We have adapted the two most important IPod functions: on/off and scan. Now users have the freedom to turn their music on and off and to scan through their songs with the simple touch of two switches. Size: 6 1/2"L x 6"W x 3 1/4"H. Requires two Capability Switches and AC Transformer (included) and 3 AAA Batteries. Operation: 1. The docking station requires 3 AAA batteries (Not included). Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and new batteries together or different brands or types together. 2. Battery installation: Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Remove the battery cover. Install 3 new “AAA” batteries. Replace cover. Reference the OEM instructions for setting date, time, alarm settings ect. 6. This station also has a dynamic speaker for full range of sounds, dual alarm clocks for separate wake times which allow the user to awaken to his favorite song. It has a programmable snooze, backlight LCD with time and alarm time, line-in jack which plays CD, MP3 players and other audio devices. Please Reference the original manufacture instructions for all of the docking station functions and features and any additional troubleshooting info. Troubleshooting: Problem: docking station does not work. Action #1: Check all connections, AC power cord, switches and connection of your iPod in the docking Station... Action #2: Make sure you have the proper plastic insert for your model iPod in the top of the docking station. 3. Plug the one end of the AC power transformer into the back of the iHome and the other end in your wall outlet. Next place the appropriate plastic docking insert for your model iPod on the top of the iHome and then doc your iPod on the base station. 4. 5. This iHome docking station has been adapted for use with two external switches for easy access to the docked iPod controls. The user can be in command of the play/pause and tracks forward of his chosen album or playlist. One is marked On/Off the other, Track/Advance. 6. Insert any capability switch with a 1/8" plug into the Play/Pause input jack. Make sure the connection is flush with no gaps. Please Note: Switches with Latch/Timer modes can only be used in Momentary mode with this docking station. Latch/Timer functions will not work. The Track advance jack allows the user to advance to the next track with each switch activation. Action #3: Try another switch you know works with other devices to rule out the docking station as the source of the problem. Action #4: Make sure that there is nothing inhibiting the depression of your switches or holding any of the switch plates down. Care & Maintenance: 1. Keep the docking station clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth when needed. 2. Keep the docking station out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source. 4. Do not drop the docking station on a hard surface and do not expose it to moisture or immerse it in water. Rev 10/19/12
