Backwashing g is carried out o automaticcally after a prreviously set time interval and works o on the highlyy effective prrinciple of ba ackwashing b by suction (ssuction ring backwash b sy ystem). Scope off supply: filterr body with brass b head, electronicc control and d hydraulically driven backwash hing installattion with cove er, transpare ent cylinder w with filter element, discha arge tubes, w waste water con nnection (HT T connection or hose nozzzle), transform mer plug and JRG connec ction made o of red brass (exxternal thread d BR 1 accorrding to EN IISO 228-1 witthout screw connections) c ). Function The untre eated water flows f through h the untreatted waterinlet into the filte er and there from the insiide through the filter elem ment to the cllean water o utlet. Thereby, impurities > 90 μm are retained r on th he inside of the filter fabrric. Dependin ng on the we eight and size, these particcles fall directly into the lo ower part of the filter eleme ent or remain n on the filterr fabric. Th he filter element is cleane ed by backwash hing at regular intervals. Applications A s • • • • • • • • Single and d multiple fam mily houses Hospitals Retiremen nt and nursin g homes Hotels Barracks Sport venu ues Industrial and a commerrcial buildings s etc. Advantages A s / features • • • • • • Automatic, timed backw kwashing Protection against partticles and co ontaminants in i your drinking water insstallation Optimal cleaning by thhe ledge back kwash system Low rinse water consuumption Filter cup made of duraable plastic, filter head made from m brass and cconnection piece p made of o red brass Horizontal or vertical innstallation Flow media  Drinking water w Backwasshing is carrie ed out autom matically afterr a previously set time interval and works on the highly efffective principle of backw washing by suction (ssuction ring backwashing b g system). The filtrattion process also continu ues during backwash hing without interruption, because ab bout 90% of th he filter surfa ace is always s available fo or filter operration. (Non--stop filtration n). 3 Te echnical ffoundatio ons The JRG Infinitty A is intend ded for the filltration of dri nking water. It protects water w pipes aand the connected wa ater-carrying system partss against ma alfunctions an nd corrosion damage cau used by fore ign particles such as rus st, chips, san nd, hemp, etcc., up to max x. Ø 2 mm. The filters can not be used for chemically-treated ci rculation watter. When us sed for the filltration of pro ocess wa ater and cooling water forr continuous cooling, spe ecialist advice e is required. Fo or water conta aining coarse e dirt particle es, a coarse sediment bo owl should be e installed uppstream. The filters are n not suitable for f oils, greases, solventss, soaps and d other lubric cating media.. The same applies a to separation of w water-soluble e substances s. Va alve hand dling Ins stallation in nstructions s Pa ay attention to o local installation regula ations, genera al guidelines s and technic cal specificattions. Fo or backwashing, an amou unt of rinsing water of at l east 3.5 m3 per hour mus st be availabble, or a pres ssure of min. 250 kPa (2 2.5 bar) musst be presentt behind the ffilters during backwashin ng. Fo or drainage of the rinse water, w a channel connectio on (min. DN 50) must be present. onnection is required in the Fo or the electriccal connectio on, a 230V/50 0Hz mains co t area of oof 1.2 m. The installation n site must be protected against a frost and must en nsure the pro otection of thhe filter from the solvent vapours, fuel o oil, suds, chemicals of any y kind, UV ra adiation and heat sources s above 40 °°C. Da anger: plasticc parts must be kept free e from oil and d grease, sollvents and ac cidic and alka kaline cleaners. After hard bumps an nd shocks (e.g. with unsu uitable tools, falling on a stone s floor etc.) plastic paarts must be e replaced, eve en without viisible damag ge (risk of bursting). Avoid d extreme prressure surges. Ma aintenance e instructio ons JR RG Infinity A ffilters require e regular functional monittoring, mainttenance and replacemennt of importan nt parts after certain inttervals. For the t maintena ance intervalss, please reffer to the insttallation and operating instructions. 4 Technic cal data No Description . 1 Cover (brass head) 2 Electronic co ntrol and back kwash installation w with hydraulic drive d 3 Transformer plug 4 Transparent ccylinder, plasttic - Filter elemeent, plastic 5 Discharge tubbes, brass 6 Waste water connection (H HT connection or hose nozzzle), plastic 7 Connection, rred brass Specifica ation Dimension ns GN1½ DN40 – GN2 DN50 Materials v valve body Red bra ass (connectio on) and brass (filter housing g) Sealing ma aterials EPDM Pressure le evel PN 16 Temperatu ure min. 5°C / max. 30°C C Connection ns Externa al thread BR 1 according to EN ISO 228-1 Flow directtion According to marking g on connecto or Assembly Connec ction can be in nstalled in any y position, drain must be verrtical, pointing g downwards Pressure e loss Pressure lo oss ∆p [bar] Volume e flow [m3/h] 2 4 6 8 10 12 16 20 24 4 GN DN 1 1/2 40 0.01 0.03 0..07 0.12 2 0.19 0.27 0.48 0.76 1.0 09 2 50 0.01 0.03 0..07 0.13 3 0.20 0.29 0.51 0.7 1.1 14 5 6 Accessories Screw con nnection overrview for JRG G Infinity A It is recomm mended to use e the listed scrrew connectio ons.
