Adventure Cam 4 Thank You for Purchasing the UltraProX Adventure Cam – 4. Please read instructions before first use. Precautions: 1. Do not use the camera in extremely Hot, Cold or Damp environment 2. This camera is Waterproof when enclosed in the included housing 3. Camera Requires Micro SD Card before it can be used 4. Battery life is very dependent on the environment. The colder the weather, the shorter the operating time 5. If storing the camera for extended periods of time, please remove the battery 6. Do not disconnect the camera from your PC while Uploading or downloading as this may cause damage to your camera or PC Before first Use: 1. Charge the camera before first use (green light is on while charging and turns off when charging is complete) 2. Make sure the camera is Turned Off, before inserting or removing memory card 3. Open the side cover to access the Memory Card slot 4. Insert a Micro SD Memory card (up to 64gb class 6 or higher) 5. Format the card before first use (see Menu Instructions) Instructions: 1. To turn the camera On: Press and hold the “Power/Select” Button for approximately 3 seconds. The camera will show the welcome screen then by default will start to record Video. 2. To stop Video: Press the “Video” Button
3. To Take Still Photos: Press the “Photo” Button to enter Photo Mode. To take a picture, Press the “Photo” Button again. 4. To Zoom in and out: Press the “Left” and “Right” Buttons The Menu: To enter the Menu Function: Press and Hold the “Left Arrow” Button for approximately 3 seconds. Note: If the camera is in Video Mode, The Video Menu will activate and likewise the camera will enter Camera Menu if in Camera Mode. Once in Menu Mode you can navigate through the menu options and change the menu settings. Video Menu: You will notice 2 Icons at the top of the screen
Press the “Left” or “Right” Buttons to switch between the 2 options. Once Highlighted, press the “Video” button to go through the menu items. Once you have the Menu Item selected that you want to edit, Pres the “Power” Button to select that item Once the Menu item shows the options, use the “Camera” Button to choose the option you desire. Once selected, Preee the “Power” Button to select and return. With the “Video” Icon selected your menu options are: 1. Resolution – Allows you to choose the Video Resolution desired 2. Video Duration – Allows you to choose the maximum length of your video clips before the camera automatically starts a new video file.
3. Loop Recording – If turn on, the camera will record until the Memory Card is full, then start erasing the earliest video with new video. 4. HDR – High Dynamic Range is helpful in situations where there is high contrast between subjects 5. Exposure – This allows you to adjust the exposure compensation +/6. Record Audio – Turn Off and On the Microphone 7. Date Stamp – Record the date and time on the viewed image On or Off 8. Power on Record – Select whether or not you want the camera to automatically start recording when the camera is turned on 9. Anti-Shaking – Turns Off and On the Image Stabilizer NOTE: Once you have made changes to the menu settings you need to save the settings by pressing and holding the “Video” button until you hear a Beep. With the “Tools” Icon selected your Menu Options are: 1. Date and Time – Set the camera date and time 2. Auto Power Off – This is a power saving option that lets you choose whether you want to always have the camera ON or if you want it to Shut Off after either 3, 5 or 10 Minutes of non-use. 3. Beep Sound – On or Off 4. Language – Lets you choose the Camera Language. 5. TV Mode – PAL for Most European and Some Asian Countries and NTSC for North and South America 6. Frequency – 50 HZ or 60 HZ. Helpful if capturing computer screen or TV images with your camera. 60 HZ for North America 7. Image Rotation – On or Off. If On, the image will be inverted (For recording with the camera upside down)
8. Format – Allows you to format the SD Card 9. Screen Saver – OFF , 30 Seconds, 3 Minutes or 5 Minutes. If selected turns off the LCD monitor after the selected time to save power 10. Default Setting – Restores the camera back to Factory default settings 11. Version – Shows the camera version and Firmware date NOTE: Once you have made changes to the menu settings you need to save the settings by pressing and holding the “Video” button until you hear a Beep. With the “Camera” Icon Selected your options are: 1. Capture Mode – This is the Timer option Single (no Timer) 2S, 5S or 10S timer before photo is taken 2. Resolution – Allows you to pick the image size 3. Sequence – If selected the camera with take 3 consecutive shots 4. Quality – Allows you to choose the compression ratio. High is best quality but takes more memory 5. Sharpness – Normal, Strong or Soft 6. White Balance – Auto is set by default and is best for most situations 7. Color – Allows you to choose Color, B&W or Sepia Tone images 8. ISO – Auto by default but you can also choose 100, 200 or 400 9. Exposure – This is your exposure compensation setting useful for over lit or under lit scenes 10. Anti-Shaking – This is the Image Stabilizer
11. Quick Review – Off, 2 Seconds or 5 Seconds. Lets you view the captured image on the LCD immediately after the picture is taken. 12. Date Stamp – Choose whether or not you want the date and time displayed on your recorded image 13. NOTE: Once you have made changes to the menu settings you need to save the settings by pressing and holding the “Video” button until you hear a Beep. Playing Back Videos & Pictures: You can view the pictures and videos you have taken with your camera directly on the LCD screen. To do so simply press and hold the “Photo” button for about 3 seconds and you will notice “Play” buttons appear at the bottom of the screen. Now you can scroll through your pictures and videos by pressing either the “Video” or “Photo” buttons to go back and forth. Once you have selected the file you want to view simply press the “Power/Select” button briefly to start and stop playback. If you hold the “Left Arrow” button for about 3 seconds you will enter another screen that will allow you to “Delete”, “Protect” or “Slide Show” your files When finished turn off the camera to exit Playback mode. Viewing on Your TV Your camera is also equipped with an HDMI output which allows you to view your images on a monitor or TV that has HDMI. You will need a cable that has a mini HDMI connector or an adapter that goes from mini HDMI to HDMI. Contact us if you need an adapter.
Connecting Your Camera to a Computer Your camera is compatible with both PC and Apple computers. The USB is 2.0 and requires a 2.0 or higher connection. Once plugged in the power button should light up indicating that the camera is charging. Press the Power button and you will see 3 options show up on the screen. - Mass Storage. Choosing this option allows you to down load saved videos and pictures to your computer. - PC Camera. Choosing this option allows you to use the camera as a PC Camera (as long as you have the necessary program to run the camera) - Video Record. This option allow you to use the camera to take pictures or record video while plugged into your computer You can also remove the Micro SD card from the camera and upload your files using a card reader.
