This microphone signal actuating device offers clean reliable performance with any balanced or floating low-impedance (150 ohm nominal) microphone or signal source. SAS3 is designed for use with either condenser-type or dynamic microphones. The SAS3 is ideally suited for use in sports event announcing applications but is equally suitable for any application where a desktop push-to-talk device is required. The SAS3 is backed by Pro Co’s five-year, any excuse - even abuse warranty. To pass the microphone signal to the sound system, the user simply depresses and holds down the push-to-talk button on the SAS3. The SAS3 is a momentary press-to-talk switch, so the switch will need to remain depressed for as long as the user requires the signal to be “live”. Releasing the switch will prevent the signal from continuing to the sound system. Pro Co Sound 225 Parsons Street | Kalamazoo, MI 49007 800-253-7360 Connections between the SAS3 and the the sound system are made with standard microphone cables. The user’s microphone is connected to the SAS3 through the female microphone adapter that is incorporated into the end of the 6-inch gooseneck mounted on the top panel of the device. A microphone cable is integrated in the 6-inch black chrome gooseneck. An additional Mic Input is provided via a Female XLR-type connector located on the back panel. Both gooseneck-mounted and rear panel Mic Inputs are wired in parallel and are controlled by the push-to-talk switch. A Male XLR-type connector is provided for Mic Output. The SAS3 enclosure is formed of a 16-gauge steel top and a rugged 11-gauge, black epoxy painted steel base. Steel provides excellent magnetic shielding from 60Hz AC hum fields. All control and connector function graphics are identified on a textured polycarbonate overlay. The enclosure is with (4) non-conductive, anti-skid feet on the base of the unit. Top-quality connectors and switches provide trouble-free service even in abusive situations such as remote broadcast and recording operations. » www.procosound.com ENGINEERING SPECIFICATIONS: The microphone signal momentary push-to-talk unit shall be suitable for the noiseless muting of any balanced or floating low impedance (150 ohm nominal) microphone or similar signal source. There shall be two (2) 3-pin female XLR-type connectors wired in parallel for input from the source. There shall be (1) 3-pin male XLR-type connector for the output. The unit shall be suitable for the use of condenser microphones and dynamic microphones. There shall be (1) momentary push button switch suitable for either hand or foot operation. The switch shall be single pole, single throw, and used to allow the microphone signal to pass from input to output. The circuit shall consist of a normally closed switch that connects pin 2 to pin 3, effectively muting the microphone signal. Activating the switch removes the “short” between pins 2 and 3 and allows the michrophone signal to pass to the output. The electronic components shall be wired to provide adequate pop suppression and sufficient bypass impedance, to allow noiseless operation with no significant signal degradation. The enclosure shall be constructed of a 16-gauge steel top and a black epoxy texture painted 11-gauge steel base. PMB Series Pole Mount Bracket Kits PMB-1RR Pole Mount Bracket PMB-2RR Pole Mount Bracket PMB-2RR Pole Mount Bracket Community offers the PMB Series Pole Mount Bracket Kits for mounting small R-Series and small WET Series loudspeakers to poles and columns. These brackets were designed for use with R.25 and R.5 loudspeakers, but can also be used with Community’s RMG-200A, W2-218, W2-228, W2-2V8* and W2-2W8 loudspeaker models. The PMB-1RR bracket is intended for use with a single loudspeaker with vertical downtilt capability, while the PMB-2RR bracket can be used to mount up to two loudspeakers in a “top-bottom” configuration with left-to-right panning and vertical downtilt. The bolt-together mounting kit assembly attaches to a pole or column 6 inches (152 mm) or greater in diameter by using clamps and ¾-inch stainless steel banding. Clamps and assembly hardware are included in the mounting kits, with banding sold separately. A U-shaped mounting yoke is already included with the small R-Series and WET Series loudspeakers. For each PMB-1RR and PMB-2RR Pole Mount Bracket attached to a pole or column, two stainless steel bands must be used. Community offers part number PMB-BAND for use with the PMB Series mounting kits, which includes 92 inches (2337 mm) of banding, or enough to provide two bands for a 10.75-inch or smaller diameter pole. Therefore, for poles between 6 inches and 10.75 inches in diameter, use one PMB-BAND per bracket. For poles between 10.75 inches (273 mm) and 25.25 inches (641 mm) in diameter, use two PMB-BAND per bracket**. For installations with multiple pole mount requirements or with poles greater than 25.25 inches (641 mm) in diameter, Community also offers part number BAND100FT which includes 100 feet (30.5 m) of stainless steel banding. In pole mount installations, mounted objects should be secured to the mounting structure with safety cables. When using either the PMB-1RR or PMB-2RR bracket, an additional PMB-1RR bracket can also be mounted above the loudspeaker and bracket assembly, to be utilized as a safety cable attachment point. The PMB-1RR and PMB-2RR brackets include safety cable clips for R.25 and R.5 loudspeakers when used for this purpose. Cable clips for RMG-200A and small WET loudspeakers must be devised by the installer. Safety hardware, cabling, shackles and fittings must also be supplied by the installer to meet the needs of the installation. All parts in the PMB mounting kits are constructed of weather-resistant stainless steel, aluminum or steel with a hot-dipped galvanized finish. The PMB-1RR and PMB-2RR Pole Mount Bracket Kits are suitable for outdoor use and non-corrosive atmosphere indoor applications. Models: RPC-1 series Remote Power Controls – low-voltage, surface-mount Description: Lowell RPC-1 series UL Listed remote power controls may be combined with a variety of switches, modules, and/or sequential control devices (manufactured by Lowell or others) to provide a versatile low-voltage method of turning specific equipment on and off from a remote location. The ability to safely control AC power distribution without directly accessing equipment minimizes the potential for accidental or unauthorized system modifications or vandalism. System integration applications include commercial, educational, entertainment, government, and religious facilities where remote power control is required. Models with cord: RPC-1 RPC-1-20A-CD RPC-1 controls are typically installed in rear of rack, in close proximity to equipment that is to be remotely switched. Low-voltage, 3- or 4-conductor cable is then run from the RPC-1 terminal strip to a control switch such as Lowell RPS-series wall or rackmount switches. Systems may also be configured with multiple RPC-1 controls activated by a single switch (application 1) or with one or more RPC-1 controls activated by multiple switches (application 2). RPC-1 controls are also a key component in Lowell's SCS-series modular low voltage sequential control systems. Each RPC1 assembly includes a power supply and relay with selection of outlet and termination styles to meet application needs. All models are housed in a steel chassis finished in black powder epoxy. Assemblies are ETL Listed (UL 813).
