VAZATA vSTRUCTURE IaaS PLATFORM The VAZATA environment is architected on enterprise-class hardware and software to deliver redundant and scalable functionality.
The Four Basic Layers of vStructure: 1) D ata Center Layer – Two vStructure deployments, one in Texas and one in Virginia, all connected using the vConnect Data Center network. 2) N etwork/Security Layer: 3-tier Architecture – VAZATA’s Network Layer utilizes a 3-tier architecture:
TIER 1: Security and Routing Layer
TIER 2: CORE Distribution Layer
TIER 3: Customer Distribution Layer
This tier is responsible for routing exchanges with multiple ISPs, firewall functionality and Intrusion Detection & Prevention.
A high-speed, fully meshed distribution layer between Tiers 1 and Tiers 3 and contains customer side load balancing services.
The network layer’s connectivity to the compute layer. The compute layer is connected to the network layer via a meshed switching configuration.
3) C ompute Layer – The compute layer is comprised of highly redundant, resilient blade technology allowing for the rapid expansion of resources, both from a provider and customer perspective. The VAZATA virtual environment runs on enterprise class, VMware virtualization solutions. 4) S torage Layer – vStructure’s storage layer is purpose-built specifically to protect customer data. Power, storage switch fabrics, shelves and individual arrays are all built with redundancy in mind, utilizing industry standard RAID configurations to protect customer data.
