The network driver is automatically found and integrated – see (A), figure below. Using the GSM/LTE stick Using the GSM/LTE stick General configuration Please note that, due to the variety of firmware versions of the various manufacturers, slight deviations in the procedure may occur (see Telekom example). The USB version of the AC WLAN supports a variety of GSM/LTE sticks. A constantly updated list of compatible sticks can be viewed in the download area at www.rutenbeck.de Please proceed as following in order to configure: 1 Insert the GSM/LTE stick into the AC WLAN USB socket. 2 Activate the AC WLAN DHCP server by going to the “Network > IP Settings” page and opening the configuration page of the LAN interface there. 3 Remove the checkmark (B) next to “Ignore Interface”. 4 If necessary, change the DHCP server settings (see C). 7 Then assign precisely the name “mobile” (E) to the interface. 8 Select UMTS/GPRS/EV-DO as the protocol. 9 Click on “Send”. B C 5 Assume the new configuration via “Save & Apply”. 6 Add a new interface (D) under “Network > IP Settings” (D). D E Using the GSM/LTE stick 3 Using the GSM/LTE stick General configuration (continuation) 10 The interface now needs to be configured – in order to do so, enter the access data of your provider. 11 /dev/tty/USB0 must be used as the “Modem Device” (F). The entry is available approx. 30 seconds after the stick has been inserted. If you incorrectly enter the SIM card PIN, your SIM card will be blocked. After approximately half a minute, the GTM/LTE stick should have connected to the mobile network. F An overview of the interfaces can be seen on the “Network > IP Settings” page. Via the AC WLAN LAN and WLAN interface, it is now possible to establish a connection with the devices which will automatically be given an IP address. At this point, configuration is completed and the Internet is now available via the mobile network. Special features with the T-Mobile Speedstick LTE 4 T-Mobile „Speedstick LTE 4“ configuration With this stick, the interface for the Speedstick must be assigned differently – in doing so, the name can be freely selected. 1 Select “DHCP Client” as the protocol. 2 Precisely enter “eth2” into the “User Defined Interface” field (G). 3 Then insert the Speedstick and restart the AC WLAN. The Speedstick uses the IP address 192.168.1.1 as standard. The AC WLAN LAN interface must differ from that of the Speedstick. G 4 Using the GSM/LTE stick 4 Where necessary, the IP address can be changed in the Speedstick configuration menu. Controlling printers via the AC WLAN USB interface Controlling printers via the AC WLAN USB interface General information Printers can be controlled in two different ways via the USB version of the AC WLAN: ·· Direct control via a desktop computer or ·· Direct control of a printer using mobile devices via WLAN Direct control (Win) Please proceed as following in order to configure: 1 Connect a USB printer to the AC WLAN USB socket via cable. 2 In the AC WLAN web interface, click on the respective button (H) in the “Settings” field on the “Services > Print Server” page. 3 Activate the setting via “Save & Apply”.
