It combines the power and flexibility of working on the Internet with complete access control into one system. It lets you manage every aspect of facility access control easily – including monitoring, managing and controlling doors, access readers, alarms, and other devices connected to AEC – using a standard Java Web Browser from any computer. 2 AEC – Main Components AEC-4W-UPS1 AEC-EXT-UPS1 Access Easy Controller Hardware consists of: • Metal Enclosure with CPU board • Internal power supply and transformer • Secure communication board • RS-485 converter board • Four reader interface, which can support four Wiegand compatible readers, 8 input points and 8 relay output points The Extension Enclosure is identical in size to the basic controller. It contains a power supply card, and space to install up to three additional reader controller and/or Input-Output cards. A RS-485 Converter card is used to connect the interface cards in the expansion controller to the main controller. You can extend up to 16 wiegand readers and 32 Input/Output to your AEC system. 2 AEC – Main Components | 5 AEC-4W-EXT AEC-8I8O-EXT AEC-SER-EXT The 4-reader interface board contains all circuitry necessary to interface with, and operate, up to four card readers. It also provides wiring termination points for the readers, door strikes or magnetic locks, door contacts and “Request-to-Exit” devices. The reader board interfaces to the CPU card via the RS-485 Converter card. The 8-Input / 8-Output card provides the circuitry necessary to monitor 8-alarm type (non-reader) inputs, and to control up to eight external devices, such as bells, fans, lights etc. The card also provides wiring termination points for the input and output devices. The card interfaces to the CPU card via the RS-485 Converter card. The RS-485 Converter card provides the communication link between the CPU card and rest of the cards, mainly the 4-Reader Interface Card and the 8-Input / 8-Output Card. 3 AEC – Configuration Max. 1200 m Max. 150 m to card readers RS 485 CPU 4 reader board 8 I/O board 4 reader board 4 reader board 8 I/O board 4 reader board 8 I/O board 8 I/O board Example: 16 Readers, 32 I/O System (1x AEC and 2x AEC Extension Enclosure) 4 AEC – Benefits Bosch Dealer Benefits: No selling restrictions – sell systems of any size to any prospect Ready to sell as soon as you are – minimal training required! The system is modular so you can sell what your customer needs today while giving both of you room for future expansion and service. To enlarge your AEC system from 17 doors onwards you simply have to add the Access Easy Master Controller. This will enable you to connect up to 20 AEC systems for expansion to 320 doors, 640 inputs and 640 output relays. 7 AEMC – Configuration No. 1 Reader 1 Reader 2 AEC-EXT-UPS1 AEC-SW2-XX Reader 16 No. 2 Reader 17 Reader 18 AEC-EXT-UPS1 AEC-SW2-XX Access Easy Master Controller No. 20 Reader 32 Reader 305 Reader 306 AEC-EXT-UPS1 AEC-SW2-XX Reader 320 7 AEMC – Configuration | 13 Client – Server Structure Access Easy Master Controller The distinct feature of the Access Easy Master Controller (AEMC) is that all Access Easy Controllers (AECs) are centrally administered from a single AEMC. Unlike most other access control panels, no special software is needed on a host computer. The software needed to program and operate the AEMC is built into the master controller. Data entry and system monitoring functions are performed by connecting to the master controller with a standard java web browser, such as Netscape Navigator® or Microsoft’s® Internet Explorer. A 80 GB IDE Hard Disk Drive stores the Access Easy Master program, system data and transactions. 8 AEC – AEMC Technical Specification Dimensions Enclosure (H x W x D) 530 x 460 x 100 mm (17.9 x 20.7 x 3.9 inch) Environmental Relative humidity 10 % to 95 % at 32 °C (+90 °F) Operating temperature 0 °C to +50 °C (32 °F to 120 °C) Storage temperature 0 °C to +55 °C (32 °F to 130 °C) Inputs Access readers 16 per AEC system 320 per AEMC system wide Monitoring points 32 per AEC system 640 per AEMC system wide Outputs Control Points 32 control relay per AEC system 640 per AEMC system wide Ports Communication ports Two RJ-45 100 Base-T Ethernet Modem ports One RS-232 Bus expansion port Two 40-pin bus expansion Keyboard One PS/2 Monitor One VGA port 8 AEC – AEMC Technical Specification | 1515 Controller CPU 32-bit microprocessor – 300MHz Memory 128 MB RAM OS and storage 80 GB IDE Hard Disk (1.5 GB for OS, 78.5 GB for Storage) Concurrent users 24 concurrently + 1 super-user Users licenses Max. 25 user account, SAM control Up to 8 alphanumeric, case sensitive user IDs and passwords Database integrity Encryption used for user ID and PIN Max. number of AEC for AEMC Support up to 20 AEC Number of cardholders 409,600 (20,480 per AEC) Number of access groups 5,080 (254 access group per AEC) Number of access levels 1,024 (2 access group per access level) Number of global schedules 255 Number of global holidays 32 regular holidays & 32 special holidays Power requirements Primary voltage input 110 VAC+10/-15 % (50/60Hz) (AC): 230 VAC+10/-15% (50/60Hz) Secondary voltage input +5 VDC and +12 VDC for CPU board +15 VDC for all other boards Battery (optional backup battery:not included in standard package) 12 VDC, 7 Ah rechargeable battery Lifespan ~ 2 to 3 years Bosch Security Systems For more information please visit www.boschsecurity.com © Bosch Sicherheitssysteme GmbH, 2006 Modifications reserved Printed in Germany | 08/06 | Printer MS-OT-en-55_F01U518029_01
