Wire lengths, junction box location, and conduit selection should allow clearance for routine calibration, or maintenance. De-burr edges which may damage wire insulation. Properly seal all cable entries. 2. Liquid Tight Connection Kit (3-9000.392) cable Installation Tips: • The liquid tight connector kit is supplied with a cable gland, two cable boots, and hardware necessary to provide a watertight connection. • Ensure cable O.D. is within the range of compression allowed by the cable gland and/or cable boots. • Non-uniform cable circumferences or flat cables may require the use of RTV or other sealants in addition to cable boots provided. Always use inner cable boot supplied with cable gland. • Cable gland should face downward to prevent moisture seepage into electrical panel. For side mounting, drip loops are recommended. Installation Instructions: 1. Punch out port or drill 7/8” (0.875) clearance hole in electrical panel. 0.95 in. cable boot 0.62 in. cable gland 1.72 in. sealing nut 0.302 in. - for cables 0.088 in., 0.240 in. Integral Assembly (3-8011, 3-8051, 3-8052) Installation Tips: • Integral kits are supplied with the hardware necessary to install instrumentation onto flow, pressure and temperature sensors. • Integral mounting is not possible when using SFMT or PPMT wafer-style fittings. • Apply sealant to threaded areas. • Ensure conduit ports are set parallel to pipe for optimum viewing. conduit ports CAUTION: Do not over-torque adapter or sensor threads failure may occur. rotate parallel to pipe pipe Installation Instructions: Flow Sensor Installation: 1 . Punch out conduit ports if necessary. conduit port 2. Place ring nut on conduit base (ensure gasket is on flow sensor). Thread cable as shown and install sensor through ring nut and conduit base. Push and twist-lock sensor to secure. Install locking ring and secure with screw. 3. Mount unit in tee fitting. Adjust conduit base to align tab on sensor with notch in tee fitting, hand tighten ring nut. Route cable through cable gland and connect to transmitter. Close unit, push and twist lock. Universal Assembly (3-8010, 3-8050) Metric Adapter Kit (for PG 13.5) +GF+ SIGNET #3-0000.393 Installation Tips: • Universal kits are supplied with the hardware necessary to install instrumentation near the sensor, or in any convenient location, eliminating the need for a separate instrument enclosure. • Tank mounting allows for installation above process vessels. Sensor conduit length should be kept at a minimum to ease removal from process. Liquid Tight Metric Adapter Connector (cable gland) Installation Instructions: 1. Panel Installation Panel Mounting kits are supplied with the hardware necessary to install instrumentation into panels and maintain a NEMA 4X watertight seal. Monitors/Controllers Installation 1. Punch out panel and de-burr edges. Recommended clearance between instruments on all sides is 1 inch. 2. Place gasket on instrument, and install in panel. 3. Align mounting clamp notches with instrument notches and adjust instrument to ensure gasket fits firmly against panel surface. 4. Screw mounting clamp to instrument and tighten to secure. 5.
