A legendary Codec
E1
The Orban OPTICODEC 7600 is the natural successor to one of the most popular codecs, the MusicTAXI.
E2
Designed and engineered by Orban’s German engineering team, the OPTICODEC 7600 is the next step forward in audio transmission via ISDN, X.21, V.35, TCP/IP and POTS.
E3
The OPTICODEC 7600 is an extremely powerful codec that uses the latest Motorola DSP to ensure stability and high performance. (OPTICODEC 7600 does not use native PC processing.)
E4
Supported codec algorithms include G.711, G.722, AETA 4 SB ADPCM Mono/Stereo, Linear 8 … 24 bit, AAC-LC and AAC-HE, Enhanced apt-X 16- und 24-Bit, MPEG1 Layer 2 and Layer 3.
E5
Multifunctional Keypad and Customizable Direct Call Buttons: G.711, G.722, AAC, 4SB ADPCM, Layer 2 and 3 Cursor Positioning: Up, Down, Left, Right Numeric Keypad, Help, Redial, Quick Dial, Hang Up Display Contrast and Headphones Loudness Adjustment.
E6
With the OPTICODEC 7600’s unique AUTOMATIC codec detect function, there is no need to determine what codec is on the other side of the connection.
E7
The OPTICODEC 7600 is one of the easiest codecs to work with. Everything is straightforward, regardless of whether the operator uses only the front panel control or the OC PC Remote software.
E8
In 2003, Orban began its cooperation with AETA France. Accordingly, the OPTICODEC 7600 offers full AETA 4SB ADPCM mono/ stereo compatibility.
AETA ADPCM is the perfect codec when transmitting sports events, as the delay is less than 7 milliseconds.
E9
The activation of this algorithm takes places over the cost-free OPTICODEC PC Remote software and is dependent on the unit type and its serial number.
Each OPTICODEC receives a unique key code.
E 10
When using the OPTICODEC 7600 on a LAN / WAN / ATM / Internet, users will appreciate the NETControl remote software. NETControl allows users to monitor, configure and connect any Orban OPTICODEC connected to the user’s network.
E 11
The software runs on MS Windows®
XP, Vista and 7.
E 12
OPTICODEC 7600 comes with up to 3x ISDN (64-384 kbps), 1 x X.21 or 1 x V.35, 10/100Base Tx, External Sync on BNC, Alarm Control Interface, Remote Port / Ancillary Data Port over RS232 or USB Full speed, AES/EBU and Analog I/O on XLR.
E 13
With the POTS interface, the analogue telephone system can be used to send a contribution. The POTS interface uses the most efficient low bitrate codec, AAC (LE/HE), allowing high quality audio at bitrates that analog telephone lines can support.
E 14
The respective connection can be established quickly and easily. Select ‘Connect’ from the main menu and press ‘Enter’ to confirm.
The directory for IP addresses and ISDN numbers with 96 entries appears.
E 15
After successful synchronisation your OPTICODEC displays ‘ISDN OK’ and goes to the online menu.
