Access Point Setup (NP124)
Configuring NP124 as a wireless access point This guide will take you through the steps to setup your NP124 as a wireless access point. Ensure that your computer is connected to the Ethernet port of the NP124 before you proceed with the guide.
1. Navigate to http://192.168.20.1 in a web browser.
2. Type admin as both the username and password. 3. Click OK to access the basic configuration page. 4. Select the Quick Setup menu then click on Manual Setup.
5. Select Access Point as the Operation Mode.
6. Type in the SSID(WiFi network name). This example uses “NetComm”. 7. Ensure that Broadcast SSID is ticked. 8. Select a Security Mode. This example uses “WPA2PSK”. 9. Select an Encryption Type. This example uses “AES”. 10. Type in a Passphrase. This will be the password or security key for your WiFi network. This example uses “a1b2cd4e5” which is the default security for the NP124. 11. Click Apply to save the changes. 12. Connect the Ethernet WAN cable to the Ethernet port of the NP124 to finish.
