INSTALLATION Placement
Place the freezer in a dry environment, not in direct sun light or near other hest sources. The environment´s temperature should be 15°C - 30°C. Make sure the floor can bear weight of the freezer. High temperature and humidity require more frequently defrosting.
Important
When the freezer has been placed in its final position, let in stand for a couple of hours before starting it. It is important that oils may settle. If this is not done, the freeze may be damaged.
Electricity
Connect the plasma freezer with 400V 3-phase + N. Minimum 10A fuse.
Cooling water
Connect to clean water. Unclean or calc water will cause damage. A filter for the water should be mounted.
3
DESCRIPTION Function The Plasma-freezer operates at two temperature ranges -50/-55°C and -40/45°C. -50/-55°C is the working temperature during freezing. -40/-45°C is the idle temperature. The timing settings for work temperature and idle temperature are factory presets. A switch, which can be set in 4 positions, is located at the front of the freezer.
Position 0 - Off Position 1 - Automatic (Normal) The working temperature of the freezer in the daytime is -50/55°C, the temperature is increased automatically to -40/45°C in the evening and in the night. This is done to preserve energy and extend the compressor´s life. In the morning the temperature is decreased to the working temperature.
Position 2 - 40/45°C (Idle) Used when the freezer shall not be used for a longer time.
Position 3 - 50/55°C Used when freezes has to be done in the evening and night. ( To prevent automatic increase of the temperature, see Position 1)
The freezer is equipped with timers. Numbered from 1 to 16, which represents each freezing slot. The timers are used to keep track of the time it takes to freeze the plasma.
A logger is used to log and show the temperature of each slot. The logger regulates and controls the freezer. The logger has a compact flash (CF) card reader to save log data.

DESCRIPTION
Note! The functions shown in this figure may differ from the 3 models.
1 Timers
Shows time left until the plasma is frozen. One button per timer to start, stop, reset and change the timer.
2 Log display
Shows and logs the slot termperatures. Indicates the freezer´s alarms. CF card reader to save logs when needed.
3 Switch
With 4 positions. 0 = Off 1 = AUTO (Normal) 2 = 40/45°C When the freezer is not used. 3 = 50/55°C Work outside normal hours.
5
START-UP Start of the Plasma-freezer
Check that all hoses are connected to the correct in/out connection. Check that the water is flowing. Set the main switch in position 1. This is located on the right side of the back off the freezer, above the Euro connector. Set the switch (3) on the front panel in position 1 Auto, to start the freezer. If the freezer does not start, the cause might be phase fault. Change the phase and restart. The working temperature of the freezer is preset in factory. (See chapter ”function”)
Note! The functions shown in this figure may differ from the 3 models.
6
FREEZING
The time to freeze bags, up to ca 350ml, is 30 minutes. This time is possible to change when needed, with time interval of 5 minutes from 30 minutes up to 60 minutes. To change, hold respectively slot´s timer button pressed until the desired time is shown. When the freezer has reached its working temperature -50/55°C, open the lid and place bags in free slots.
Note! If not all slots are used the bags shall be spread evenly.
1
Press the timer button that represents the slot where the bag was placed. (see fig.1)
2
Red light is lit, and the time starts to count down from the preset time.
3
When the timer ends, the red light is turned off and a green light is lit.
4
Remove the frozen plasma and press the timer button, the green light and the timer display are both turned off.
5
If the timer was set correctly, according to the size of the bag, the plasma has reached its correct frozen temperature.

WARNING!
The plasma-freezer works with very low temperatures - use safety gloves. 7
ALARMS Alarm - resets All alarms are indicated on the log display, and are saved on the event list.
High temp The log display indicates ”High temperature”. The temperature is too high for safe freezing. Indication only.
Over current The display indicates a "Q" The compressor stops. Manual restart.
High pressure The display indicates ”HP”. The compressor stops. Manual restart.
Discharge Line Thermostat The display indicates Discharge Line Therm. The compressor stops. Automatic restart.
Sensor The display indicates sensor disconnection. Indication only.
OBS! By alarm contact the supplier.
