CONNECTING THE 8300 HD TO A STEREO VCR AND HDTV (OPTIONAL)

Connecting Your Set-Top Box (STB)
NOTE: This connection allows for archiving to the VCR and for watching VCR tapes on your HDTV. To watch HD content, one of the other connections required for HD content is needed. See the previous diagrams.
BACK OF STEREO VCR
1.
Unplug all electronic devices before connecting the STB.
2.
Connect the STB as shown in the diagram.
3.
Connect the STB to the coaxial cable coming from the wall.
4.
Plug the STB and the TV into an AC power source. IMPORTANT > Do not press the Power button on the STB yet.
5.
Turn on the power to your TV, and set the input channel assigned by EATEL (channel 3 or 4).

Wait for the time to appear on the LED display of the STB. IMPORTANT > It takes a few minutes for the STB to be updated with the latest programming and service information. When the front panel displays the time, the update is complete.

8300 HD AUDIO CONNECTIONS
Audio output from the CABLE OUT is monaural (non-stereo). Audio output from the AUDIO OUT LEFT and RIGHT is stereo. CABLE INPUT
