It is compliant with HDMI 1.4 & HDCP1.4 and supports all HDMI and DVI resolutions up to 4K & 1080p 3D. The SY-HS12 will automatically recognize the resolution and HDCP compliance status of the input signal. The input signal is automatically equalized for reliable transmission and with proper EDID Management. The SY-HS12 can be used in a variety of applications, such as monitoring, conference room, large-screen displaying, digital signage, television, education, command & control centre, smart home etc. Features          2 simultaneous HDMI outputs Hot-plug support Compliant with HDMI 1.4, capable to transmit 1080p 3D or 4K signals Transmits 1080p HDMI up to 15m High bandwidth: 10.2Gbps HDCP compliant Auto-identify input resolution Support EDID management, automatically adopt the resolution of the first detected display from output port 1 or 2 Intuitive indicators for connection status & input HDCP compliance status Panel Description Front Panel Name Power indicator Input HDCP compliance Indicator Description Illuminates red when powered on Indicates the HDCP compliance status of the input signal:  Solid green when the input signal has HDCP  Blinks green when the input signal is not with HDCP  Remains off when there is no input signal Output signal Indicators SERVICE www.sy.co.uk Illuminates green when there is HDMI output, signal on HDMI OUTPUT 1 and 2 respectively USB port, used for firmware update. 2 SY-HS12 4K HDMI Splitter Rear Panel Name IN OUT 5V Description HDMI input port (left most) connects with a HDMI or DVI source device such as DVD / BluRay HDMI output ports, connect to HDMI displays Power socket, plug in the provided 5V DC power adapter System Connection System Diagram The following diagram illustrates the typical input and output connections for the SY-HS12: Connection Procedures Connect a HDMI / DVI source device (e.g. BluRay DVD) to the HDMI INPUT socket of SY-HS12 with HDMI cable. Connect HDMI displays to HDMI OUTPUT sockets of SY-HS12 with HDMI cable. Plug a DC 5V power adapter to the power port of SY-HS12. Note: 1. All the ports support hot-plug detection. Be aware that hot plugging a display may result in a splash screen on the display. 2. Output HDCP compliance status depends on the input signal. When the input signal 3 www.sy.co.uk SY-HS12 4K HDMI Splitter contains HDCP, so does the output; when the input does not have HDCP, neither does the output. 3. A HDMI signal contains both HDMI video signal and embedded audio signal (PCM, Dolby Digital, DTS, and DTS-HD), while a DVI signal contains only the video signal. 4. Pictures shown in this manual are for reference only, different model and specifications are subject to the real product. 5. SY-HS12 is capable to switch input signal format according to the displays. For example, when the input signal is HDMI and the display can only support DVI signal, SY-HS12 will switch the signal into DVI format. EDID Management SY-HS12 comprises 1 HDMI input port & 2 HDMI output ports, EDID management helps in distributing and routing signals from the source at the resolution of the first detected display (detecting from output 1~2). For example: when output 1 connects with a 1080p display, SY-HS12 will select 1080p as output resolution and distribute 1080p signal to displays connected to output 1~2. Note: If the display connected to output 2 doesn’t support the 1080p signal, there will be no output on that display.
