INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the MedPro® AirPort™ Portable Nebulizer System. It is a compact medical device designed to efficiently deliver physician prescribed medication to the bronchial lung passages. With proper care it will provide you with many years of reliable treatment. This device is developed for use in the treatment of asthma, allergies and other respiratory disorders. The pump creates a stream of compressed air that is sent to the nebulizer. When the air enters the nebulizer, it will convert the liquid solution of medication present in the nebulizer chamber into an aerosol mist for easy inhalation. This device can be used on adult or pediatric patients. Your MedPro® AirPort™ Portable Nebulizer System should be used under the supervision of a licensed physician and / or a respiratory therapist. We encourage you to thoroughly read this instruction manual to learn about the features of this product. Any use of this device other than its intended use should always be avoided.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY INFORMATION PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE BATTERY. 1. You should fully charge your battery for at least 8 hours before using it for the first time. Protect the battery from high temperatures when charging, operating and storing. 2. For optimal charging efficiency, the battery should be charged at an ambient temperature of 10~30°C. If battery is charged outside of the recommended temperature range, you may notice erratic functioning of the charging indicator light. 3. If the battery is used at an ambient temperature over 45°C, the nebulizer may shut down automatically to prevent overheating. If this occurs, allow the device and battery to cool down. 4. When the nebulizer power indicator light turns to orange (indicating low power), detach the battery from the nebulizer until charging. 5. Only charge and recharge this battery with the AC adaptor supplied with your nebulizer. DO NOT attempt to use any other device as it may damage your battery and will void its warranty. 6. If the battery is not to be used for a long period of time, it should be recharged every three (3) months to maintain optimal performance.
ABOUT THE TWO-VALVE FEATURE The mouthpiece included with this unit features a two-valve system. During expiration, the expiration valve will open, allowing the patient's exhaled air to pass to atmosphere, avoiding contamination of the device. During inspiration, the valve will close, maximizing the amount of inhalation and reducing any waste of drug to a minimum.

Note: an orange light indicates that the battery needs to be recharged. 2. Inhale the drug as prescribed by your doctor. Only the nebulization capsule and solution for aerosol therapy should be used for this device. During inhalation, it is important that the device be kept in the vertical position as this guarantees correct functioning of the device and maximum effectiveness of the treatment. 3. Once the generated mist is no longer constant, it indicates that the drug in the nebulizer chamber is running out; however, therapy should be continued until there is no aerosol left at all. IMPORTANT: As with most devices for aerosol treatment, at the end of the inhalation, a certain amount of medication (about 0.95 ml) will remain in the nebulizer chamber which is perfectly normal. This portion of the drug, also called the residual volume, cannot be nebulized.
11
