UNDERSTRUCTURE
Getinge clean-up sinks are specially designed for use with Getinge related equipment and accessories. Each is designed to perform specified tasks vital to the effective operation of any work area. Getinge clean-up sinks are an integral part of the total material handling & decontamination system, providing the necessary interface between personnel and equipment.
All understructure (apron, legs and shelf) shall be constructed of 18 gauge stainless steel. The apron shall be approximately 11'' (171 mm) high and hide from view the undersurfaces of the countertop. The legs shall be tubular type 1- 5/8'' (41.2 mm) O.D. diameter with stainless steel bullet type leg adjustment. SINK FIXTURES
APPLICATION The Triple Sink Module is designed to serve primarily as a prerinsing station for those items where gross soil has not been previously removed at point of use. It is ideally suited for soiled work areas in a processing system and/or clean sub-sterile areas within the OR. The countertop as well as the sink is designed to accommodate large instrument trays and containers. QUALITY STATEMENT Confidence in the Getinge Group is the most important quality criterion. CONSTRUCTION All material for use in the fabrication of workstations shall be of the very best quality, selected for and adapted to the primary purpose for which it is intended. The workstation shall be of welded construction and consist of a countertop with sink and fixtures, and understructure consisting of a shelf, apron and legs. The countertop shall be constructed of 16 gauge, type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish. A 4'' (102 mm) high backsplash will be provided and top shall be reinforced with steel channels and covered with sound-deadening undercoating. The front edge and sides of the countertop shall contain a raised 1/8'' (3 mm) drain bead for retaining water spillage. The sink bowl shall be a formed, seamless type construction with internal corners rounded to a 1'' (25 mm) radius. Formed construction shall insure uniform side wall thickness. The bottom of the sink shall be pitched slightly to insure complete draining. A strainer and tail piece will be provided with the sink. Sink shall be welded into the countertop and ground smooth, providing a watertight joint. The sink shall be nominally sized 24'' (610 mm) L x 17'' (432 mm) W x 10'' (254 mm) D to handle major size instrument trays.
A T&S Brass Model 1152 deck-mounted, hot & cold water mixing faucet shall be provided and includes 8'' rigid swing nozzle and 4 - foot stainless steel hose w/spray valve. The assembly shall be capable of using water up to 180°F (82°C) at 30 psi (2.1 kg/cm2) minimum. INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY Sink Modules shall be shipped for easy assembly without the use of special tools. Standard and optional fixtures shall be shipped loose for assembly during installation. Others shall perform assembling, setting in place, and connecting to building services.
