The UFI 511sw makes it possible to view TV and radio programmes encoded in MPEG-2/MPEG-4 in standard TV and HDTV quality. Due to this, the set-top boxes are highly future-proof. It features an integrated cable modem and two independent reception and signal processing systems. The settop box is suitable for reception of digital (cable) TV and radio programmes. Whenever the streaming-capable UFH 965sw set-top box recognises that it is connected to a Kathrein Ocilion IPTV system, the latest IPTV Client Software is loaded. The Dolby Digital data stream AC 3 can be transmitted to a Dolby Digital stereo system through the unit's optical audio output. The receiver's operating system is LINUX-based and offers many convenient functions. What's more, it is equipped with a built-in DOCSIS/ EuroDOCSIS 2.0 compatible cable modem, excellently suited for data transmission in HFC networks. Due to TurboDox®, top speeds are reached for TCP applications.
