Universal Communication Controller Improved-2 Configurable 2-Channel Interface to Link-1, Link-11B, SIMPLE, ATDL, ASTERIX. The Universal Communication Controller Improved-2 (UCCI-2) is a stand-alone, 2 channel, high-speed serial to network interface with conversion capabilities to a variety of military standard protocols (e.g. Link-1, Link-11B, SIMPLE, ATDL, ASTERIX, etc). It provides interfacing from synchronous as well as asynchronous serial interfaces to Ethernet TCP/ IP. The UCCI-2 provides an easy migration/integration path into existing systems because of the unit’s data-transparency.

The Universal Communication Controller Improved 2 can be used as a format converter from synchronous and asynchronous serial data to Ethernet TCP/IP. When a requirement exists to distribute serial datalinks across a TCP/IP network the UCCI-2 is an excellent choice.
