With a unique, oversized armrest that rotates 360 degrees, Flipper — a highly adjustable Accolade arm — increases the level of comfort and ergonomic support for workers in com-puter-intensive environments.The 360-degree range includes multiple positions which are designed to support the user during keyboarding and mousing. Flipper’s arm-rests can also swivel to allow the user to easily enter and exit the Accolade chair. Highly pliable and resilient gel pads are available with the armrests, enhancing Accolade’s tactile appeal. With an easy-to-use fingertip control, Flipper also adjusts vertically within a 5" range.
Fixed-position and heightadjustable task arms are also available. The height-adjustable arm enables the user to indepen-dently adjust armrest heights. Five different positions are available within a 2" range, providing precise support for workers of different sizes.
ERGONOMIC SEATING ADJUSTMENTS SEAT HEIGHT
SYNCHRONIZED TILT
Seat-height adjustability is avail-able with both mechanical and pneumatic mechanisms. With a range of 16" to 20.5", the user can position the seat height to achieve a comfortable 90-degree angle between the lower leg and thigh.
This standard mechanism enables the seat and back to articulate independently, keeping the user’s feet flat on the floor while reclining. This in turn minimizes pressure on the thighs and promotes better circulation.
BACK HEIGHT
STANDARD FORWARD TILT
Accolade’s standard back-height adjustment allows the user to precisely locate the back cushion in five different positions within a 2" range to ensure the best possible lumbar fit and support.
Forward tilt enables the seat and back to tilt forward together an additional 7 degrees. This additional range of motion helps alleviate leg and back strain as the user leans forward while working at a desk or computer terminal.
SIX-POSITION BACK LOCK
ADVANCED FORWARD TILT
This optional feature lets workers lock the back of the chair in the most comfortable position. Both the back lock and tilt tension control eliminate much of the muscle work needed to main-tain equilibrium in the chair.
This feature allows the user to adjust the chair’s back angle independently from the seat pan. The adjustment range of 13 degrees for both the seat angle and back angle provides extra support for workers performing repetitive activities.
