San Francisco, California, August 9, 2012–Ideate, Inc. has launched two new apps on the Autodesk Exchange Apps store for Autodesk Revit. Ideate BIMLink is designed to give Autodesk Revit users unprecedented access to Autodesk Revit data so they can fast forward through data edits and save valuable time. Ideate Explorer for Autodesk Revit allows users to quickly find and select the elements they need in an Autodesk Revit file. Both apps work with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Revit MEP, and Autodesk Revit Structure. The Autodesk Exchange Apps store is a portal to the Autodesk Revit software ecosystem. It provides access to add-ins that allow designers to find and immediately download solutions to some of their more pressing design challenges.The Autodesk Exchange Apps store recently expanded to include apps for products including AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Revit. Customers are now able to access The Autodesk Exchange Apps store both directly on the Web and from within Autodesk products. The Ideate BIMLinkfor Autodesk Revit app lets users pull data from an Autodesk Revit file into userfriendly Microsoft Excel and push Excel data into Autodesk Revit with equal ease. The Autodesk Revit project team and non-Revit using data contributors can access information appropriate to their needs within a platform that safeguards the BIM model against error. Ideate BIMLink is used for a wide variety of data management tasks and now supports several important workflows including the ability to automatically generate consultant sheet lists, automatically populate with unplaced spaces, export detailed information about parts and materials and assist with view template implementation.
The Ideate Explorer for Autodesk Revit app empowers users to uncover and discover hidden, invisible imbedded DWG in an AutodeskRevit file, clean up rogue line styles, organize and review items by workset, easily browse, find, and edit instances of revisions, grids, reference planes, color fills, annotation, and other items not covered within the project browser, and audit Autodesk Revit models to keep them trouble-free.
