26 8906 Analog Video Clamping Equalizing Distribution Amplifier w/SNMP Key Features • Suitable for NTSC, PAL, SECAM, RGB, YUV, Tri-level sync • Passive differential looping input with eight active outputs • NTSC/PAL input presence detection with SNMP trap generation • Selectable AC, DC, DC restore, or clamp (slow/fast) input coupling • Selectable, dual-speed clamp for singleended hum rejection • Adjustable White Clipper removes peak impulse transients • Card-edge adjustable cable-specific equalization for up to 300 meters • Card-edge adjustable gain control This distribution amplifier offers all the features and functionality of our 8901 utility DA and our 8902 equalizing DA, plus a dual-speed clamp and video presence detection with SNMP trap generation. While all Grass Valley distribution amplifiers remove differential or common mode hum induced by cable runs adjacent to AC mains cables, this module offers a dual-speed self-clamping circuit to handle single-ended hum caused by grounded coaxial cable shields. 8900V-R J1 J2 J3 J4 J5 J6 J7 J8 J9 J10 Outputs Outputs Additionally, a White Clipper circuit eliminates impulse noise above a user-selectable threshold. And the user-enabled video presence detection feature generates SNMP traps that can be sent to our NetCentral SNMP manager or other SNMP systems for missioncritical applications.
