8914 Dual AES/EBU Digital Audio Delay Distribution Amplifier Key Features • Two full-function digital delays on a single board • Up to 0.5 second delay in 2 ms increments per channel • Four outputs on channel 1, three outputs on channel 2 • Up to 20 AES/EBU delays in a 2 RU 8900-V frame • Accepts 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz audio signals Note: for balanced 110Ω requirements see the 8912 series digital audio distribution amplifiers
As the transition to digital video and audio accelerates, there is an increased need to delay the audio associated with broadcast video due to the relatively large processing times associated with DVEs and video production switchers. The 8914 provides a low-cost and easy-to-use solution to the lip sync errors associated with these large delays. We’ve included two fully controllable delay paths on a single board allowing up to 20 digital audio delays and distribution in a 2 RU frame. If you want more distribution instead, the first channel can be passively looped to the second channel for seven outputs. The 8914 is also a full-featured reclocking distribution amplifier.
