October 22, 2012 Dear Costco Member: Following the FDA’s announcement of an expanded recall of Sunland Inc.’s peanut butter, AdvancePierre Foods has initiated a voluntary recall of the Pierre PB Jamwich (Frozen Crustless Sandwich with Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly), pictured below, that you purchased at Costco between July 2011 and October 2012. If you have this product with an expiration date PRIOR TO JANUARY 8, 2013, please stop consuming any remaining sandwiches and return them to Costco for a full refund. The affected products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. To date, there have been no confirmed illnesses or injuries reported in connection with any of the PB Jamwiches.
