• The Dalvey Signature Montreux Travel Clock is held securely closed by means of two leather tongue-and-stud fastenings. To open, unfasten the studs and swing out the clock mechanism from the leather travel case. Fix the clock in its upright position by placing the bottom location bar in underneath the leather tongues and then secure the tongues in place using the internal closure studs. MONTREUX T R AV E L C L O C K MAIN DIAL LOCATION BAR STUD CLOSURE DATE WINDOW PUSH-BUTTON This product conforms with EMC Directive 89 / 336 / EEC G_70062- 001 issue 002 MONTREUX TRAVEL CLOCK SETTING THE ALARM REFERENCE TIME The Dalvey Signature Montreux Travel Clock has two synchronous movements in order to add greater accuracy to the alarm setting. The alarm reference time must display the same time as the current time. Resetting the current time also requires the identical correction to the alarm reference time, before the alarm time can be set. The current time is displayed on the main dial. Running parallel to the current time, the alarm reference time is set on the small left-hand dial. When resetting the current time, the alarm reference time must be identically reset. If the two time functions are not synchronised the alarm will sound at a different time to that at which it was set. SETTING THE TIME AND DATE • (Fig.i) (a) Pull out the crown one stop. (The watch will continue to run). Rotate the crown clockwise until the previous day’s date is shown. • (b) Pull the crown to second stop position. (The second hand will stop). The display will change from alarm time to alarm reference time. • (c) Rotate the crown until the dial shows the correct date. Continue to rotate the crown until the current time shows on the main dial. • (d) Push the crown back to its original position when finished. Now set alarm reference time and alarm time. SETTING THE TIME AT WHICH THE ALARM SOUNDS • (Fig.iv) Activate the setting mode by pressing the push-button for at least 2 seconds. The small minute hand will jump forward 1 minute. The setting mode is now active. • (Fig.ii) (a) Pull the crown out two stops. The second hand will stop and the small left-hand dial will change from displaying the time at which the alarm is set to sound, to the alarm reference time, as mentioned above. • Press the push-button repeatedly (the alarm time will move forward by the minute) to the desired time or press and hold the push button and the alarm time will move forward until the button is released. • (a) To activate the setting mode press the pushbutton for at least 2 seconds. The small minute hand will jump forward 1 minute to show the mode is activated. Please Note: If the push-button is not activated for 10 seconds the setting mode for the alarm will de-activate. At the same time two beeps will sound to indicate the alarm is activated. • Short pressing (less than 1 second) will move the alarm reference time forward by the minute. Medium pressing (1-2 seconds) will move the alarm reference time forward by the hour. Long pressing (longer than 2 seconds) will move the alarm reference time forward until the push-button is released. • (b) Push the crown back to its original position. The display will change from alarm reference time to alarm time. SETTING THE DATE (Quick Mode) • (Fig.iii) Pull out the crown one stop. • Rotate the crown clockwise to change the number in the date window. • Push the crown back to its original position. • Never adjust the date during the period 9pm and midnight. TURNING THE ALARM ON/OFF (b) (Fig.i) (a) • (Fig.v) The alarm is turned on/off by briefly pressing the push-button: DATE 2 beeps - alarm turned on. 1 beep - alarm turned off. ALARM TIME (c) ALARM REFERENCE TIME (d) Please Note: The alarm time can be set a maximum of 12 hours before the desired alarm time. • When the set alarm time has been reached at which the alarm should sound, it will do so for 20 seconds. ALARM REFERENCE TIME (Fig.ii) (a) • Press the push-button briefly to de-activate the alarm. • If the alarm is not de-activated during its first sounding it will sound a second time 2 minutes later.
