DriveNews TD 180 C Drive-News Antenna System The DriveNews™ TD-180 C is a fully motorized, offset, C-band autopointing antenna system with a 180cm aperture reflector and a shell for protection against weather influences and to improve vehicle performance. With the universal antenna controller, the system offers instant high performance, plug and play satellite antenna system specifically designed to meet the requirements for vehicle mounted antennas (DSNG). Anywhere you are, anywhere you go. DriveNews TD 180 C Drive-News Antenna System The DriveNews™ TD-180 antenna system is a diamond shape offset antenna system with an ultra lightweight and high performance carbon-fibre reflector and a 3 axis motorized pedestal. The precision, accurate reflector surface provides remarkably low side lobes and excellent cross polar performance for the antenna. The motorized feed-horn system is available for C, X, Ku, and DBS bands with a quick connect feed mounting system. The lightweight construction and compact installation on top of any kind of Vehicle makes it the ideal choice for fast Newsgathering (DSNG) and outdoor broadcast applications for broadcasters, and VSAT applications such as Disaster Relief Emergency Communications, Corporate communication networks and Military satellite communications. The antenna system is controlled by a smart antenna controller with a fast autopointing capability. Its acquisition speed and “One Touch” operation makes it very easy to operate and ideal for instant, reliable broadcasting under any condition and in any environment. The systems comes with the universal TAC350 antenna control unit (ACU) as standard, which can fully control the system locally via handheld or remotely through tablet PC and which supports any satellite and works with any modem technology (FDMA, TDMA, MF-TDMA, NCW). The TAC-350 ACU controls the antenna system with a very quick autonomous autopointing capability, which can even track satellite orbits with high inclination angles (Step Track, Intelligent Track™). The fast and accurate pointing is achieved through a DVB receiver built inside the ACU (altenatively satellite beacon receiver), a GPS-system, an electronic inclinometer, an electronic compass and high precission resolvers (Digital 16bit A/D). The perfectly shaped POD (Outer Shell Casing) improves aerodynamic vehicle driving to quickly and safely reach the event location, while it also provides weather protection for the outdoor electronic equipment such as BUC/TWTA and LNB. Outdoor housing can be extended with a 1:1 redundant C band 400W Outdoor HPA, a Redundancy Switch and Remote Control Panel, an IP67 230V AC Distribution Box and 1:1 Encoder/Modulator with L band Output.
