Alarm Clock Radio with Dock for iPod Thanks for buying a TEAC. Read this manual carefully to get the best performance from this unit. IMPORTANT SAFETY Safety Considerations  The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on apparatus.  To be completely disconnect the power input, the mains plug of apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains.  The mains plug of apparatus should not be obstructed OR should be easily accessed during intended use.  The marking information is located at the bottom of apparatus.  Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.  Minimum distances around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.  The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc;  No naked flame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the apparatus.  Attention should be drawn to environmental aspects of battery disposal;  The use of apparatus in moderate climate. Electrical Information Make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the rating plate of the power supply unit supplied with your product. It requires a compatible mains supply. Do not use any other supply. 1 POWER SOURCE AC Operation Your unit requires a mains supply. Please ensure that your mains supply is compatible before use. Insert the mains cable into the power socket at the rear of the unit, and then insert the main plug into a main supply socket. Press the POWER Button to ON position to operate the unit. Use Aux In Press Power Button to turn on the unit and select the Function Switch to iPod mode, simply connect an audio cable (not included) from the AUX IN jacks on this unit to external unit’s LINE OUT jacks and press the Function Button to AUX mode. This will allow you to broadcast the external unit’s sound through this unit’s speakers. Warning! If connecting to the headphone output of an audio source, the source’s volume controls may need to be adjusted for optimal sound. Adjusting the Volume Sound Rotate the Volume Buttons to increase / decrease the volume sound. Dimmer Function Slide the Dimmer Switch to HIGH / LOW dimmer to select LED brightness Battery Operation (DC 9V) – For Clock Backup The Battery Back-Up will save the clock and program settings in case of power outage. The display / unit will not be active without AC power (batteries not included). How to install or remove the battery : Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit by carefully pushing one lug of the battery cover. The battery cover can then be lifted away. Fit 9V batteries (not included), referring to the polarity markings inside the battery compartment.. Finally, replace the cover. For battery operation, switch off the mains supply and remove the cable from the power socket, battery operation will be selected automatically. Warning! Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. After the connect press the Power On/Off Button (top of the unit) to ON mode to operate the unit. Setting the Clock 1. Press the Power Button (top of the unit) to standby mode, then press and hold the Time Button. 2. Use the Skip Forward & Backward Buttons to set the hour & minute respectively to correct time. Setting the Alarm Wake Up Time / Wake Up Source 1. Press the Power Button (top of the unit) to standby mode, then press and hold the Alarm Set Button. 2. Use the Skip Forward & Backward Buttons to set the hour & minute respectively to correct alarm time. Select the Wake Up Switch to select wake up source. Select the Wake Source 1. After the alarm time setting, slide the Wake Up Switch to select wake up source. 2. You can select alarm sound from RADIO / IPOD / BUZZER. If select to IPOD/RADIO, then you can select AM, FM or IPOD/AUX by sliding the FUNCTION button. 3. After the setting press the Power Button to standby mode, you can wait for alarm sound. 4. When alarm sound, press the Power Button to off the alarm sound and the alarm will auto replay next day. Snooze Function When an alarm sounds, pressing the SNOOZE Button will temporarily silence the alarm for 9 minute. Setting the Sleep Timer Press the Power Button (top of the unit) to on the unit, 1. Press the SLEEP button and "59" will appear on the clock display. 2. When "59" will appear, then the unit will be automatic to turn off after 59 minutes. 3. When press Sleep Button and press the Skip Forward & Backward Buttons to set the hour and minute of sleep time from 1:59 to 0:01 minutes 4. Cancel the sleep function, press the Power / Snooze Button to cancel sleep the Sleep function will activate and the Sleep Indicator. Warning! To cancel the Sleep function : Press the Sleep Button until the SLEEP icon disappear. 4 OPERATION FOR THE RADIO / iPOD Tuning the AM/FM Radio 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Press the Power Button to turn the unit on. Press the Function Button to switch between AM and FM radio. Rotate the TUNING Knob to tune in your desired radio station. Rotate the VOLUME Knob to adjust your desired listening level. To turn off the radio, press the Power Button to turn the unit to standby mode. Warning! This unit has built-in AM ferrite bar antenna, which provides adequate reception in most areas. If AM reception is week, turn the unit to improve reception. If FM reception is week, adjust the length and the angle of the FM antenna. Using the iPod Docking When the unit is plugged in power, the docked iPod will automatic charge (except AM mode) 1. Locate the numbered brackets that fit the iPod that will be docked. Each included bracket has a number on it, indicating which iPod model that bracket is compatible. 2. After the correct connection, press the Power Button to turn the unit on. 5. Slide the Function Button to switch to iPod mode. 6. Press the Play/Pause Button to begin playing the docked iPod. 7. During iPod playing , press the Play/Pause Button to pause playing and press again to resume.. 8. Press the Skip forward / Skip backward Buttons to skip from one song to the next song on a docked iPod. 9.
