Questions and Clarifications a. I am a bit confused on the two separate RFP’s as they normally would be an integral part of each other. (An automated system.) The first RFP outlines a couple demo robots, and the second RFP outlines a conveyor sensors, etc. for Mechatronics. Are these units to be integrated? Normally, these two RFP’s would be integrated into one bid so that all the hardware would be compatible as well as the curriculum, based on local industry standards. This method would provide continuity of equipment, student certified curriculum and provide student learning that would build on the fundamentals, yet provide real world training. Answer: The District has determined that the equipment that does need to be bundled together has been and should be proposed separately within each Proposal. A vendor may choose to submit an option that is a whole unit that covers both RFP’s however, proposals should be submitted for each RFP as requested and then provide an ADDITIONAL alternative proposal that can conjoin the two RFP’s. Please note that in order to have your additional alternative proposal considere, separate initial proposals must be submitted in order for a vendor to be considered responsive. Upon determination of responsiveness, all additional proposals will be looked at and considered by the District.
