‘BT text on the display flash slowly. 3. If your device supports NFC, switch NFC on, and touch the NFC AREA of the Sound Bar with the NFC area of your device. Your device connects to the Sound Bar automatically. Some devices may ask for confirmation on connection. For details on NFC, see your device user guide. NF C 4. To close the connection, touch the NFC AREA of the Sound Bar with the NFC area of your device again. NOTE: Not all NFC devices are compatible. Note: ● This product may not be compatible with certain types of USB storage device. ● If you use a USB extension cable, USB HUB, or USB multi-reader, the USB storage device may not be recognized. ● The resume point may be cleared when you pull out the power cord or removing the USB device from the unit. Please scan USB Multimedia file for viruses and ensure that it is virus free. Incase of virus in the USB Multimedia file, Sound Bar may develop a problem. 3) Please ensure to fix and remove USB drive, when Sound Bar in off condition only. User Instructions Other operation Sleep timer The unit can be set to enter STANDBY mode after a period of time. 1. During playback, press the (Sleep) button (R7 on Remote) to enter the timer settings. 2. Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through the available time duration options of :- 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 minutes & OFF. MUSIC BASS 3. When you have selected the required timer duration, just leave all buttons untouched for 2 seconds and the timer will begin the countdown. 4. When the timer elapses the STANDBY mode will be activated. Adjusting the display brightness 1. Press the (Dimmer) button (R8 on Remote) repeatedly to cycle through the 3 brightness states LOW, MED & HIGH. 11 User Instructions Wall mounting the Sound Bar 1. Align the Sound Bar in the chosen location. Use a pencil to mark the drilling positions 750mm apart. NOTE: The Sound Bar should be located at least 7.5cm below the bottom of the TV. NOTE: You will need to ensure the screws are long 5mm between screw head & wall. 4. Hook the Sound Bar into the screws. For secure the narrow part of the brackets. 40” 3 inches (7.5 cm) or more 2. Drill holes as marked in step 1. WALL MOUNTING ADVICE • • • 3. Insert 2 screws (not supplied) into the holes and tighten. Take care to leave 5mm between the screw heads and the wall. • • In order to avoid damage to the equipment Take care not to allow the main unit to fall while attempting to hook onto the wall mount brackets. Before mounting, check the wall strength, if personnel. When drilling into walls, always check that there are no hidden wires or pipes etc. Make sure the screws & wall plugs are suitable for supporting the unit. 12 Care & Maintenance Important: Always unplug the appliance from the power socket during cleaning and maintenance. • • • • • • • Ensure the unit is switched off and unplugged from any electrical outlet Wipe the case with a slightly moist lint free cloth Do not spray an aerosol at or near the object Do not allow liquids to spill or objects to drop into any openings Do not insert sharp items into speaker grills or any other openings Always us the original packaging if it is necessary to transport the unit at any time If the unit is used in a dusty environment, it may be necessary to have the unit serviced at your local dealer periodically. It is not advisable to allow large deposits of dust to accumulate within the unit as it may prevent adequate cooling. Similarly dust deposits which become damp can sometimes lead to electrical problems which may cause severe damage to the delicate electronics within this unit. Troubleshooting If the problem persists, contact the retailer if the machine is still under guarantee. PROBLEM POSSIBLE SOLUTION No Power • Ensure the mains plug is connected to a power supply, and is switched ON. • Make sure there is power to the mains socket. No Sound • Make sure if playing from the TV or AUX input, the external source has the volume turned up and is playing a track. • Make sure the volume is turned up. • If using the digital cable connection ensure the source DIGITAL output is set to PCM, LPCM, PCM 2Ch stereo or PCM downmix. • Bluetooth device not paired. Check ‘Bluetooth operation’. No response from the unit • Unplug the power cable for 1 minute then plug back in again. Remote control does not work • Reduce the distance between the remote and main unit • Check the batteries are installed correctly. • Replace the batteries • Aim the remote directly at the Sound bar Unit powers off after 10 minutes • This unit is designed to enter STANDBY mode automatically after 10 MINUTES of inactivity.
