A700 DASH CAM USER MANUAL This product uses a high performance chipset, with high definition video, seamless dynamic pictures, and supports FHD 1080P recording. Before using this product, please read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference. **NOTE: This device is designed to be plugged in using the power charger provided for normal use. PLEASE PLUG THE DASH CAM IN OR IT WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY** I. PRODUCT FEATURES AND BUTTON FUNCTION: 01: Power ON/OFF and LED (night vision) ON/OFF 1) Power on/off the Dash Cam: Press for 3 seconds to turn the unit ON/OFF. The Dash Cam will enter recording mode automatically. If you continue to keep pressing this button, recording will stop and the video files will be saved. 2) Power on/off the night vision back light: While the Dash Cam is on, press the Power on/off button to choose: LED night light ON/OFF/AUTO; in the mode of LED light ‘AUTO’, the LED light is controlled by photoconductive resistance or the brightness of light sensed by the camera lens 02. Record/Photo/OK/Full Screen 1) Start/Stop recording In video mode, press the OK button to start recording, press again and the recording will stop. 2) Photo In photo mode, press the OK button to take a photo 3) Playback In playback mode, press the OK button to play the videos. 4) OK button In video mode/photo mode/playback mode, press the menu button to enter the Menu screen. In the Menu Screen, press the UP/DOWN arrows to browse, and press the OK button to confirm. 5) Full-screen button In video mode/photo mode/playback mode, pressing the OK button can switch between full-screen and regular mode. 03. Up/ motion detection/fast backward 1) UP (arrow) button When in the menu setting and camera switching mode, press button to scroll up 2) Motion detection In standby mode, press button to turn motion detection on/off 3) Fast backward In playback mode, press button to play file backward at high speed 04. Down button/mute/fast forward 1)DOWN (arrow) button In menu setting and camera switch mode, it is the DOWN function 2)Mute In video mode, press to turn audio on/off Note: the setting will be saved automatically, no need to set again 3)Fast forward In playback mode, press to play fast forward 05. Menu In standby mode, press to enter into the main menu setting. Press the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to select the options you want, and press the button to confirm. Once settings are finished, press the button to exit. 06. Mode button In standby mode, press button to switch between different modes (Video/Photo/Playback) 07. SOS button In video mode, if want to protect (save) the current video, press the orange button to ‘lock it’. A ‘key’ icon will appear on the screen. The video file will now NOT be recorded over during standard cyclic recording. NOTE: If all files are recorded as protected, or ‘locked’ files, then the Micro SD card will fill up and you will get a ‘Card Full’ message. Delete files, format memory card, and turn off locking function (until needed) to continue. II. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 01. Power off the car engine 02. Put a formatted Micro SD card into the Dash Cam memory slot Note: Please use high speed TF (Micro SD Card), at least class 6, with a min. capacity of 2GB, but not more than 32GB. 03. Using suction mount, attach the dash cam to the windshield (ensure windshield is clean) 04. Insert the car charger into cigarette lighter (IMPORTANT) 05. Connect car charger and USB interface of device with charge extension cable Notice: put charging extension cable along the edge of the windscreen 06. Adjust the lens and keep the lens parallel with the ground. 07. Start the engine, confirm the Dash Cam turns on. Note: When DVR is installed correctly, the system working indicator light will turn on; the DVR will turn on and be in video recording mode, the recording indicator light will flash. Please confirm if the picture of the screen is normal, if the screen picture is inverted, or not displaying properly, please contact us immediately. III. BASIC FUNCTIONS 01. Recording automatically Once you power on the car engine, the device will be automatically start recording (the dash cam MUST be plugged into operate). The charging indicator will be on and recording indicator will be on. Once you power off the engine, the video will be saved before the device is turned off. The video will be saved in the TF card. Normally, when the TF card is full the device will record over the files recorded earlier (cyclical recording). Notice: a. Recording time can be set in menu. There are 2/3/5 minute options b. The video file taken by the camera will be saved in DCIM folder of Micro SD card c. If the cycle recording time is off, when SD card is full, the device will stop recording. 02. Recording manually Press the Power button for 3 seconds and the device will turn on and start recording automatically (note the recording indicator). Press the Power button again for 3 seconds, and the device will save the file and turn off. 03. Photo In standby mode, press the MODE button to enter into photo mode, as shown in the top left corner of screen (the ‘Recording’ icon will change into ‘Photo’ icon). Press to take photos. Press the button twice to switch to ‘Recording’ mode. 04. Motion detection In standby mode, press , and motion detection will turn on. When something moves in front of the camera, the device will start recording automatically. If nothing moves for 5 seconds, the device will stop recording. Press the button for 3 seconds when device is not recording, and motion detection will be off 05. G-sensor The device has a built-in ‘G-sensor’, so when serious vehicle collisions happen, the device will lock the video file. During regular operation, this ‘locked’ video file starts 10 seconds before the accident and ends 2/3/5 minutes after the accident (depending on settings). In addition, the screen will display a lock icon. The locked video will be saved as a special file which will be protected from standard cycle recording. Notice: a. The locked video file has a different naming convention (e.g. LOCKXXX for locked file, while the general video is named MOVIXXX). b. G-sensor has a sensitivity adjustment; it can be set based on your preferences. 06. Date and time set In standby mode, press the button to enter into system setting menu, then press UP/DOWN to move the cursor to the date/time setting, and press to select. Notice: In order to correctly record the date and time of accident, please set the correct date and time BEFORE using this device. 07. USB Flash Disk Connect the device to computer with USB cable. The LCD screen will show two options: ‘storage’, and ‘PC camera’. Press UP/DOWN (if needed) to select the ‘storage’ option, press to confirm, and enter into USB Flash storage. Your computer must have the required drivers to recognize the device, as with any storage device. 08. Playback In standby mode, press the button twice to switch to playback mode. Press the UP/DOWN buttons to find the file for playback, and press the button to play the selected file. Press again to exit playback mode. IV.
