Alliance is a volume level locking SAN. Everything to setup the SAN is in the box. Storage, Software and cables are all included. The storage is our Award winning Synergy HD and comes in 4, 6, 8 and 16 TB sizes. The Synergy HD line has a built-in hardware RAID to manage the storage more efficiently and automatically rebuilds a faulty drive, so the rest of the network is unaffected by the drive failure. Alliance is fully cross-compatible with Macintosh and Windows. Its simple volume level locking software allows for sharing of volumes across all clients with the full 4 GB FC bandwidth. Everyone can read all volumes, but only one machine at a time can write. Write access to a volume is only two clicks away. Volumes are mounted on the desktop just like a normal direct connect drive. So your applications like Avid, Final Cut Pro and Pro Tools are fully compatible with Alliance. It is also easy to install. The Synergy HD comes striped and ready to go. Just install the HBA's in your editing systems. Connect up the Synergy HD box with the fibre cables to the FC switch. Connect the Clients to the switch with FC cables, install the software in the editing system and you are ready to go. Alliance is a complete networked storage system. It is ready to grow. One can upgrade to as many clients as you would like by adding more switches and seats. If you need more storage, then add another Synergy HD expansion chassis. Unlike other SAN's, there is really no limit to the number of clients and storage that Alliance system can handle.
Management. SAN managment is available on all clients. Read and write permissions are easily changed at the user level. Mangement is easy and automatically returns to background.
