AC7004/DC4000 Initial Treadmill Setup System Calibration Model selection The first time a treadmill or replacement Display Board is turned on the word “UNDEFINED” is displayed the in TOP WINDOW of the Console. This is known as the Model Selection Mode. To select a model: 1. Press any UP (^) or DOWN (V) button until desired model “AC7000 or DC4000” is displayed in the TOP WINDOW of the Console. 2. Press ENTER to update and advance to the Elevation Calibration mode. Elevation Calibration (AC7000 AND DC4000) The treadmill must undergo an elevation Calibration Procedure. When “ECAL” displays the in TOP WINDOW complete the following: NOTE: Pressing ENTER will skip the Elevation Calibration Procedure. 1. Press both the ELEVATION UP (^) and the ELEVATION DOWN (V) Buttons until “PRESS START TO BEGIN” is displayed in the TOP WINDOW. 2. Press START NOTE: The unit will automatically start the ECAL routine and elevate from 0% grade to 25% grade and then return to home position. The TOP WINDOW will either display “UPPER ELEV” or “LOWER ELEV”. The TIME WINDOW will display the current scalar elevation value 0-1024. 3. Once the routine is complete the TOP WINDOW will toggle through “UPPER ELEV” (the TIME WINDOW will display the 25% grade scalar value), “LOWER ELEV” (the TIME WINDOW will display the 0% grade scalar value), and “DONE”. 4. The maximum “UPPER ELEV” value should be no more than 70. 5. The maximum “LOWER ELEV” value should be no less than 940. 6. If the aforementioned criteria are not met please press START and repeat steps two through five. If ineffective please contact SCIFIT. 7. If the aforementioned criteria are met press ENTER to update and advance to the Speed Calibration Procedure. F:\Quality Team\JB\ 11/2/2005 2 AC7000 Speed Calibration To ensure the speed accuracy of the Treadmill a Speed Calibration Procedure is required. When “SCAL” displays the in TOP WINDOW stand clear of the belt and complete the following: NOTE: Pressing ENTER will skip the Speed Calibration Procedure. 1. Remove the Motor Hood and make sure the Hz LED is lit on the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). 2. Press both the ELEVATION UP (^) and the ELEVATION DOWN (V) Buttons on the console until “PRESS START TO BEGIN” is displayed in the TOP WINDOW. 3. Press START 4. The Treadmill will start to run slowly. “SCAL.L .3m” will display in the TOP WINDOW and the scalar value (15) will display in the TIME WINDOW. 5. A frequency value will display in the window of the VFD. 6. The target VFD frequency value is between 1.18 and 1.60 7. Press UP (^) or DOWN (V) button on console until VFD target value is achieved (allowable scalar value is between 12 and 18) in the time window. 8. Press ENTER 9. The Treadmill will start to run fast. “SCAL.H 15m” will display in the TOP WINDOW and the scalar value (982) will display in the TIME WINDOW. 10. The target VFD frequency value is between 65.2 and 65.8 11. Press UP (^) or DOWN (V) button on console until VFD target value is achieved (allowable scalar value is between 970 and 985) in the time window. 12. Press ENTER 13. A frequency value will display in the window of the VFD. 14. The target VFD frequency value is between 26.18 and 26.25. 15. Do not press the SPEED buttons 16. Press “ELEVATION” UP (^) or DOWN (V) button on console until VFD target value is achieved (allowable scalar value is between 375 and 395) in the time window. 17. Press START to repeat steps 4 through 17 if need be. 18. Press ENTER twice to update. The treadmill is now calibration and ready for use. DC4000 Automatic Speed Calibration To ensure the speed accuracy of the Treadmill a Speed Calibration Procedure is required. When “SCAL” displays the in TOP WINDOW stand clear of the belt and complete the following: NOTE: Pressing ENTER will skip the Speed Calibration Procedure. 3 1. Press both the ELEVATION UP (^) and the ELEVATION DOWN (V) Buttons on the console until “PRESS START TO BEGIN” is displayed in the TOP WINDOW. 2. Press the START button to begin the Automatic speed calibration sequence. 3. The belt will start moving and remain in motion at various speeds though step 12. 4. The TOP WINDOW display LO, Actual speed and the target speed. Ex: LO .34 .30 5. The TIME WINDOW will display the scalar value of 40 and automatically adjust the value until the actual speed and the target speed match. 6. The scalar value should remain between 30 and 50, if not the manual calibration should be performed. 7. The TOP WINDOW will then display HI “actual speed” 10. 8. The TIME WINDOW will display the scalar value of 705 and automatically adjust this value until the actual speed and the target speed match. 9. The scalar value should remain between 685 and 725, if not a manual calibration should be performed. 10. The TOP WINDOW will then display MD “actual speed” 5. 11. The TIME WINDOW will display the scalar value of 363 and automatically adjust this value until the actual speed and the target speed match. 12. The scalar value should remain between 350 and 370, if not a manual calibration should be performed. 13. The belt will stop. The TOP WINDOW will display “SCAL pass” or “SCAL fail”. 14. If “SCAL PASS” is displayed the calibration is complete. If “SCAL fail” is displayed perform the manual SCAL procedure. DC4000 Manual Speed Calibration To ensure the speed accuracy of the Treadmill a Speed Calibration Procedure is required. When “SCAL” displays the in TOP WINDOW stand clear of the belt and complete the following: NOTE: Pressing ENTER will skip the Speed Calibration Procedure. 1. Press both the ELEVATION UP (^) and the ELEVATION DOWN (V) Buttons on the console until “PRESS START TO BEGIN” is displayed in the TOP WINDOW. 2. Press the SELECT button to begin the Manual speed calibration sequence. 3. The belt will start moving and remain in motion at various speeds though step 12. 4. The TOP WINDOW display LO, Actual speed and the target speed. 5. Ex: LO .34 .30 6. Adjust the OFFSET Potentiometer (TP6) all of the way clockwise. 7. While the belt is slowly moving check the torque on the belt by plant your feet on the belt and resisting the motion. When the belt is stepped on it should not slow down more than .05MPH. When stepping off of the belt it should not speed up more than .03MPH than the “No Load Speed”. 8. If the torque is set too high adjust the feedback potentiometer (FB / TP12) counter clockwise. 9. If the torque is set too low adjust the feedback potentiometer (FB / TP12) clockwise. 10. The TIME WINDOW will display the scalar value of 40. 4 11. Adjust the speed value using the SPEED UP (^) or SPEED DOWN(V) buttons until the actual speed and the target speed match. 12. The scalar value should remain between 30 and 50. 13. Press ENTER. 14. The TOP WINDOW will then display HI “actual speed” 10. 15. The TIME WINDOW will display the scalar value of 705. 16. Adjust the V-IN Potentiometer (TP4) Counter clockwise to speed up the belt and clockwise to slow down the belt. Adjust the V-IN potentiometer to get the target speed as close to 10MPH before fine tuning on the console. 17. Using the SPEED UP(^) or SPEED DOWN(V) buttons, adjust the speed value until the actual speed and the target speed match. 18. The scalar value should remain between 685 and 725. 19. Press ENTER. 20. The TOP WINDOW will then display MD “actual speed” 5. 21. The TIME WINDOW will display the scalar value of 363. 22. Using the SPEED UP(^) or SPEED DOWN(V) buttons, adjust the speed value until the actual speed and the target speed match. 23. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATION BUTTONS. 24. The scalar value should remain between 350 and 370. 25. Press ENTER. 26. The display will automatically update.
