It will seek to the next found channel in HD mode continuously until pressed again. If in iPod mode, it will scan to the next song in the current playlist. Pressing the scan button a second time will disable the scan mode. AHDH-TY2 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS * READ IMPORTANT WARNING ON PAGE 1 BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY INSTALLATION FIRMWARE FOR THE iPOD The firmware in your iPod must be the latest revision to operate correctly. Go to Apple.com and check your revision with iPod Update. The AHDH-TY2 is to be used along with the AHDT-01 HD Tuner and the AHDI-I01 import HD radio interface (all sold separately) in the vehicles listed. An iPod may also be connected by using the XIAH-IPC iPod cable (sold separately). The OEM radio will control the functions of the HD Tuner and the iPod through the buttons on the radio. Also for those radios that do not display text, the XIA-LCD display screen (sold separately), may be added to display the HD and iPod text information. AHDH-TY2 FOR RADIOS EQUIPPED WITH SAT BUTTON Turn the ignition on and press the SAT button, the word ‘Sat’ should appear on the display. Remain here for a few seconds while the AHDI-I01 initializes. Now switch out of the HD mode by selecting the AM or FM button then press the SAT button once again. It will find the HD radio and display the current station on the display.To switch from HD-AM and HD-FM, enter into the SAT mode and then leave the SAT mode via the SAT, AM, & FM buttons. The display on this radio usually takes a few seconds to display the current information. RADIO OPERATION DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION SAT 1) This port is used with the optonal XIA-LCD display. Enters into ‘SAT’ mode & selects the next device. If HD-AM was the previous device that was playing, then HD-FM is selected and vise versa. If an iPod is attached, then it will alternatively be chosen in the following order : 2) This port is used with the HD cable included with AHDT-01 tuner. HD-AM > iPod > HD-FM > iPod PORT OVERVIEW SEEK/TUNE UP/DOWN Seeks to the next found station in HD-AM or HD-FM. In iPod it goes to the next/previous song. TYPE UP/DOWN Goes to the next or previous station number in HD mode. In iPod mode it goes to the next or previous playlist. PRESET#1 Allows the presetting of HD radio stations in the same manner as analog radio stations. In iPod “browse” mode, this preset will go to the next selection. 1 2 3 PRESET#2 RADIO CONNECTIONS Connect the AHDI-I01 to the radio using the AHDH-TY2 harness. The AHDT-01 tuner must also be connected via the HD radio 8-pin din cable to the center port of the AHDI-I01 interface. 1 DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION PRESET#4 Allows the presetting of HD radio stations in the same manner as analog radio stations. In iPod mode, this acts as the ‘escape’ button that allows the user to enter and exit “browse” mode. PRESET#5 Allows the presetting of HD radio stations in the same manner as analog radio stations. In iPod mode this changes the shuffle state. PRESET#6 Allows the presetting of HD radio stations in the same manner as analog radio stations. SCAN Enters into scan mode. It will seek to the next found channel in HD mode continuously until pressed again. If in iPod mode, it will scan to the next song in the current playlist. Pressing the scan button a second time will disable the scan mode. TEXT Toggles through the different available display options for current song. CONTROLS FOR RADIOS EQUIPPED WITH SAT BUTTON BUTTON 3) This port is used with the iPOD cable XIAH-IPC or the AUX IN cable XIAH-RCA. BUTTON PRESET#3 Allows the presetting of HD radio stations in the same manner as analog radio stations. In iPod “browse” mode, this preset will go to the previous selection. Allows the presetting of HD radio stations in the same manner as analog radio stations. In iPod “browse” mode, this preset acts as the ‘selection’ option, which allows the user to choose the current item. CONTROLS FOR RADIOS EQUIPPED WITH CD CHANGER CONTROLS BUTTON DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION DISC Enters into ‘CD Changer’ mode & selects the next device. If HD-AM was the previous device that was playing, then HDFM is selected and vise versa. If an iPod is attached, then it will alternatively be chosen in the following order : HD-AM > iPod > HD-FM > iPod TRK Seeks to the next found station in HD-AM or HD-FM. In iPod it goes to the next/previous song. PRESET#1 In iPod mode, this toggles the Random mode playback. PRESET#3 PRESET#4 In iPod mode, this goes to the previous playlist. PRESET#5 PRESET#6 In HD mode, this goes to the next physical station. In iPod mode, this goes to the next playlist. In HD mode, this goes to the previous physical station.
