Suprex®
Supervised Reader-Extender Wired Suprex® • Connect readers to access control panels using existing RS-485, Ethernet, or Fiber Optic to save time & money • Connect readers to panels in isolated locations without buying a second control panel • Overcome Wiegand distance limitations using existing cable SPX-1300
• RS-485 models provide high immunity to electrical noise under adverse conditions, such as elevator installations.
Wireless Suprex® • Install readers in elevators, across parking lots, railroad tracks, or in another building • Install readers without trenching or disturbing buildings with asbestos or historical significance • Wirelessly overcome Wiegand distance limitations SPX-5641

Traditional installation with 10+ wires between door or gate & control panel.
Wired Suprex installation with existing cable between Suprex Remote & Central units, connected to reader & access control system.
Wireless Suprex installation with wireless signal connecting Suprex Remote & Central units, connected to reader & access control system.

Handheld
wireless credential reader The handheld reader verifies credentials by wirelessly communicating with a live database through the reader's base unit. The handheld unit can control a relay for functions such as opening doors or gates, or triggering possible duress notifications. Choose a single reader kit, 2-reader kit, or the gate-selection reader with a 2-Wiegand output base unit. See credential technologies, page 11.

connects to a badge reader and plugs into a computer USB port, then "types" badge data into an Excel file or other software application. Allows the computer to imitate a control panel by collecting the badge data for debugging, or time and attendance.
Barcode scanner kit pairs a pre-configured DataBender™ and scanner to convert barcodes or QR codes to Wiegand. Recommended for visitor lobby, time & attendance, turnstile, parking, and point-of-sale applications. TSP-3100
Time Display series synchronizes access control panel with displayed time to prevent labor issues. Time drivers and time display components are available. CCK-3104

The Security Industry Association’s powerful new standard
What
Why
• New SIA access control protocol for interoperability
• OSDP Secure Channel protects access control systems from hackers
• Started by HID Global & Mercury Security Corporation • Transferred to the Security Industry Association's Standards Committee • On track to become a true ANSI standard • Expected to replace Wiegand interface • OSDP-enabled products on the
with AES-128 encryption • Interoperable: Mix & match components to help futureproof systems • 2-way communication for sophisticated processing and supervision • Uses 2 wires instead of 10+, allows for multi-drop installations, stands up
market since 2015
