1. 4 TRANSPORTATION, HANDLING AND STORAGE: A.
All the components of public address system shall be provided in manufacturer's original new and unopened packing bearing manufacturer's name and label.
B.
Store materials not in actual use in covered and wellventilated area and protect them from dirt, dust, moisture, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
C.
For further requirements follow manufacturer's written instruction regarding storage and handling.
1. 5 WARRANTY: A.
Submit written guarantee signed by the contractor, manufacturer for the period of 1 year from the date of substantial completion. The guarantee shall cover the repair and replacement of defective materials and workmanship as directed by the Engineer.
1. 6 QUALITY ASSURANCE: A.
Manufacturer's Qualifications: Firms regularly engaged in manufacture of public address systems and components, whose products have been in satisfactory use in similar services for not less than 5 years period, and shall be subject to approval of Engineer.
B.
Installer Qualifications: An experienced specialist subcontractor who is authorized by the system manufacturer, and subject to approval of the Engineer.
C.
All the components and installations shall comply with the requirements of specified codes and standards.
D.
Single Source Responsibility: All components accessories shall be product of single manufacturer.

PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2. 1 GENERAL: A.
The Contractor shall furnish and install all equipment, accessories and material required for the installation of the specified sound systems. Any material and/or equipment necessary for the proper operation of the system not specified or described herein shall be deemed part of these specifications. The equipment described and furnished under these specifications shall be the standard product of one manufacturer. Number of each equipment shall be as shown on the drawings, and shall be mounted in rack. Provide interface with fire alarm system for broadcasting of prerecorded message for evacuation in case of fire.
2. 2 PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM: A.
General: Public address system shall consist of power amplifiers, line amplifier tuner, CD player, cassette player, dynamic microphones, speakers, power supply, and other components required to complete the system. All fixed public address system equipment shall be rack-mounted type provided with manufacturer's standard cabinet rack. Public address system shall have input from prayer hall for prayer call and from fire alarm system for pre-recorded announcement incase of fire.

Power Amplifiers: Power amplifiers of capacity as shown on drawings shall be dual-channel with the proper nominal power suiting the speaker loads. They shall have excellent frequency response and harmonic distortion ratings. Magnetic circuit breaker power switch with 3-second turn-on delay shall be provided. The amplifiers shall be short-circuit protected and shall have current limiter circuitry as well as protection, signal presence and peak indicator LEDs.

Line Amplifier: Shall combine pre-amp signals with no mixing loss, and shall have following features: Bass and treble tone control. Volume control. Output level: 0dBv. Output impedance: 600 ohms, balanced. 16770 – 7/٣

Frequency response: 30-20000Hz (plus or minus 1dB). Distortion: Less than 0.3% @ 1kHz.

Cassette Player: Shall be double cassette player suitable for normal, chrome and metal tapes. Cassette player shall have following features: Timer controlled operation and endless playback. Dolby B-type noise reduction. Playing System: Auto reverse for endless play. Built-in AGC. Frequency response: 50-15000Hz (plus or minus 1dB). Distortion: Less than 3%. Power: 120V AC 50/60Hz. S/N ratio: 50dB (dolby off), 60dB (dolby on) Wow & flutter: less than 0.2% (wrms). Frequency response: 70Hz-10kHz (+1dB, -2dB). Distortion: <2% THD at rated output. S/N ratio: 80dB. Input: 0dBv (adjustable), phone jack, balanced. Isolated transformer balanced outputs for 70V/100V. AC/DC operation.

CD Player: Shall be automatic multi-CD player and shall be provided with carousel disk changing system for automatic playing of five (5) CD's. It shall have following features: Optic digital output. Advance editing for optimized recording. Full repeat for continuous prolonged playing. Random programming of 32 selections. Frequency response : 50-20000Hz, 0.5dB. Dynamic range : >96dB. S./n ratio : >102dB. Channel separation : >100dB. THD + noise : 0.003%. Phase linearity : 0.2 %. Wow & flutter : quartz precision.

Microphone: 1.
Microphone shall be of the dynamic, low-impedance, uni-directional type with built-in compressor circuit and level indicator to prevent distortion, and suitable for announcement to each or all zones. INSTALLATION: A.
The entire sound system shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's drawings, instructions and recommendations.
B.
All electrical conduits, wiring and methods shall conform to the requirements of Section 16060 - BASIC MATERIALS AND METHODS.

In general, all cable shall be installed in raceway. Conduit shall be stuffed from all equipment backs boxes communication cabinets. Cable can be run exposed from floor to floor between cabinets stacked one on top of each other. Cable run in cabinets and/or cable tray shall be bundled
TESTING: A.
The completed installation shall be tested in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendation. Testing shall be conducted by representative of the manufacturer. END OF SECTION
