IMAC
1 Turn ON iMac, Audio Receiver, Switcher, and
Projector with remotes. * Panamax power management must remain on.
2 Check cable connections and set inputs:
a. HDMI cable from patch box connects to the thunderbolt port on the back of the iMac using an adapter. b. HDMI cable is also used for sound. In System Preferences set Audio Output to HDMI (ATL1080P MCH).
3 Set Switcher input setting:
a. Set input on Switcher to Classroom iMac, Input 2 (use remote, press button: 2).
4 Set inputs, resolution and adjust levels:
a. Set input on Audio Receiver to AV2 PCL (use input dial). b. Set the projector to HDMI by pressing HDMI 1 button on the projector remote. c. Set display resolution to ATL 1080P MCH > Best for ATL 1080P MCH on the iMac under System Preferences > Display. d. Adjust audio levels using Audio Receiver volume dial.
VGA & RCA on Patch Box
LAPTOP
* The iMac computer in A208 is the default setup
for computer presentations. It is recommended that presenters use this computer if possible. * Panamax power management must remain on.
1 Turn ON Laptop, Audio Receiver, Switcher, and Projector with remotes.
2 Check cable connections:
a. HDMI cable from patch box connects to the thunderbolt port on your laptop using an adapter. Adapters are available at the Multimedia Office for sign out. b. HDMI cable is also used for sound. In System Preferences set Audio Output to HDMI.
3 Set Switcher input setting:
a. Set input on Switcher to Classroom iMac, Input 2 (use remote, press button: 2).
d. Adjust audio levels using iMac volume control and/or Audio Receiver volume dial. e. Set the projector to VGA by pressing PC button on the projector remote. f. Set display resolution to Optimize for: iMac > Scaled > 1920 x 1080 under System Preferences > Displays on the iMac
VCR
1 Turn ON Blu-Ray, Audio Receiver, Switcher,
and Projector with remotes. * Panamax power management must remain on.
2 Set inputs, adjust levels:
a. Set input on Audio Receiver to AV2 PCL (use input dial). b. Set the projector to HDMI by pressing HDMI 1 BLU-RAY / DVD button on the projector remote. c. Set input on Switcher to Blu-Ray, Input 1 (use remote, press button: 1). d. Adjust audio levels using Audio Receiver volume dial.
3 Control playback using the Sharp Blu-Ray disk player remote control.
a. Set input on Audio Receiver to AV2 PCL (use input dial). b. Set the projector to HDMI by pressing HDMI 1 button on the projector remote. c. Set display resolution to Scaled > 1080p under System Preferences > Displays on the laptop d. Adjust audio levels using Audio Receiver volume dial.
1 Turn ON VCR (w/ remote), Audio Receiver
(w/ Main Power button), Switcher (w/ Switcher remote), and Projector (w/ Projector remote). * Panamax power management must remain on.
2 Insert VHS tape. 3 Set inputs, adjust levels:
a. Set input on Audio Receiver to AV2 PCL (use input dial). b. Set the projector to HDMI by pressing HDMI 1 button on the projector remote. c. Set input on Switcher to VCR, Input 4 (use remote, press button: 4). d. Adjust audio levels using Audio Receiver volume dial.
3 Control playback using the buttons on front of VCR.
AUDIO RECEIVER
4 Set inputs, resolution and adjust levels:
* When using a VGA (video) & RCA (audio)
connection: a. Set input on Audio Receiver to AV5 VCR (use input dial). b. Set the iMac audio output to Internal Speakers (Built-in) in System Preferences > Sound > Output c. Set input on Switcher to Classroom iMac, Input 2 (use remote, press button: 2).

1 Turn ON Switcher with remote. 2 Select the device you need with remote: 1 Press button 1 for Blu-Ray Player. 2 Press button 2 for Classroom iMac. 3 Press button 3 for Film Dept. Mac. 4 Press button 4 for VCR. 5 Press button 5 for VIDYO.
