AccessLinX Voice over IP and Data Gateway TX/3 + SFP AccessLinX delivers “triple-play” services to residential and business customers. The AccessLinX series of Voice over IP (VoIP) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) media gateways provides converged broadband services including voice, video and data over a single IP infrastructure. The AccessLinX TX/3 includes two analog voice lines and three 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, including a 100 Mbps Ethernet optical uplink. Thus, the AccessLinX series of VoIP and FTTH gateways cover the entire spectrum of requirements for both the enterprise VoIP environment and remote office connectivity. Furthermore, the AccessLinX TX/3 provides Enhanced Layer 2 IP switching with VLAN tagging, TOS marking (L3), security and Quality of Service (QoS) features support. AccessLinX also includes a Life Line connection which automatically switches over to a phone port in the event that the data uplink or the unit power is lost, thus guaranteeing phone usage. Fiber-to-the-Home/Multiple Dwelling Unit (FTTH/MDU). The flexible architecture of the AccessLinX TX/3 makes it a VoIP gateway platform that supports a variety of transmission technologies, such as 100 Mbps copper, single-mode or multi-mode fiber, and even bi-directional single-strand and CWDM fiber optics. Fiber support, with 100 Mbps bandwidth, enables the end-user to enjoy any bandwidth-hungry broadband application, such as Video-On-Demand, and enables the service provider to offer this service over a wide distribution area, while maintaining high quality of service. Back side (ports) Front side (LEDs) • Integrated Voice (VoIP), Video and Data IP media gateway • 2 Voice (FXS) ports • 3 Data 10/100BaseTX ports • 1 Uplink/ WAN port – 10/100BaseTX or 100BaseFX • 1 PSTN Life Line port – guarantees phone is always-on Voice (VoIP), video and data convergence. The AccessLinX series is the ideal CPE solution for service providers looking to deliver voice, video and data over copper or fiber to the end user. As these services are delivered over the same network infrastructure, it is imperative that CPE devices support higher-level Ethernet standards to ensure successful delivery of services. The AccessLinX TX/3 supports 802.1p QoS (voice over data & video priority), 802.1q VLAN tagging, Spanning Tree Protocol and IGMPv2 (for video streaming applications). The AccessLinX TX/3 supports all present VoIP protocols including SIP, MGCP and H.323. Easily enable other basic protocols, too. Adherence to such standards provides users with maximum interoperability with their existing network infrastructure. • Enhanced Video capabilities Small and medium enterprises usage. The AccessLinX TX/3 is the ideal solution for small and medium enterprises, providing reliability, functionality and economy. Users can easily set up IP-based phone calls while simultaneously using AccessLinX TX/3 as a high-bandwidth enterprise network connection. • Voice activity detection & prioritization Manageability. Easily manage the AccessLinX TX/3 by CLI, SNMP, HTTP, Telnet, local terminal and download of configuration and new software via DHCP server. In addition, the AccessLinX TX/3 supports iView². iView² allows for remote link enable/disable, software and device firmware updates as well as receiving all essential device traffic statistics via SNMP. iView² runs standalone on Windows NT/XP/2000/2003, as a standalone Java Application for other operating systems,as a snap-in module for HP OpenView, as a Web Server running under IIS or as a Java Web Servlet. • T.38 Facsimile over IP support • Full support for ITU SIP, MGCP and H.323 • Enhanced L2 switching capabilities Wire speed performance • Integrated Web server • Automatic tone generation: Dial, Busy, Ring-Back • DTMF detection and generation • IGMP Snooping • Automatic configuration (BOOTP) For assistance in selecting the right version of iView² for your operating system, please visit http://www.imcnetworks.com/products/iview2.asp. www.imcnetworks.com 800-624-1070 www.mediaconverter.com Application Example Using AccessLinX TX/3, service providers can supply both data and voice services, over one Ethernet connection, to small and midsize business customers.
