PAC’s 512 and 512IP controllers have been designed to provide a flexible configuration to help secure and monitor customer’s premises, capable of controlling the access through two individual doors with the option of having read in/out on both channels. Embedded Microsoft Windows CE.net and a powerful Intel Xscale processor ensure secure and high speed access to thousands of users, without the need to disable any features or functionality. The PAC 500 coordinates a wide variety of alarms, monitoring devices and elevators. It is capable of hosting and coordinating up to 48 local devices, such as the PAC 512, PAC 520 or PAC 530 controllers which can be used to control access doors, monitor input devices or control output devices. This flexibility allows systems to be designed with the correct mixture of features and functionality to meet the site’s requirements. System downtime is costly, particularly in a highly secure environment. The PAC 500 overcomes this potential risk through the use of its Distributed Intelligent Controllers. Even when the main communication lines are lost, the security at the facility can still be maintained. This proven solution supports a countless number of access decisions, meshes multiple locations seamlessly, centralises management and provides industry-standard secure networking. Designed with distributed intelligence, all access decisions are made by the PAC 512/512IP controller, sustaining access decisions in the event of communication failure to the administration software. Communication to the controlling software can be via GSM/GPRS or Telephone Modem by using an appropriate device connected via the RS232 port or direct to the PC by RS485, or IP. On-board relays are included for each door channel which can be configured to monitor external devices such as door contacts or tamper circuits plus separate relay for controlling the door lock. The PAC 512/512IP controller can also be configured to provide local anti-passback to increase the security of key doors. The PAC 512/512IP can control up to 23 additional PAC 512’s via the built in RS485 connection, allowing a simple and speedy system expansion. RS-485 cabling must be a daisy chain format using a twisted pair cable. If the daisy chain format is not followed you run the risk of signal reflections that will result in intermittent or permanent loss of communications at one or more node. To ensure reliable performance of the RS-485 Bus, PAC recommend using CAT 5 unshielded twisted pair cable (UTP) for normal installations or screened twisted pair cable (STP) in harsh environments (RFI/EMI). Correctly installing a system using RS-485 will remove the cost of multiple call outs and the cost of reconfiguring the network. • 20 User Configurable Inputs (Supervised and Non-Supervised) • 2 x 2Amp Output Relays configurable as Latched, Momentary, Toggled or Pulsed • RS-485 port for connection to the controlling PAC 500 Alarm Server 20051 PAC 530 Output Controller (with DIN Mount) PAC 530 Output Controller (in a metal case no PSU) Complete with DIN Mount for fitting in to PAC’s DIN Mount cases Complete with metal case - no PSU • 10 user Configurable Outputs configurable as Latched, Momentary, Toggle or Pulsed • 2 user Configurable Inputs - Supervised or Momentary • 1 Additional 10/100mA polyfused Aux output • RS-485 port for connection to the controlling PAC 500 Access and Alarm Server (p/n 10031 and 10032) CABLE OUT TO NEXT CONTROLLER • 10 user Configurable Outputs configurable as Latched, Momentary, Toggle or Pulsed • 2 user Configurable Inputs - Supervised or Momentary • 1 Additional 10/100mA polyfused Aux output • RS-485 port for connection to the controlling PAC 500 Access and Alarm Server DO NOT USE 20052 20050 15 16 PAC - Access Control | Controllers PAC - Access Control | Controllers PAC Modem Kits & Ancillary Items Associated Equipment PAC 512 GPRS/GSM Modem Kit Four-way lockable DIN rail enclosure Six-way lockable DIN rail enclosure DIN rail power supply with battery charger DIN rail power supply with battery charger Complete with fixing for tamper switch Complete with fixing for tamper switch output 12/24V DC at up to 7.2 Amp output 12/24V DC at up to 3.0 Amp (Tamper switch not included) (Tamper switch not included) 10031 10032 22008 Designed to work with the PAC 512 Controller (V3.1 or later) each kit comes with Designed to work with the PAC 512 Controller (V3.1 or later) each kit comes with • GPRS/GSM Modem • GPRS/GSM Modem • High Gain GPRS/GSM Aerial • Low Profile Aerial • PAC 512 Serial Cable and fixing kit • Serial Cable 22059 21077 Did you know we also offer a database upgrade service? 21079 EasiKey 1000n/PAC 2200 GSM Modem Kit PAC can take your existing P4W or Vision database and convert to a SecureNet system allowing you to take advantage of the many new features included in SecureNet. Their fully owned UK data centres are service led, compliant and secure by design. Our solution offers a full and stable backup, along with secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection. This allows the end users to manage the operation of their system from within their own building, meaning the daily administration tasks can run smoothly and uninterrupted. Access Service Hosting is a robust and ultra secure environment for storing and managing your security application. Administering your system has never been easier. Whether you’re on the move with limited mobile internet access or in a remote office with connection only to your network, we understand that different applications require different solutions. Our hosted system is designed to provide the highest security standards to suit your different operational requirements, without compromising the ease of use. Secure HTTPS Connection and RSA Key For users who rely on mobile connectivity or want to add new credentials to the system when on site, the Secure HTTPS Connection or RSA Key are the perfect solutions to securely accommodate these requirements and more. Flexible by design and guarded by engineering, these connection options deliver on their promise with no compromise to the security of your system’s information. Fixed VPN For customers who would like to access and control their system via their own network we recommend our fixed VPN connection. It provides a direct link between where the system is stored and the customer’s network which can be accessed from any associated pc. The fixed VPN connection can also incorporate our remote Secure HTTPS Connection offering a truly flexible solution for customers with diverse requirements. OVER-AIR IP The PAC Hosted solution provides unprecedented flexibility which allows multiple connection methods to the remotely located door controller equipment. For legacy customers who have for many years taken advantage of fixed line telephone connections, or more recently circuit switched (CSD) GSM, we can continue to utilise this type of connection. For new or upgraded installations where faster communication methods are required, such as our own Over-Air IP (GPRS), PAC can also provide modems. These can come complete with SIM or work with the incumbent service provider to enable a remote IP connection to be made with the system’s database. All of these options provide flexible methods of utilising existing infrastructures. Our mixed connection design allows the customer to benefit from a fully cloud based solution without the need to upgrade any communication equipment. 43 44 PAC - Access Control | Partners 45 PAC - Access Control | STANLEY Door Closers AVAILABLE 24/7 STANLEY - Door closers CONNECTION DIAGRAM Telecoms Network CSD GSM PSTN FIXED LINE TELEPHONE Remote Site PSTN Storing your data in a secure location reduces the risk to your data only partially as even the most robust protection from a physical attack cannot prevent power outages caused by incidents such as a fire, flood or loss of incoming electricity supply. The browser interface is optimised to be viewed from any device: PC, laptop, tablet or mobile phone. Our solution matches the functionality of a typical browser page while maintaining the characteristics of PAC software. The result is an easy to navigate, featurerich environment you are familiar with. Included in the browser is our Web Admin application which allows the administration of new keyholder cards or resident tokens with our standard GS3 Admin reader from a browser page*.
