Tip #2: How do I Download to an N-750 Control Panel for the first time? You will need to Bulk Load the cards. To Bulk Load cards a reader must be connected to an N-750-PAIT. The first download to a panel needs to be initiated from a PAIT. Once all has been programmed then you need to set a download PENDING on the queued task screen by going to PanelDownload then highlighting the panel and clicking OK. The queued task screen will display a Requested Download Pending. At this point go to a PAIT and follow these steps: With the reader connected to the PAIT, 1) Press 7 followed by the USER CODE and then ENTR 2) Select Option 2 (Bulk Load) Detailed information on bulk loading cards is available in the N-750 Installation Manual (TD1084), Chapter 3, Page 3-13. 3) Enter a USER PROFILE number and then ENTR At this point, the PAIT will display one of two things depending on how old the panel installed is. - Some Older panels will display “Card for ID#” 1. Press <4> <+> installer code (default is 1234). 2. At the menu select: <1> for internal phone. This option is for downloading via the phone lines. <2> for modem. With this type of communication, a Hayes compatible modem is connected to the N-750-PI panel, and the PC for faster data transmission. <3> for direct. This option is used for direct connection to the N-750 to the computer using a null modem cable (both the PC and N-750 panel are on site. 3. If 2 was selected in step three you will be prompted to select the Comm PI Device (just hit 1) then it will prompt you for a phone number. If 1 was selected in step 3 then it will prompt you for phone number right away. Type in the phone #, hit ENTER and go to step 6. 4. If 3 was selected, it will prompt for the Comm PI Device (just hit 1) and go to step 6. 5. It will now prompt you for Account Number. Type in the account/panel number that you entered when first programming in the panel through the software and hit ENTER. The panel will now attempt to communicate. If it was successful, the panel will reinitialize which should take a few seconds (DO NOT POWER PANEL DOWN during reinitialization) and the requested download on the pc will go from Pending to Processed. - Most panels will display “Enter Site # 0” 4) Press 0 followed the ENTR key 5) Enter the card slot. The card slot is only a placeholder from 1-1800 that holds the card data. Enter the number, making sure that it is already not in use by the system and press ENTR Hint: If you are not sure of the slot number, it is recommended to use a number in the 1600-1800 range. 6) Present or swipe the card through the reader that is connected to the PAIT you are working at. If the card is accepted, the PAIT will give a success beep and auto increment to the next card slot Number. 7) Upload the panel to the ACAS or Win750 software and look under the user tab to see the displayed site code for the card(s) that you just entered. If the above numbered steps are done without a download pending in the queue then an Unsolicited upload (data in panel is sent to PC from the PAIT) will be processed and displayed on the queued task screen.
