English 8+ 2 - 4 20 + Contents of the game 110 double-sided cards with pictures, sound device, 4 slapsticks (each with 2 suction cups). Aim of the game The aim is to collect the most pairs of cards that match with the sounds coming from the sound device. Before the game begins Deal a slapstick to each player. When playing for the first time, remove the white plastic strip from the bottom of the sound device. Place the sound device in the middle of the table so that all the players can hear the sounds coming from it and push the yellow ON/OFF button on top. Scatter the cards over the entire playing area, so that most of them are visible. Part of the cards should be drawing-side up and part of them photo-side up: this makes the game more challenging. All the players should be able to reach all the cards with their slapsticks. How to play Push the red START button on top of the sound device. When you hear a sound coming from the device, try to grab the correct pair of cards with your slapstick. A correct pair is composed of two cards with a picture that corresponds to the sound in question. For example, if you hear a drum, try to find two cards that have a picture of a drum in it. The cards can be identical or the other card can have a drawing of a drum and the other a photo of a drum. Different background colours make no difference, as long as the pictures compose a pair. When you slap a card and it sticks to your slapstick, lift it up. The card is now yours; take it off the slapstick and place it in front of you on the table. With your slapstick you can also scatter the cards on the table when you are searching for a certain card. If another player tries to grab the same card with you, you should pull at the card with your slapsticks. The player whose slapstick leaves stuck to the card has won the card. If you grab a card, but when lifting it off the table with your slapstick it falls down, it is available for the other players to grab. When you hear a new sound coming from the sound device you can no longer grab cards that correspond to the previous sound. The round is over when you hear a buzzer. If you want to stop playing before the round is over, push the ON/OFF button and the sounds will stop. You can play, for example, three rounds of the game; return all the cards back to the table after each round, shuffle them and push the START button to start a new round. You must keep record of scored points. You only score points if the cards compose a correct pair, one pair equals 1 point. After the third round all the points are counted together. The winner The winner is the player who has grabbed the most correct pairs of cards and thus collected the most points. NOTE! When you have finished playing, push the ON/OFF button on top of the sound device to switch it off. When the batteries are depleted, open the screw at the bottom of the device and change the batteries according to the instructions inside the lid. The batteries should only be changed by an adult! Good luck! Alternative version of the game You can also play the game so that you don’t need to grab a pair of cards; it is enough to grab only one card corresponding to the sound. Do not charge batteries that are not rechargeable. Do not use different types of batteries or used and unused batteries together. Use only batteries that are the same or similar type to the recommended batteries (LR44/AG13). © 2004 KM Creative www.tactic.net Art.nr. 01436
