WIFI MEDIA PLAYER QUICK SETUP GUIDE CONNECTING MEDIA PLAYER TO WIRELESS NETWORK: (*11n Wireless router is highly recommended)    Connect the Media Player to TV with supplied A/V or HDMI (Not Supplied) cable. Plug the provided Wifi USB dongle to one of the USB port located at the rear of the Media Player. Plug the power connection and Turn it on You will now see the main screen 1. Select Setup and press Enter> Go to Networks Tab> 2.Select Wireless Setup and Press Enter> 3.Select Connection1 under the Profile Name > Press Enter 4.Select Infrastructure (AP) under Connection mode and Press Enter 5.Now you will see your Network Name under SSID, Select it and Press Enter 6. Enter your Network Password (Same Password to connect internet) when you are prompted. Select OK > Press Enter 1 7. You will see the Test Connection on Screen, it may take a while. 8. If the connection is successful, you will see this screen, Press Enter 9. Now you can see the IP address next to Wireless Setup. You have now success fully connected the media player to your network. Press Home button on your remote. If the connection is not successful you will see the following screen. There are number of factors which block the access to Network. 1. Make sure you have entered the right network password (Same Password to connect internet). 2 2. Make sure no firewall is turned on in your Wireless router as well as in Computer. 3. If your Wireless router is 11g (Old), place the media player close to it as 11g does not have enough signal range and data transfer rate compared to 11n. 4. Take the USB WiFi dongle out and plug it in to the other USB port. 5. If the wireless password encryption is WEP, change it to WPA and try. (Refer your router manual) SETTING UP THE COMPUTER There are two options available to stream your media files stored on computer across the network 1.) NET feature – (Only supports Windows Operating Systems) Your Windows user account must have a password in order to establish the connection. If you do not have a password, follow these steps to create. If you already have a password, skip this and go to Creating Share Folder. Windows Vista/ Windows 7 1.Click on Start > Select Control Panel >Click on User accounts and family safety 2. Click on User Accounts, Click Create Password for your account 3. Type your Password and click Create Password 3 Creating Share Folder For security reason and easy navigation we recommend creating a new folder and adding your media files on to it instead of sharing the whole drive. Please follow these steps: 1. 2. 3. Create a New Folder on your computer and name it (E.g. Media) Add your Media Files such as Movies and songs in to that folder. Right Click on the created folder > Select Properties > Select Sharing Tab> Click Advanced Sharing > Press Continue (If you are Prompted )> Enable Share this Folder > Click Permissions 4. Select Everyone > Tick Full Control Under Allow > Click Apply > Click OK> Click OK>Click Close 4 STREAMING ON MEDIA PLAYER 1.Select Movie > Press Enter 2.Select All Tab with Right/Left arrow keys>Select Net with Up/Down arrow Keys> Press Enter 3. Select your Workgroup >Press Enter (Workgroup is default name of network group. You can check your workgroup name on your Computer description. Right Click on Computer> Select Properties ) If you can’t see your WORKGROUP name there, reboot the Media Player by unplugging the power cable. 5. Select the Net User ID text box > Press Enter and type your windows user account with the keyboard interface Select OK >Press Enter, repeat the same process for entering Password > Select OK and Press Enter. 4. Now you can see the computers connected to your workgroup. Select the Computer which you want to stream from, Press Enter. 5 6. Now you will see following screen with Logon Successful, Select the folder that contains Movies, Press Enter. 7. Choose play folder option for Playing all Movie files on that folder or select Browse folder to select a specific movie file, Press Enter. *If you see the login fail message, Please try typing the username and password carefully. *Check the windows firewall and turn it off if it is turned on *Restart computer 6
