User Instructions for the Maxi Excel Task Chair When seated in your chair there are 3 levers on the right side of your seat and a rod under the front, for seat tilt adjustment. To the side, the front lever is for the seat tilt. Middle lever is the gas lift for seat height adjustment. Back rake lever adjusts the angle of the back. The rod is for downward seat tilt adjustment Listed below are the adjustments in the order the user should complete them: Seat height: To raise the seat up lift the middle lever when not seated. To lower the seat, simply lift the lever when seated. Sliding seat: This is the bar at the front of the seat similar to mechanisms in cars. Lift the bar and slide the seat to increase or decrease the depth. Back angle: Lift the rear lever to unlock, set to your preferred angle, then simply push lever down to lock. Ratchet back height adjustment: This adjusts the height of the back. To raise the back, simply lift the back with both hands from the bottom a ratchet click at a time. To lower, push the back up to its highest point, the back will then drop down again. Set to the most comfortable height. Seat tilt adjustment: Lift lever to unlock, lean back into the chair. To increase downward seat tilt pull out the rod, to reduce the seat tilt push the rod in, then to lock push the lever down. Two way adjustable lumbar: There are two wheels, one on the left and one on the right. The right wheel adjusts the lumbar in and out to provide extra lumbar support. The left wheel adjusts the lumbar support up and down. Do not over tighten these adjustment wheels.
