The Access Easy Control System from Bosch is a powerful, web-based access control system designed specially for small to medium scale enterprise applications. It combines the power and flexibility of working on the Internet with complete access control into one system. It lets you manage every aspect of facility access control easily – including monitoring, managing and controlling doors, access readers, alarms, and other devices connected to AEC – using a standard Java Web Browser from any computer.

AEC-EXT-UPS1
Access Easy Controller Hardware consists of: • Metal Enclosure with CPU board • Internal power supply and transformer • Secure communication board • RS-485 converter board • Four reader interface, which can support four Wiegand compatible readers, 8 input points and 8 relay output points
The Extension Enclosure is identical in size to the basic controller. It contains a power supply card, and space to install up to three additional reader controller and/or Input-Output cards. A RS-485 Converter card is used to connect the interface cards in the expansion controller to the main controller. You can extend up to 16 wiegand readers and 32 Input/Output to your AEC system.

The 4-reader interface board contains all circuitry necessary to interface with, and operate, up to four card readers. It also provides wiring termination points for the readers, door strikes or magnetic locks, door contacts and “Request-to-Exit” devices. The reader board interfaces to the CPU card via the RS-485 Converter card.
The 8-Input / 8-Output card provides the circuitry necessary to monitor 8-alarm type (non-reader) inputs, and to control up to eight external devices, such as bells, fans, lights etc. The card also provides wiring termination points for the input and output devices. The card interfaces to the CPU card via the RS-485 Converter card.
The RS-485 Converter card provides the communication link between the CPU card and rest of the cards, mainly the 4-Reader Interface Card and the 8-Input / 8-Output Card.

4 AEC – Benefits
Bosch Dealer Benefits: No selling restrictions – sell systems of any size to any prospect Ready to sell as soon as you are – minimal training required! Manage systems remotely for your customers and build recurring revenue Web interface connects you (or your customer) to the system by computer, equipped with a java web browser No software installation – working from Web pages to manage the system No separate PC required – use any computer, regardless of hardware platform or operating system (including Windows, Mac and UNIX) for programming, reporting and administration
End User Benefits: Lower your total cost of ownership – no dedicated or specialized PC required Protect your investment – start small and build the system as you grow Eliminate employee confusion – easy-to-use system is simple to learn and manage Improved communications – to get updates and stay in touch automatically wherever you travel

6 AEMC – More than 16 readers?
6 AEMC – More than 16 readers? | 11
Start small – grow tomorrow Start by selling a four door system and then expand it easily to any size you need. The system is modular so you can sell what your customer needs today while giving both of you room for future expansion and service. To enlarge your AEC system from 17 doors onwards you simply have to add the Access Easy Master Controller. This will enable you to connect up to 20 AEC systems for expansion to 320 doors, 640 inputs and 640 output relays.

Client – Server Structure Access Easy Master Controller The distinct feature of the Access Easy Master Controller (AEMC) is that all Access Easy Controllers (AECs) are centrally administered from a single AEMC. Unlike most other access control panels, no special software is needed on a host computer. The software needed to program and operate the AEMC is built into the master controller. Data entry and system monitoring functions are performed by connecting to the master controller with a standard java web browser, such as Netscape Navigator® or Microsoft’s® Internet Explorer. A 80 GB IDE Hard Disk Drive stores the Access Easy Master program, system data and transactions.
