\iPod Nano – Adding Audio Files to the Nano Now that the audio files are in the iTunes music library, you can add them manually to the iPod Nano.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Because you are sharing an account with others, you may also see songs that have been downloaded from iTunes using the special services account. To place these songs on your nano would violate copyright policy.
If you notice library items with a cloud icon that you have not purchased, do not add those items to your Nano.
Additionally, if you receive the following message on your special services iPad, click Cancel.

Open iTunes, and then connect the iPod Nano to your computer. If you are currently viewing the iTunes Store, you will need to click on the Library button in the upper right corner.
When iTunes recognizes the iPod Nano, you will see the iPod button in the upper right corner of the screen.
It is important to understand that you will need to be able to switch between two libraries – the library of items currently on the iPod Nano, and the items currently in the iTunes library on your computer.
Viewing the iTunes Library In the upper right corner, if you see the Done button, click it. If you do not see it, proceed to the next step.
In the upper left corner, select Music. This will now display the items you have in your iTunes library, not the items on your iPod Nano. Any time you see Music button in the upper left corner, and the iPod button in the upper right, you are in the iTunes library.

When the files have finished copying, click the Done button. The audio files that are displayed are the files that are now on the iPod Nano. The name of the iPod Nano should be displayed in the upper left corner. This means that you are now viewing the songs on the iPod Nano.
Clicking the Done button a second time will display the items in the iTunes library.
Ejecting the Nano From the Computer When you have finished adding audio files, you will need to eject the iPod Nano. In the upper right corner, click the small arrow to the right of the iPod button. The iPod button will disappear.
