Read instructions contained in this manual before initial operation. Pay special attention to the safety instructions. SPECIFIED CONDITIONS OF USE This appliance is approved solely for use - in accordance with description and safety instructions specified in this user´s manual - for snow cleaning from plane areas with solid surface from which are removed stones and other solid objects. Any other use is not as intended. Improver use is not covered by the warranty and the manufacturer will reject any liability. The user is liable for all damage caused to third parties and their property. Unauthorized modifications made to machine rule out any liability on the part of the manufacturer for damage resulting therefrom. Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes. Do not overload machine – use it only within the performance range it was designed for. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS  hen using this machine, observe the following safety instructions to exclude the W risk of personal injury or material damage. EN SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE THE SNOW THROWER CS • Know your tool. Read owner’s manual carefully. Learn its applications and limitations as well as the specific potential hazards related to this tool. Familiarise yourself with the controls on the machine and how to use them. • Special care should be drawn to the following issues when using this machine: operation methods, procedures, surroundings, and environment states, etc. Never work with the machine in high speed, on slippery surface. • All guards and safety attachments must be installed properly before using the unit. • Inspect the unit before use. Ensure the parts are installed correctly and secure. • When operating the machine, while taking care of your safety, you should also be cautious to avoid any harm to other people. Call nearby passengers’ attention to avoid potential personal injury. • Use for snow removal only. Never use the machine for transport of persons. • When using the machine you must respect local laws and regulations regarding noise control and environment protection. To avoid any noise disturbance to other people, you should carefully decide operation time and consider the surrounding conditions. • Clear the area to be plowed before each use. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches invite accidents. Remove all objects such as rocks, broken glass, nails, wire, or string which can be thrown or become entangled in this tool. • Work with the machine only on safety surface. Do not work on stone or gravel surfaces – danger of machine damage and flying stones. • Direction of snow throwing must never be aimed to any buildings, cars, people or animals. When using this machine, the user should be cautious about the nearby status or changes: The user should constantly observe the position and movement of other people, nearby window, vehicles, obstacles, etc. Exercise caution to find any small piece of rocks or other articles in the snow to avoid them from flying out and causing personal injury. Pay attention to the angle of the throw. • Thrown objects which ricochet can cause serious injury to the eyes. Wear safety glasses. Everyday eyeglasses have only impact resistance lenses. They are not safety glasses. • Keep the are of operation clear of all persons, particularly children and animals. Keep children and visitors away. Visitors should wear safety glasses and be kept a safe distance from work area. Do not let visitors contact machine. • Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. They can be caught in moving parts. Gloves and solid shoes with anti-skid sole are recommended when working outdoors. The user should wear a protective helmet to avoid your hair from getting in contact with any revolving part of the machine. • Keep hands, face and feet at a distance from all moving parts. Do not touch or try to stop the machine when they are rotating. Do not operate without guards in place. • Keep hands away from moving parts. Shut off engine before unclogging discharge. • Do not use hands to unclog discharge chute or auger. Blocked snow thrower you can release by a suitable tool. Stop engine before removing debris. Do not walk in front of running machine. Do not direct discharge at bystander. SK PL 17 / 44 EN CS SK PL • Move up and down slopes when clearing snow. Do not go across a slope. Use caution when changing direction. Do not use this snow thrower to clear snow from steep slopes. • Move the machine at a step pace. • When stepping backwards, be cautious about any obstacles beneath your feet or behind you to avoid falling. • When using the machine the user must keep correct postures. Heels should be placed firmly on the ground, while the hands hold the handles firmly. • Be especially careful when changing the movement direction when going up. Do not work in too steep positions. • When you examine, service clean the machine or replace parts, you must turn off the machine and disconnect the spark plug cable. Any such operation should be performed after revolving part inside the machine stops completely. • The first time you use the machine or after replacing some parts, you should perform a test running and ensure no abnormal conditions exist to avoid any potential damages or incidents. • When using the machine, if you notice the machine running in an unstable state or hear abnormal sound from the engine, please stop the machine and the spark plug cable immediately and contact your original distributor. • If you strike a foreign object, stop the engine. Disconnect cable from spark plug, thoroughly inspect the machine for any damage and repair the damage before restarting and operating the machine. • If the machine should start to vibrate abnormally, stop the engine and check immediately for the cause. Vibration is generally a warning of trouble. Repair any damage before starting and operating. • While operating with the machine on public roads respect valid prescriptions. • Never refuel in closed room or while running engine as well as when is engine hot. • Keep safety distance of hands and cloths from rotating or hot parts of the machine. If you do not work with the machine, if you leave it or if you want to make adjustment, maintenance or repair, switch off the engine. • Before you leave the machine in closed room, let the engine get cool first. • Store the machine and fuel in safety place without fire resources (sparks, flame), not accessible for children. • Let the machine repair only in authorised service centre. • Never work with the machine in high speed, on slippery surface. • Never start the machine in closed room. • Work with the machine only at good visibility. • Mind the obstacles in order not to stumble or to get out of balance. • For the damages caused by the machine is responsible machine operator. • Do not use the machine in rainy weather. • Use only spare parts and components, which the manufacturer delivers and recommends. • Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Any work not listed in this manual MAY BE PERFORMED ONLY BY AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTRES. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION WITH ENGINE Power output of petrol engine, assemble in given device, must not reach the gross power output. It is caused by many reasons, e.g. by accessory (exhaust pipe, fuel, cooling, carburetor, air filter etc.), limit of operation, operating conditions (temperature, humidity etc.) and differences between separate engine parts. • Before starting engine and device read carefully complete operating manual. Non respecting 18 / 44 the instructions could cause serious or even fatal injury. • Operator has to be especially trained. Repairs of engine by persons which are not trained for operation with the engine ist strictly prohibited. EN  arning: Exhaust gases of this product contain dangerous chemicals which can W cause cancer or reproduction malfunctions.  arning: Carbon monoxid, which is produced by engines, is colourless odourless gifty W gas. Inhalation of carbon monoxid could cause nausea, unconsiousness or even death. CS • Start and work with engine only in open space. • Neither start nor work with the machine in closed room although windows and doors are opened.  arning: Starting engine is followed by sparkling which could ignite present W flammable gases. Result can be fire or explosion. SK • Do not start the engine if natural gas or propan butan is leaking in surrounding. • Do not use compressed starting liquids, their vapours are flammable.  arning: Petrol and petrol vapours are highly flammable and explosive. Fire or W explosion could cause serious burns or death. Therefore keep following instructions: PL WHILE REFUELLING • Stop the engine and let it cool before removing fuel plug. • Refuel tank in open space or in well ventilated area. • Do not overfill fuel tank. Fill petrol at least half inch under filling opening to let space for fuel expansion. • Protect petrol against sparks, open flame, pilot-light, heat and other sources of ignition. • Check fuel pipes, tank and plug and all connection if their are tight and have no cracks. In case of defect change damaged parts. WHILE STARTING ENGINE • Check if spark plug, exhaust muffler, fuel tank plug and air filter are correctly assembled. • Do not start engine if the spark plug is removed. • If you spill fuel, wait till vapours of and then only start the engine. • If the engine is overflooded, push the choke lever to position 0/OPEN/RUN and gas lever to position FAST and turn the engine till starts. WHILE OPERATING THE MACHINE • Do not tilt the engine and machine so that fuel can leak. • Do not stop the engine by colsing carburetor. WHILE TRANSPORTING THE MACHINE • Transport the machine with empty fuel tank or closed fuel cock. STORING PETROL OR MACHINE WITH PETROL IN THE TANK • Store separately from ovens, stoves, water heater or other devices with pilot lights, or other sources of ignition – they could ignite petrol vapours. 19 / 44  arning: Rotating parts could catch hands, feet, hair, cloths or equipment. It can W result in serious lacerated wounds or even amputation. EN • Work with the device with all protection devices duly assembled. • Keep hands and feet in safety distance from rotating parts. • Cover long hair and remove jewellery. • Do not wear lose cloths, floppy cords etc. CS SK  arning: Quick pull (kickback) of starting cord pulls in the hand and arm quicker W than you manage to unhand it. Danger of fracture, raw or tendon injury. • While starting pull the cord slowly till you feel resistance. Only then pull strongly. • Before starting remove all load for the engine. • Firmly connected parts as knives, flywheels, belt wheels, teeth wheels etc. must be safely fastened (they move while starting).  arning: Running of engine produces heat. Engine parts, first of all muffler, are W extremely hot while operation. When touched they can cause serious burns. Flammable material e.g. hay, dry branches, leaves etc. in vicinity can be ignited. PL • Before handling let cool muffler, cylinder and engine ribs. Till the engine gets cold, do not touch these parts. • Remove flammable dirt, settled in area of muffler and cylinder. • Before using device in forested, grassy or shrubby area assemble and keep functional spark catcher.  arning: Unintended sparking can cause fire or electrical shock. Unintended engine W start can cause catching, amputation or lacerated wounds. BEFORE ADJUSTMENT OR REPAIR • Disconnect spark plug connector and fix it far from spark plug. • Disconnect cable from negative outlet of battery (if the engine is equipped by electric starter). CHECKING SPARK PLUG • Use only approved spark plug tester. • Do not check sparking of the spark plug if disassembled. PERSONAL SAFETY • Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a petrol tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools can cause you to lose control and may result in serious personal injury. • Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as a  dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries. • Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the tool on. A wrench or a key that is left attached to a rotating part of the machine may result in personal injury. • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the petrol tool in unexpected situations. 20 / 44 • Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts. EN ELECTRIC SAFETY • Never connect damaged cable of starter to electricity source and do not touch damaged cable before disconnecting from network voltage. Damaged cable could cause contact with body parts. Do not allow that the power cable gets into working space of the machine. Connect the machine only to loading circuit which is protected by current protector (RCD) with activating current under 30 mA. • Use reliable power line and sockets.. • Starting voltage for starting engine is higher that safety voltage. Be careful while starting. • Before using machine check electric cable and socket and be sure that the device can function correctly. • DO not use the machine in rainy weather. Damaged power line must be replaced only by authorised service center, technician or other qualified person. Never touch damaged power line under voltage. You avoid herewith dangerous situation. CS SK PETROL TOOL USE AND CARE WARNING - Petrol is highly flammable. • Store fuel in containers specifically designed for this purpose. • Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke while refueling. • Add fuel before starting the engine. Never remove the cap of the fuel tank or add petrol while the engine is running or when the engine is hot. • If petrol is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine but move the machine away from the area of spillage and avoid creating any source of ignition until petrol vapors have dissipated. • Replace all fuel tank and container caps securely. • Do not force the petrol tool. • Do not use the petrol tool if the main switch does not work. Any petrol tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired. • Turn tool off completely before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing petrol tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the petrol tool accidentally. • Store idle petrol tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the petrol tool or these instructions to operate the petrol tool. Petrol tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. • Maintain petrol tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the petrol tool’s operation. If damaged, have the petrol tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained petrol tools. • Use the petrol tool, accessories and tool bits etc., In accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of petrol tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the petrol tool for operations different from intended could result in a hazardous situation. PL PERSON PROTECTION Be prepared! Have about one following things at least: • Suitable fire extinguisher (froth extinguishing). • Fully equipped first-aid kit, available easily for machine operator and accompanying person. It should contain enough pieces of bandage for lacerated/cutting wounds. 21 / 44 • Mobile phone or another device for quick calling of rescue service. EN CS SK PL  on´t work alone. There must be around another person who knows principles of D the first aid.  he accompanying person must keep safe separation distance from your workplace, T but he/she must be able to see you the whole time! Work only on such places where you are able to call the rescue service quickly! • If someone is cut, cover the wound with a clean cloth and press hard to stop the flow of blood. • Do not let petrol or oil come in contact with your skin. Keep petrol and oil away from the eyes. If petrol or oil comes in contact with the eyes, wash them immediately with clean water. If irritation is still present, see a doctor immediately. • Individuals with poor circulation who are exposed to excessive vibration may experience injury to blood vessels or the nervous system. Vibration may cause the following symptoms to occur in the fingers, hands or wrists: “Falling asleep” (numbness), tingling, pain, stabbing sensation, alteration of skin colour or of the skin. If any of these symptoms occur, see a physician! Put safety first in the case of fire: • If fire comes from the engine or smoke appears from any area other than the exhaust vent, first distance yourself from the product to ensure your physical safety. • Use foam fire extinguisher on the fire to prevent it from spreading. • A panicked reaction could result in the fire and other damage becoming more extensive. RESIDUAL RISKS • Even if the device is used according to instructions, it´s  impossible to eliminate all the risks associated with its operation. The following risks may occur arising from device construction: • Mechanical hazard, caused by cut and throw off. • Electrical hazard caused by touch with parts under high voltage (direct contact) or with parts, which came under a high voltage due to failure of the device (indirect contact). • Heat hazard resulting in burning or scalding and other injuries caused by possible contact with high temperature objects or materials including heat sources. • Noise risk resulting in loss of hearing (deafness) and other physiological disorders (e.g. loss of balance, loss of consciousness) • Vibration risk (resulting in vascular and neurological harm in the hand-arm system, for example so called “white finger disease”) • Dangers caused by contact with harmful liquids, gas, mist, smoke and dust or by their inhalation, relate to emissions (for example breathing in). • Danger of fire or explosion relate to spilling of fuel. • Dangers caused by failing in ergonomic principles by construction of the machine, for example dangers caused by unhealthy position of body or excessive overcharge and unnature to the anatomy of the human hand-arm, relate to construction of handle, equilibrium of the machine and using of toothrest. • Dangers caused by unexpected starting, unexpected exceeding of engine revs caused by defect/ failure of control system, relate to the defects by the handle and placing of drivers. • Dangers caused by impossibility to stop the machine in best conditions, relate to solidity of the handle and placing of engine shut down device. • Dangers caused by defect of machine control system, relate to solidity of the handle, placing of drivers and marking. 22 / 44 • Dangers caused by tearing (of the chain) during running. • Dangers caused by shooting up of subjects or splashing of liquids. EN ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS • Connect the device only on the plug with a protective device to prevent stray current (FI switch) with a rated fault current of not more than 30 mA. • Only connect the equipment to a properly grounded outlet with the specified voltage 230V/50Hz and fuse protection. • Always use an extension cable with a cross section that corresponds with the power input of device and the cable length. • Cable drum before using completely unwind. Make sure the cord is not damaged.  aution! Do not touch the damaged cable and pull the mains plug when the cable C is damaged while working. Damaged cables increase the risk of an electric shock. If the power supply is damaged, it must be immediately replaced with a  cable without defect, to avoid dangerous situations. PL UNPACKING • Carefully remove the product from the box. • Carefully inspect all parts. If any part is damaged or missing, contact your dealer or authorized service center. • Do not throw away packaging materials until you have not reviewed carefully if they did not remain a part of the product. • Parts of the packaging (plastic bags, paper clips, etc.) do not leave within reach of children, could be a possible source of danger. • Disposal must be made ​​in accordance with the regulations in force in the country in which the equipment was installed. • Make sure that bags and containers of plastic material are left strewn freely in the environment because they pollute it. • If you have any doubt do not use the machine, but have it checked by an authorized service center. PACKING LIST: 1x machine body, 1x handle, 1x chute, 1x manual for use ASSEMBLY 1. Unscrew the bolt(fig. 2) and carry away the upper bracket. 2. Mount the armrest (fig. 3A): first unscrew the nut (fig. 4), put in order four bores on the upper armrest, plug in the bolt and screw it with a nut. 3. Mount the connecting rod: pull out pinchcock (fig. 5A) and pin bearing, drill through a bore on the connecting rod (fig.  5B) with a  pin bearing, plug and fix the pinchcock in the pin bearing, and screw the other side on the connecting rod (fig. 6A) with a nut. 4. Mount the chute: first unscrew the chute on the bolt, place it on the chute seat (fig. 7), put 23 / 44 down a fixed block to aim with a bore (fig. 8), and screw the fixed block with a bolt. EN CS SK PL BEFORE STARTING For your safety, and to maximize the service life of your equipment, it is very important to take a  few moments to check the engine condition before operating Be sure to take care of any problem you find, or have your servicing dealer to correct it before you operate the engine. WARNING! Improper maintenance to this engine, or failure to correct a  problem before operation, can cause a malfunction in which you can be seriously hurt or killed. Always perform a  preoperation inspection before each operation, and correct any problem. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Fuel level Oil level Air cleaner (if equipped) General inspection: Check for fluid leaks and loose or damaged parts Check the equipment powered by this engine. REFUELING • Use only clean, fresh, unleaded regular grade gasoline, with minimum octane rating - see Specifications. This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Unleaded gasoline produces fewer engine and spark plug deposits and extends exhaust system life. The fuel must not be older than 14-days. • Approved fuel for this engine is petrol (e.g. Natural 95/90 octane). Never use stale or contaminated gasoline or oil/gasoline mixture. Avoid getting dirt or water in the fuel tank. Do not use petrol containing methanol. It is recommended to use Fuel Stabiliser for engine protection. Fuel Stabiliser is available at petrol stations.  ARNING! Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive, and you can be burned or W seriously injured when refueling. • Stop engine and keep heat, sparks, and flame away. • Refuel only outdoors. • Wipe up spills immediately.  OTE: Fuel can damage paint and some types of plastic. Be careful not to spill fuel N when filling your fuel tank. Damage caused by spilled fuel is not covered under the Warranty. Never use stale or contaminated gasoline or oil/gasoline mixture. Avoid getting dirt or water in the fuel tank. WARNING! Petrol is highly flammable. Store fuel in containers specifically designed for this purpose. Refuel outdoors only, before starting the engine and do not smoke while refueling or handling fuel. Never remove the cap 24 / 44 of the fuel tank or add petrol while the engine is running or when the engine is hot. If petrol is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine but move the machine away from the area of spillage and avoid creating any source of ignition until petrol vapors have dissipated. Replace all fuel tanks and container caps securely. Before tipping the machine (to maintain or drain oil) remove fuel from tank.  ARNING: never fill fuel tank indoors, never with engine running or until the W engine has been allowed to cool for at least 15 minutes after running. Do not use fuel which is older then 14 days. Old fuel in the fuel tank is the leading cause of carburetor damage. ADDING FUEL 1. Remove the fuel tank cap (fig. 9A). 2. Fill the fuel tank to no more than 1 cm below bottom of filler neck. 3. Do not overfill. Wipe up spilled fuel before starting the engine. 4. Close the fuel tank cap. EN CS SK ENGINE OIL  OTE: This engine is delivered without oil, be sure to N put oil in the engine before the starting. Use only below recommended types of oil. Always check the API service label on the oil container to be sure it includes the letters API SF, SG, SH, or equivalent. Do not use SAE 10W-40 or 15W-40. PL SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general use in the summer (for temperatures above 0°C) recommended oil CASTROL GARDEN 4T. SAE 5W-40 is recommended for general use in winter (for temperatures below 0°C) recommended oil CASTROL MAGNATEC 5W-40. Choose optimal oil viscosity that match the ambient temperature at which you are going to operate the machine. DO NOT MIX OILS! OIL LEVEL CHECK CAUTION: Only check oil level with cold engine. 1. Place engine level. Check the oil level with the engine stopped and cooled down. 2. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick (fig. 9B) and wipe it clean. 3. Insert the oil filler cap/dipstick into the oil filler neck until it stops, but do not screw it in. Then remove it. Now read off the oil level on the dipstick. 4. If the oil level is near or below the lower limit mark on the dipstick, remove the oil filler cap/ dipstick, and fill with the recommended oil into the engine between the upper and lower mark. Do not overfill. 5. Reinstall the oil filler cap/dipstick. 25 / 44 EN CS HIGH ALTITUDE • At high altitude, the standard carburetor air-fuel mixture will be excessively rich. Performance will decrease, and fuel consumption will increase. • High altitude performance can be improved by installing a smaller diameter main fuel jet in the carburetor. If you always operate the machine at altitudes higher than 1600 m above sea level, have your authorized dealer install the high altitude main jet. • This machine will not perform well at high altitudes without proper adjustment. Contact a authorized service center for adjustment information. CHARGE PRESSURE FOR TYRES Make sure there is the right tyre inflation pressure (see Specifications). If the pressure is too low, the hose may slip down on the casing and get damaged. SK BEFORE FIRST OPERATION • Inspect safety devices, control elements and respective control cables as well as all screw connections regarding damaged and safe fastening. • It is unconditionally necessary to check the oil level. Fill or add the engine oil as required. • For transport the tires may have overpressure. Check the pressure in tires and adjust to correct value. PL ADJUSTMENT OF THE MACHINE Always adjust the machine under actual conditions. CHANGING SNOW EXIT DIRECTION  ARNING: Never direct the snow discharge chute at the operator, at bystanders, W at vehicles or at nearby windows. The discharged snow and foreign objects accidentally picked up by the snow thrower can cause serious damage and personal injury. Always orient the discharge chute in the opposite direction from where you, bystanders, surrounding vehicles, or windows are located. The chute deflector on the top of the discharge chute controls the height of the snow stream. The distance the snow will be discharged can be adjusted by moving the discharge chute deflector. Raise the deflector for more distance or lower the deflector for less distance. Discharge is controlled by turning the handle (fig. 10E) and the distance of snow throwing by left lever on panel (fig. 10D). SAFETY DEVICES The machine is equipped by safety elements for your safety and they have to function perfectly. These elements must not be removed, modified or evaded their function. COUPLING LEVER FOR DRIVE OF THROWER AUGER (FIG. 10B) Drive system is switched off by release of the lever. By pressing the lever to the handle is system switched on. After pressing the lever, the machine will pick up and throw snow. Left handle (auger control) will remain secured in a pressed position. The lever is located on the left side of the handle. 26 / 44 COUPLING LEVER FOR WHEEL DRIVE (FIG. 10A) Drive system is switched off by release of the lever. By pressing the lever to the handle is system switched on. This lever is not possible to lock in switched on position. The lever is located on the right side of the handle. EN THE LEFT AND RIGHT CONTROL LEVERS a) The left hand control lever (fig. 10B) is used to control scooping of snow and its throwing. Always turn on and off on eliminated surface. Never in the operation. After pressing the lever, the machine will pick up and throw snow. After releasing the lever machine will stop to sweep and throw snow. b) The right hand control lever (fig. 10A) is used to control the drive device. After releasing the machine will stop. After pressing, the machine starts to move (forward or backward by the speed that is set by gear lever). LIGHT ON/OFF SWITCH Light on/off switch (fig. 10G) controls the rise and fall LED spotlight. Can be activated only when the engine is running. CS SK HEATABLE HANDLES Heatable handles on/off switch (fig. 10F) controls turn on and off heating of the handle. Can be activated only when the engine is running. Switch on the dashboard: - ON = switched on / OFF = switched off At the end of work move the switch to OFF. PL Note: Heatable handles do not replace gloves. DIFFERENTIAL TRACTION CONTROL • For easy turning when using the snow thrower ,Handle the Differential Lever (see Figure 11) • Engaging the Differential lever releases the one traction wheel, but allows the second wheel to continue driving .Releasing the Differential lever automatically engages both drive wheels for full traction ( see Figure 12A). NOTE: The Differential will be more difficult to activate under a heavy load. Activate the lever before beginning a turn. ADJUSTMENT OF COLLECTION DRUM Height of collection drum can be adjusted in such way that on uneven surface will not be touched irregularities and that will not be thrown solid objects together with snow, e.g. stones, pieces of wood etc. Risk of gear and shear bolts (fig. 17A) damage. 1. Loosen nuts of skid shoes on both sides of collection drum (fig. 13). 2. Adjust the height to surface condition. Upper position for uneven surface, lower position for quite even surface. 3. Before you fasten the nuts check if there is some height difference between lower rail of the collection drum and skid shoes. Lower rail of collection drum must not be in contact with bottom. The nut are to be fastened well. SNOW CUTTERS • Mount the snow cutters (if the machine is equipped with) on sides of the collecting drum when working in deep snow. 27 / 44 EN CS OPERATION 1. Adjust snow throwing chute (direction and distance) 2. Start the engine (let it warm up to operating temperature and adjust the machine to the outside temperature). Engage the first gear at released coupling lever – never change gear while running machine - even with the engine turned off. 3. Press control lever of auger drive and the auger starts to work. 4. Press control lever of wheel drive and the machine start to move. For changing gear is necessary to release the coupling lever. STARTING THE ENGINE MANUAL START SK ELECTRIC START Before starting release both coupling levers (fig. 10A, B). Before starting check fuel and oil level. Insert the ignition key (fig. 15A) into slot. Make sure it snaps into place. Do not attempt to turn the key. Without completely plugged key blower will not start. Throttle lever (fig. 15D) put in position of symbol „Rabbit“. For extreme cold operating conditions (under -10°C) press 1x to 3x primer (fig. 15E). Making sure to cover vent hole when pushing. If the engine is warm, push the primer only once. Cool weather may require priming to be repeated. PL For cold start push the choke lever (fig. 15C) to 1 position (ON). Turn the fuel valve (fig. 15B) to “ON“ position. Pull the starting rope till you feel resistance (fig. 15F). Then pull strongly and evenly. Starting rope hold firmly and let slowly rewind. Plug in the power cord (fig. 14A). Press the power supply (fig. 14B). Note: Do not push the button for the power supply until you are sure the power cord is properly connected into a power source. After starting the engine remove the plug and close the cover. If the machine does not start in 5 seconds, check again the whole machine. Starting up again twice with a  minute pause, otherwise damage to the starter device. Choke adjustment: When the engine starts to run, get choke lever slowly back to position 0/ RUN. Before each movement of the lever wait till the engine speed gets stable. After starting let the engine run 1 – 3 minutes at low speed, in the meantime check the engine condition, if it is running steadily or if you cannot hear unusual noise. Then adjust the speed by throttle lever to required level. STOPPING THE ENGINE ELECTRIC AND MANUAL START Having finished the work let the engine run for few minutes to let evaporate humidity and melted snow and ice and the machine is dry for next use. Throttle lever (fig. 15D) push to „Turtle“ symbol up to OFF. 28 / 44 Fuel valve (fig. 15B) turn to OFF position. EN Remove the ignition key (fig. 15A) and store in a safe place. Wipe all snow and moisture form the area around the engine as well as the area in and around the drive control several times. In case of long operation break (after season) is recommended to mix additive to fuel as a prevention of fuel deterioration and problems with restarting in the beginning of next season. Do not use the fuel which is older that 14 days. CS DRIVE GEARS  o not change the gear within moving machine even with the engine stopped.. D You can damage the gearbox. 1. If you push the lever (fig. 10C) from position „1“ to the forward, the machine will move forward. If you push it further the machine will move quicker. 2. If you push the lever from position „1“ to the back, machine will go back. If you push it further the machine will move quicker. TIPS AND CAUTIONS FOR OPERATING SK PL WORKING IN THE SLOPE Danger of injury by overturning machine. Work always slowly and pay high attention. Lead the machine always up and down, never work horizontally or sideways in the slope. The machine could lose balance and overturn. The machine must not be operated in slopes over 20%. Avoid overturning machine – danger of fatal injury. TIPS FOR SNOW CLEANING Snow cleaning do as soon as finished falling snow, later lower layer gets icy and is difficult to clean it. The snow direction keep if possible in the same direction as wind. While working proceed so that the tracks of snow thrower were overlapped. CLEANING THE MACHINE As soon as you finish the work, remove from the machine all the rests of snow. The rests of snow can get frozen in the machine and the machine will be overloaded, moreover the frozen pieces of snow and ice could be thrown away. While cleaning, repairs, adjusting, servicing and when you leave the machine always switch off the engine and disconnect the connector of spark plug. CLEANING OF STOPPED SPIRAL OR THROWING TUNNEL  anger of injury. Before each operation on the machine switch off the engine and D let stop all the rotating parts. Pull off the ignitions key (or switch in OFF position) and disconnect the connector of spark plug. The chute clean-out tool is conveniently fastened to the rear of the auger housing with a  mounting clip (fig.  16). Should snow and ice become lodged in the chute assembly during operation, proceed as follows to safely clean the chute assembly and chute opening. Warning: Never use your hands to clear a clogged chute assembly. 29 / 44 EN SNOW CHAINS (ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT) For extreme snow and weather conditions is possible to purchase snow chains under order No. 009129. If you do not know how to fit the chains, contact your dealer. MAINTENANCE CS Good maintenance is essential for safe, economical and trouble-free operation. WARNING! Improper maintenance, or failure to correct a problem before operation, can cause malfunction in which you can be seriously hurt or killed. Always follow the inspection and maintenance recommendations and schedules in this owner’s manual.  isconnect the spark plug before performing any service on the machine. Wait till D all moving parts are completely stopped. SK PL • To help you properly care for your engine, the following pages include a maintenance schedule, routine inspection procedures, and simple maintenance procedures using basic hand tools. Other service tasks that are more difficult, or require special tools, must be performed by an authorized service centre. • The maintenance schedule applies to normal operating conditions. If you operate your engine under severe conditions, such as sustained high-load or high-temperature operation, or use in unusual wet or dusty conditions, consult your servicing dealer for recommendations applicable to your individual needs and use. • After finishing season carefully clean the machine and all metal and moving parts lubricate by grease or oil so that the machine would be prepared for next season. Before next operation with the machine carefully check all the components. • Frequently check fastening of all screws, nuts etc. in order to keep the machine in safe working condition. • Once in the season let inspect and maintain the machine in authorised service center. Use only original spare parts. 31 / 44 EN CS MACHINE CLEANING CAUTION: Do not hose engine. Water can damage engine or contaminate the fuel system. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. After each operation clean the machine carefully. Allow engine to cool at least a half hour before cleaning. The machine should be parked at solid even surface. Remove settled sediments. The chute clean always immediately after finishing work. Then let machine get dry well. Wipe the surface of the machine and engine cover with dry cloth and remove all dirts. Never use aggressive detergents or solvents for cleaning. SK PL HOW TO AVOID POSSIBLE DAMAGES ON THE MACHINE If there are frequently caught by snow blower stones, branches or other object, stop the machine and check possible damage. Found damage has to be repaired immediately, never continue to work with damaged machine. Before starting work should the engine reach operation temperature. Finishing the work let the engine run few minutes idle. • Switch of the blower spiral when you change the place or if the snow blower is out of operation do not overload the snow blower by driving too fast by snow cleaning. • When you hit any solid object switch off the engine, disconnect the connector of spark plug, check contingent damage before you start the engine again to continue working. • In case of abnormal vibrations proceed according to instructions (see instruction for removal of fault). FASTENING SCREWS OF SNOW BLOWER The spiral is fastened to the drive shaft by shear bolts (fig. 17A). This bolts can be broken while strong resistance of spiral caused by e.g. wedged stones, metal pipe or bar or similar objects. The snow blower is protected hereby from more serious damage. These bolts must be replaced only by original spare bolts. Remove cut bolts, clean connecting flats and lubricate them by grease. Use new original parts and nuts for replacement of broken ones.  aution! NEVER replace the auger shear pins with anything other than authorized C part. Replacement shear pins. Any damage to the auger gearbox or other components as a  result of failing to do so will NOT be covered by your snow thrower’s warranty. Warning! Always turn off the snow thrower’s engine and move ON/OFF switch to OFF position remove the key from the ignition prior to replacing shear pins. LUBRICATION WARNING: Before lubricating, repairing, or inspecting, disengage all controls and stop engine. Wait until all moving parts have come to a complete stop. All rotating parts should be lubricated at least after every 25 hours or once a season of operation lubricate by light machine oil. IMPORTANT: Avoid oil spillage on rubber friction wheel and aluminum drive plate. 32 / 44 WHEELS At least once a  season, remove both wheels. Clean and coat the axles with a  multipurpose automotive waterproof grease before reinstalling wheels. EN CHUTE DIRECTIONAL CONTROL Once a  season, the joystick should be lubricated with a  multipurpose automotive waterproof grease. AUGER SHAFT At least once a season, remove the shear pins (fig. 18A) on auger shaft. Spray lubricant inside shaft, around the spacers (fig. 18B). Also lubricate the flange bearings found at either end of the shaft. See Figure 18C. GEAR CASE The auger gear case has been filled with grease and sealed at the factory. Adding or replacement lubricants refer to authorized service. CS SK TIRE PRESSURE Regularly check tire pressure keep it at the specified values (see Specifications). INSPECTION OF CONTROL CABLE OF SNOW THROWER COUPLING Left coupling lever push forward. The cable gets slightly slacked. When is the lever released the cable must be neither slacked nor tensed. If you find some play, it is necessary to adjust and tense the cable. When the cable is correctly tensed the lever must touch the handle when pushed. In different case is necessary to adjust the cable. PL REPLACEMENT OF LOWER RAIL OF COLLECTION DRUM Fig. 19 • Disassemble screws, washers and nuts. • Replace by new rail. • New rail firmly fasten by screws, washers and nuts to the lower part of collection drum. REPLACEMENT OF SKID SHOES Fig. 19 • Screw out nuts, washers and nuts. • Replace skid shoes on both sides of collection drum. • Assemble new skid shoes and adjust them to the desired height. ENGINE MAINTENANCE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS • Make sure the engine is off before you begin any maintenance or repairs. This will eliminate several potential hazards: - Carbon monoxide poisoning from engine exhaust - be sure there is adequate ventilation whenever you operate the engine. - Burns from hot parts - let the engine and exhaust system cool before touching. - Injury from moving parts. • Read the instructions before you start the engine. • To reduce the possibility of fire or explosion, be careful when working around gasoline. Use only a nonflammable solvent, not gasoline, to clean parts. Keep cigarettes, sparks and flames away 33 / 44 EN CS SK from all fuel related parts. • Remember that an authorized servicing dealer of our company knows Your engine best and is fully equipped to maintain and repair it. To ensure the best quality and reliability, use only new genuine our parts for repair and replacement. OIL CHANGE It is recommended to ask authorized service for oil change. Drain the engine oil when the engine is warm. Warm oil drains quickly and complete. Attention: Do not drain oil when the engine is running! When you drain the oil from the top oil fill tube, the fuel tank must be empty or fuel can leak out and result in a fire or explosion. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Disconnect the spark plug wire and keep it away from the spark plug. Place a suitable container next to the engine to catch the used oil. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick. Remove the drain bolt (fig. 20A) and allow the used oil to drain completely into the container. For engine without drain plug, we recommend to use oil extractor pump, or drain the oil into the container by slightly tilting the engine toward the oil filler cap/dipstick. Before tilting the machine, remove fuel from tank. Keep the spark plug end of the engine up. Please dispose of used motor oil in a  manner that is compatible with the environment. We suggest you take used oil in a  sealed container to your local recycling center or service station for reclamation. Do not throw it in the trash or pour it on the ground or down a drain. PL 6. Reinstall the drain bolt. With the engine in a level position, fill to the upper limit mark on the dipstick with the recommended oil. WARNING! Running the engine with a low oil level can cause engine damage. 7. Reinstall the oil filler cap/dipstick (fig. 9B) securely. Warning!!! Wash your hands with soap and water after handling used oil. SPARK PLUG For best results, replace the spark plug every 100 hours of use. Use only the recommended spark plug which is the correct heat range for normal engine operating temperatures. To find actual types of recommended spark plugs please contact an authorized service center.  arning!!! If the engine has been running, the muffler and the spark plug will be W very hot. Be carefull not to touch this parts. NOTE: Incorrect spark plugs can cause engine damage. For good performance, the spark plug must be properly gapped and free of deposits. 1. Disconnect the cap from the spark plug (fig. 21A), and remove any dirt from the spark plug area. 2. Use the proper size spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug. 3. Inspect the spark plug. Replace it if damaged, badly fouled, if the sealing washer is in poor 34 / 44 condition, or if the electrode is worn. 4. Measure the electrode gap with a  suitable gauge. The correct gap (fig.  22A) is listed in the Specifications. If adjustment is needed, correct the gap by carefully bending the side electrode. 5. Install the spark plug carefully, by hand, to avoid cross-threading. 6. After the spark plug is seated, tighten with the proper size spark plug wrench to compress the washer. 7. When installing a new spark plug, tighten by 1/2 turn after the spark plug seats to compress the washer. 8. When reinstalling the original spark plug, tighten by 1/8 - 1/4 turn after the spark plug seats to compress the washer.  OTE: A loose spark plug can become very hot and can damage the engine. Over N tightening the spark plug can damage the threads in the cylinder head. 9. Attach the spark plug cap to the spark plug. MUFFLER Attention: Spare parts of muffler have to be the same as originals and assembled on original places otherwise can arise danger of fire. If the muffler is equipped by spark catcher, remove its sieve, clean it and check. If it is damaged or stopped by dirt, replace it. CARBON SEDIMENTS It is recommended to remove carbon sediments from cylinder, piston upper side and valves surrounding each 100 – 300 operating hours in authorised service center. EN CS SK PL FUEL SYSTEM Attention: Spare parts of fuel system (plugs, hoses, tanks, filters etc.) must be the same as original otherwise arises danger of fire. REMOVAL OF DIRT Each day or before each use remove from the engine settled dirt. Keep clean draw bars, springs and control elements. Remove flammable rests from muffler surrounding.  arning: Never clean the engine by water. Water could penetrate into fuel system. W Use brush or dry cleaning rag.  aution: Engine and his parts have to be kept clean in order to avoid overheating C and ignition of dirt layer. ENGINE ADJUSTMENTS NOTE: Do not change in any way the rated speed of the engine (carburetor side or regulator side). Your engine was adjusted in the factory and the non-respect of the homologation speed engine could be dangerous for your safety and others safety. If the motor settings is changed in any way, the warranty will be cancelled. If additional adjustment is necessary (eg. for high altitude), contact authorized service center! 35 / 44 EN CS PROBLEMS SHOOTING Problems which you meet while working with the machine have mostly very simple reason which you can put easy in order by yourself. If your are in doubts or if the repair is more complicated, or it is a failure which is not described here, contact authorised service center. All repairs let do in authorised service centers, which used original spare parts. TRANSPORT For manipulation with snow thrower make following steps: Start the engine, shift gear and drive the machine to required place. Push the machine with a released control lever to required place. Before transport of the machine by transport vehicle switch off the engine and wait till it is cold. Disconnect the connector of spark plug. Transport snow thrower in horizontal position.. Machine should be secured on the vehicle by strap belts. Always check important details in the manual if the machine should be stored for long time. 36 / 44 STORAGE  AUTION! The engine must have completely cooled down before storing the C machine. • Never store the equipment with petrol in the tank inside a building where fumes can reach an open flame or spark. • Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure. • Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Use only original spare parts • If the fuel tank has to be drained, this should be done outdoors. EN CS STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR ENGINE  aution: Never store engine in vicinity of stoves ovens water heaters with pilot C light contingently other devices which can produce sparks. STORAGE PREPARATION Proper storage preparation is essential for keeping your engine trouble free and looking good. The following steps will help to keep rust and corrosion from impairing your engine‘s function and appearance, and will make the engine easier to start when you use it again. CLEANING If the engine has been running, allow it to cool for at least half an hour before cleaning. Clean all exterior surfaces, touch up any damaged paint, and coat other areas that may rust with a light film of oil. SK PL NOTE: Using a garden hose or pressure washing equipment can force water into the air cleaner or muffler opening. Water in the air cleaner will soak the air filter, and water that passes through the air filter or muffler can enter the cylinder, causing damage. STORAGE PRECAUTIONS • If your engine will be stored with gasoline in the fuel tank and carburetor, it is important to reduce the hazard of gasoline vapor ignition. Select a well-ventilated storage area away from any appliance that operates with a flame, such as a furnace, water heater, or clothes dryer. • Also avoid any area with a spark producing electric motor, or where power tools are operated. • If possible, avoid storage areas with high humidity, because that promotes rust and corrosion. • If there is gasoline in the fuel tank, leave the fuel valve in OFF position. • Keep the engine level in storage. Tilting can cause fuel or oil leakage. • With the engine and exhaust system cool, cover the engine to keep out dust. A hot engine and exhaust system can ignite or melt some materials. • Do not use sheet plastic as a  dust cover. A  nonporous cover will trap moisture around the engine, promoting rust and corrosion. ADDING A GASOLINE STABILIZER TO EXTEND FUEL STORAGE LIFE For engine protection use Fuel stabiliser which is available at petrol stations. When adding a gasoline stabilizer, fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline. If only partially filled, air in the tank will promote fuel deterioration during storage. If you keep a container of gasoline for refueling, be sure that it contains only fresh gasoline. 37 / 44 EN CS SK 1. Add gasoline stabilizer following the manufacturer‘s instructions. 2. After adding a gasoline stabilizer, run the engine outdoors for 10 minutes to be sure that treated gasoline has replaced the untreated gasoline in the carburetor. OFF SEASON STORAGE If your engine will be stored with gasoline in the fuel tank and carburetor, gasoline will oxidize and deteriorate. Old gasoline will cause hard starting, and it leaves gum deposits that clog the fuel system. If the gasoline in your engine deteriorates during storage, you may need to have the carburetor and other fuel system components serviced or replaced. The fuel can not be in the engine longer than 14 days. If you leave it there longer it can cause damages on the engine, these damages are not covered in the warranty. The addition of a fuel stabilizer to gasoline can extend the life of fuel. The following steps should be taken to prepare machine for storage. 1. Empty the petrol tank with a suction pump after the last working of the season.  AUTION! Do not drain the petrol in closed rooms, in close proximity of open fire, C etc. Do not smoke! Petrol fumes can cause explosion or fire. PL 2. Start the engine and let it run until it has used up all remaining petrol and stalls. 3. Remove the spark plug. Use an oilcan to fill approx. 20 ml recommended motor oil into the combustion chamber. Operate the starter to evenly distribute the oil in the combustion chamber. Replace the spark plug. 4. Replace spark plug. 5. Replace engine oil. REMOVAL FROM STORAGE Check your engine as described in the BEFORE STARTING section of this manual. If the fuel was drained during storage preparation, fill the tank with fresh gasoline. If you keep a container of gasoline for refueling, be sure it contains only fresh gasoline. Gasoline oxidizes and deteriorates over time, causing hard starting and clogging. If the cylinder was coated with oil during storage preparation, the engine will smoke briefly at startup. This is normal. FUEL STORAGE • Store the gasoline only in special can, otherwise there is a risk of fuel contamination. • Never store engine in vicinity of stoves, ovens, water heaters with pilot light, contingently other devices which can produce sparks. • If you use contaminated gasoline there is a risk of irregular engine running or its damage. • Store minimum quantity of the fuel which you can use to 14 days. Do not use fuel older than 14 days. DEVICE-SPECIFIC STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS 1. Store the machine in a dry, clean and frost-protected place, out of reach of unauthorized persons. 2. Cover unit with a suitable protective cover that does not retain moisture. Do not use sheet plastic as a dust cover. A nonporous cover will trap moisture around the machine, promoting rust and corrosion. 3. Keep the machine in good condition, if necessary change warning and instruction labels on 38 / 44 the machine. NOTE: When storing care should be taken to rust-proof the equipment. PL GUARANTEE OF THE MACHINE • Our warranty quality period for this device is 24 months. • For corporate, commercial, municipal and other than private use, the warranty quality period is reduced for 12 months, according to statutory provisions. • All products are designed for home use, unless there is another information in the instruction manual or operation description. When using otherwise or in contradiction with instruction manual the claim is not recognized as legitimate. • Inappropriate product selection and the fact that the product does not meet your requirements can not be a reason for complaint. GUARANTEE OF THE ENGINE NORMAL WEAR: Similarly as all mechanical devices, the engines need periodical service and spare parts replacement in order to work correctly. Guarantee is not related to such repairs when lifetime of the part of engine was exhausted by normal operation. INCORRECT MAINTENANCE: Lifetime of the engine depends on conditions, in which it is operated and on care which is given to it. The guarantee does not relate to wearing caused by dust, dirt, sand or other abrasive materials which penetrated into engine in consequence with incorrect maintenance. This guarantee relates only to material and production defects. Therefore do not ask replacement of back payment of devices in which can be assembled the engine. The guarantee does not relate either for repairs caused by: • Using other than original spare parts • Control elements or devices which make starting difficult, cause power output reduction and reduce its lifetime (contact producer of the device). • Untight carburetors, stopped fuel pipes, seized valves or other defects, caused by using dirty or old fuel.
