3GS/APLEX CENTRAL STATION AUTOMATION LIBRARY MESSAGES All STATUS ALERT messages and MODE SELECTION messages are sent to the automation computer. The R6500 format doesn't allow for a distinction between these two message types and therefore both are transmitted as standard Zone Alarm messages. In the Aplex/Midiplex/ Directplex panels, the original library used zones 9Chex (decimal 156) through to FFhex (decimal 255). With the introduction of the 3GS panel, an expanded library is now necessary starting at 21hex (decimal 33) and in addition security zones 156 to 200 now conflict with the old library. Consequently we have created a new identifier (L & E) to allow the complete library to be accessed as a common resource. APLEX text phrases have been pre-programmed in the Model 4100/4300 Receiver as zone numbers 9Chex (Decimal 156) through to and including FFhex (Decimal 255). The extra 3GS text phrases have been programmed as zone number 21hex (Decimal 33) to zone number 45hex (Decimal 69). The SUITEPLEX text phrases remain as zone alarms associated with the main concierge account and do not use the L & E identifier. They continue to use the A & R identifier and have been pre-programmed as zone numbers 9hex (Decimal 9) to 90hex (Decimal 144). The following table lists the zones and messages for 3GS, Aplex ,Midiplex, Directplex, and Transponders. U U S S S S S S S S S S S S S U U S U S S S EXPLANATION The above codes are either of two types, a STATUS ALERT message or a USER SELECTION message. For example, Library Code A4 hex or 164 decimal indicates that a user selected the SHUNT MODE. The R6500 format does not allow the user number to be included, so we can only tell that the MODE was selected and cannot tell who the user was. In the majority of instances this Page 4 of 7 EXPLANATION cont. event will be logged only and no action will be taken. The computer automation package must be configured to provide the appropriate response for the code. For example, Library Code C1 hex or 193 decimal is an Alert Message indicating a bad or missing battery in the Subscriber's Control Panel. Normally this message would require a response from the Central/Monitoring Station and therefore the automation software zone information must be entered accordingly. Note that library messages will be preceded by an 'A' if the station does not monitor the 200 zone 3GS panel or an 'L' if the station does monitor 200 zone 3GS panel. SUITEPLEX LIBRARY MESSAGES The following table lists the zones and messages for the SUITEPLEX system. Note that these library messages are always preceded by an 'A' regardless of the setup for the 200 zone 3GS panel.
