Avantgarde Technology Automatic Solutions for Perfect Results Avantgarde is the latest in intelligent digital technology, and is available in the KB9820E-M multifunction oven with steam from AEG. Designed to take the guesswork out of cooking, Avantgarde ovens will automatically make recommendations to help achieve perfect cooking results.
Ventitherm® Precision Ventitherm® Precision is the ultimate in convection cooking. The fan gently circulates hot air around the oven to give even temperature throughout. The ring element and top and bottom elements are also electronically controlled for precise heat management. This exact heat distribution and temperature control give perfect cooking results every time.
Anti-Fingerprint Stainless Steel Many of our models now have anti-fingerprint stainless steel, ensuring less clean up and consistent good looks.
Steam Oven The World’s First Multifunction Oven with Steam. Hot air and steam cooking combined offers fantastic cooking results with excellent health benefits. AEG’s KB9820E-M offers multi-function cooking with fully integrated steam. Food can be cooked to perfection with all the texture, colour and flavour preserved. Food is crisp on the outside and moist and succulent on the inside, so it looks and tastes better. The steam also isolates the individual dishes so that flavours do not mingle, meaning you can cook sweet and savoury dishes together at the same time. Cooking with steam is also a healthier option – it does not require additional fat to be added and retains a far higher level of nutrients, vitamins and minerals.
Steam Clean Assist In contrast to the Pyrolytic cleaning process, steam cleaning allows you to clean your oven at lower temperatures for shorter periods using moisture. The steam clean action gently releases grease and grime from the interior oven walls which can be simply wiped away with a damp cloth or paper towel upon completion of the process. Pyroluxe® Cleaning Cleans the oven by heating up to 500°C/930°F and burning off the most stubborn cooking residues, leaving only ash to simply wipe away with a damp cloth when the oven has cooled. The door locks for safety at 300°C and with the quadruple glazed door reducing surface temperatures, the oven door is safe to touch even at 500°C/930°F. Pyroluxe® has light, normal and heavy options and keeps the oven hygienically clean without using chemicals and costs less than most household oven cleaners. Applies to B5742-5-M model only. Heat Activated Catalytic Cleaning The heat activated Catalytic cleaning liners absorb the grease from cooking and with regular heating to 220°C/430°F the grease residue is brought to the surface and oxidized, leaving the catalytic surface clean. Applies to B3011-5-M model only. Diamond Glazed Enamel Interior Ultra smooth enamel interior making cleaning easier: cooking residues can be easily wiped away immediately after cooking. Full Glass Inner Liner with Removable Panes All AEG single and double built-in ovens have removable glass panes to make cleaning easy. All ovens feature full glass inner doors with no dirt traps. Fold Down Grill The grill element folds down to enable oven roof to be cleaned easily. Applies to B3007M-M, D2006M-M, DEO 76 and 3007VNM-M.

Features Oven Features Chrome Controls With Digital Display Easy to use, aesthetically pleasing controls with accurate display. Menudriven cooking guidance is provided in conjunction with simple electronic controls. This new easy cooking system with digital text display indicates the optimum cooking temperature for best results with any selected cooking function.
Retractable Control Knobs Control knobs can be pushed in when the oven is in use, adding to its stylish appearance. This feature avoids them being moved by mistake, as well as helping to keep them clean. Available on Competence model ovens.
Digital Touch Controls Easy to use, highly responsive touch controls which give precise control of all the oven’s features.
LED Digital Display Menu Guided Temperature Control with LED Display. Displays the recommended cooking temperature and indicates when the desired temperature is achieved.
24 Hour Electronic Clock, Minute Minder And Fully Programmable Timer The oven can be programmed to switch on and begin cooking and then switch off after a set duration, also sounding an alarm when the cooking is completed. Enables forward planning, and gives full control over cooking.
Count Up Timer Lets you know how long the oven has been on, cutting out the guesswork.
Residual Heat Indication Monitors the level of heat in the oven after it has been switched off. Can also be used as an energy-saving method to keep food warm with residual cooking heat.
Oven Illumination A selection of either halogen, 40W or 25W lighting is available in all ovens for easy viewing.
Speedcook Prevents the need to preheat the oven for all types of food – ideal for cooking convenience foods. These foods can be cooked in the exact cooking time that is specified on the package. Available in the B5742 and KB9820 only.
Temperature Conversion Chart Pull open the door to reveal a quick reference chart showing metric to imperial temperature conversions. Available on all 30” and 36” ovens and ranges.
Accessories Grill/Meat Pan All ovens are supplied with a full width grill/meat pan for the largest cuts of meat. Pan can easily be fitted onto telescopic shelf runners or slid into slide rack positions.
Baking Sheet Full width for maximum cooking space.
Telescopic Shelf Runner Additional accessory which enables baking shelves and wire shelves to be pulled out fully. They glide out effortlessly with a smooth rolling action. Additional accessory which enables baking sheet, meat pan or oven rack to be pulled out fully.
Chrome Oven Racks Can be fitted onto telescopic shelf runners or slid into slide rack positions.
Safety Isofront® & Isofront® Plus The oven doors are either double, triple or quadruple glazed – these multilayered glass panes have a heat reflective coating keeping the heat in the oven and the door cooler.
Auto Safety Switch Off For peace of mind, the oven automatically switches off when it is left on for too long (time and temperature dependant).

The perfect cooking experience Vigorous Steam The steam generator works with a fixed temperature at 96°C, to deliver a constant flow of steam. Ideal for vegetables, rice and fish, it ensures that all the vitamins and nutrients are retained. Available on KB9820E-M model.
Interval Steam This unique feature alternates steam and fan cooking with 25% steam and 75% hot air. Food is crisp on the outside and moist and succulent on the inside, so it looks and tastes better. Ideal for roasting, baking and complete meal cooking. Available on KB9820E-M model.
Ventitherm®/True Fan Using this genuine convection mode the fan gently circulates hot air throughout the oven to give an even temperature. Ventitherm® ensures no transfer of flavours so you can cook sweet and savoury dishes together on up to three levels. It is also a very economical and time-efficient cooking system, as it does not require preheating for most dishes thus making it the most commonly used setting.
Fan Controlled Defrost Suitable for delicate items such as cheese cakes, the light defrost circulates room temperature air around the food slowly, defrosting it hygienically in less than half the time.
Dual Circuit Variable Uses the inner and outer part of the grill element, providing full width even grilling, ideal for large portions.
Variable Economy Grill Uses only the inner part of the grill element, ideal for smaller portions such as four slices of toast. The heat is controllable, and using one element, saves energy.
Rotitherm® Roasting Heat is directed from the top element to the surface of the food while the fan circulates heat around the oven. This clever setting gives the perfect authentic spit roast effect for meat, poultry and roasting potatoes; all the benefits of rotisserie without the mess.
Conventional Cooking The top and bottom elements provide traditional cooking with zoned heat. Ideal for baking bread and cakes, as the oven becomes hotter at the top.
Radiant Heat Convection Using the top and bottom heat in conjunction with the fan, the radiant heat is distributed throughout the oven evenly. This speeds up the browning process compared to foods cooked with a conventional baking mode.
Pizza Mode The base element crisps the pizza, leaving the topping perfectly cooked. This feature is also ideal for quiches and flans.
Hot Air Fan Baking With this North American style convection, the base element and the fan work together to provide the perfect environment for baking.
Base Heat Finishing Heat from the bottom element only, ideal for reheating pies and pastries as it keeps the pastry crisp.

The AEG range of gas cooktops is perfectly formed with stylish cast iron pan supports. AEG ceramic glass and induction cooktops boast sleek stainless steel or beveled edges and smooth touch glide controls.
Induction Zones
be activated for smaller pans, offering convenience and economy. Triple zone: A ceramic cooking area comprising of three different sizes, which can be activated to match the size of pot being used. Multi-purpose zone: An elongated oval zone, which can be used as a single zone with just the round section activated, or extended to accommodate casserole dishes.
Gas cooktops
Induction cooktops offer fast and responsive cooking; the pan or pot itself becomes the heat conductor so it becomes hot, yet the smooth ceramic cooking surface remains safe to touch. When the pot is removed from the surface, the cooking stops. Energy is saved as only the exact amount needed for cooking is used, and cleaning is easy because nothing can bake on. These cooktops are incredibly quick and more controllable than gas, easy to clean and extremely safe.
AEG special burner design produces a clean and perfect flame. Burners come in a range of sizes for cooking flexibility and precision.
Power Booster
Smaller 3,000 BTU burner to ensure perfect simmering or best coverage on smaller pans.
When selected, provides an intense rapid heat up, saving time.
Ceramic Zones Highlight zone: Ceramic zones with a fine ribbon element under the glass, which heat up in less than five seconds; saving both time and energy. Dual zone: A cooking area with two zones. It can either be used for larger pans, or just the middle section can

Precise Control Gas Cooktops AEG gas cooktops give instant heat, economy and controllability. In addition, AEG’s special burner design produces a clean and perfect flame, giving total cooking flexibility and precise results.
Electric Cooktops Touch and glide controls with LED. Electronic touch controls ensure precise heat selection. They are very easy to keep clean and provide a flush finish. Stop + Go At the touch of a button, all zones are brought down to simmer level, keeping the food warm, and then when the button is touched again it returns the zones exactly to the previous level. This feature is ideal when dealing with an unexpected guest or phone call. On select electric and induction models. Time Per Zone A timer of up to 99 minutes may be selected for each cooking area. Once the cooking time is up, the cooktop will automatically turn off and an acoustic signal will sound, ensuring cooking perfection every time. LED Display An electronic display indicating the level of power in use. Front Controls Burner controls are situated at the front of the cooktop for ease of reach, ideal for left or right-handed cooks.

Induction Cooking Safety Electric Cooktop Child Lock For complete peace of mind, the cooktop can be locked to prevent children accidentally turning it on. Control Lock This will prevent any alteration or activation of the cooktop’s settings; simply lock the controls once the cooking functions have been selected. It can also be used to lock the cooktop in the off position for added safety. Auto Safety Switch Off Many AEG electric cooktops automatically switch off if left on. Residual Heat Indicators This safety feature visually indicates when residual heat is left on the cooking surface.
Gas Cooktop Safety Thermocouples All of our cooktops have safety thermocouples. If the flame goes out, the gas is automatically shut off from the source ensuring perfect safety. Automatic Ignition All AEG gas cooktops have integrated ignitions. The gas cooktop is lit automatically when the control knob is pushed and turned, in a single-handed operation. LPG Kit All our gas cooktops come with a kit, which converts the cooktop for use with natural gas to liquid petroleum gas (LPG bottled gas).

With a conventional electric cooktop, the entire cooking surface heats up, which in turn heats the bottom of the pan. Induction cooktops use an electromagnet, which creates an electromagnetic field when a pan is placed on the cooking surface. The pan becomes hot while the surrounding area remains safe to touch.
Even if the induction cooktop is accidentally switched on, it will not heat up unless a pot or pan is placed on it. Since only the pan is fully heated, induction cooktops are always safe to touch, even after boiling a pot of water.
Time Saving An induction cooktop combines the speed of gas with unbeatable ease of use and controllability. Dishes are cooked quicker because the cooking area reaches the desired temperature immediately.
Extremely Responsive An induction cooktop automatically senses the size of the pan and only heats the exact area of the pan, using the minimum amount of energy possible. Temperatures are reached instantaneously; no pre-heating is ever necessary, saving more energy. Induction is the economical way to cook.
Hygenic An induction cooktop is very easy to keep clean. The smooth ceramic surface can be quickly and easily wiped clean, and spills cannot burn or bake on to the surface, because the area surrounding the pots does not reach high temperatures.
All AEG induction cooktops have auto safety switch off, so they will automatically switch themselves off if left on for total piece of mind.
Pot Recognition Indicators The cooking zone will not operate when incorrect cookware is used or when no pan is on the cooking surface and the controls are accidentally activated.
Zone-Free The AEG Zone-free induction cooktop has fewer restrictions using flexible zone cooking sections. Pans can be placed anywhere on the cooktop as long as part of the pan covers one cross, preventing you from being restricted to traditional zones. Cookware required: Steel, enameled steel, cast iron, or stainless steel (if appropriately labeled by the manufacturer). Determine if you have the correct cookware by checking if a magnet will stick to the bottom of the cookware. The ideal size of the cookware for the 24” and 30” models with zones is such that the diameter of the base matches the zone size.

Performance Perfection The steam clean assist feature allows your oven or range interior to be cleaned without the use of harmful chemicals, or the time-consuming process required for conventional self-cleaning functions. Steam clean assist loosens spills from the surface enamel, allowing them to be wiped away. It’s a healthier choice for your home and the environment. Because they work by generating a magnetic field, induction cooktops must be used with ferrous cookware. To determine if your pots and pans are ferrous or not, simply hold a magnet to them. If the magnet sticks, they are compatible for use on an induction cooktop. Note: individuals with pacemakers are advised to exercise caution when using any induction cooktop.
