HiveNet Repeater HiveNet, from Codan/Daniels, is a wide area conventional repeater network that is easily deployable and field agile. Essentially, HiveNet is a network of repeaters that are connected together through RF links allowing the network to be selfhealing (linked repeaters can be added or removed at any time). This allows for a widely configurable system with an expandable area of coverage for mobile and portable radios (subscribers). HiveNet is available as an analog only or analog and P25 digital (mixed mode) repeater network giving the users full forward and back-
ward compatibility with existing legacy equipment. In P25 Digital mode, HiveNet will pass all encrypted voice and data transparently through the repeater network. The HiveNet allows encryption to pass through the repeater and links and does not add or contain any encryption itself. HiveNet repeaters and links are available in these frequency bands - VHF, UHF and/or 700/800/900 MHz. As an example, it is common to have VHF repeater system with UHF links. HiveNet is based on a transportable repeater solution (Codan’s ET-4), but
can be installed as a fixed network infrastructure. Each HiveNet repeater is lightweight (under 50 lbs.) and is housed in a compact watertight polyethylene case. The transportable repeater includes soft grip handles, inline wheels, press and pull latches and a telescoping handle. Codan equipment has low power consumption, allowing the HiveNet to operate from internal batteries, vehicle batteries or additional addon external batteries and rapidly deployable, flexible solar panels all mounted in watertight, lightweight polyethylene cases. FCC Licensed VHF Frequencies for Vehicle Repeaters As you probably know, back in 2012 Pyramid Communications started efforts to obtain more spectrum for VHF SVR users. We took on this project here at Pyramid because it was the right thing to do on behalf of the end users who struggle without mission critical communications. In a decision applauded by many, the FCC rules were changed. On March 15, 2016, the
Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) and the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB) will begin accepting applications for the operation of mobile repeaters on the following 6 VHF frequencies: 173.2375, 173.2625, 173.2875, 173.3125, 173.3375, and 173.3625 MHz. What we need you to do: Direct your licensing in-
quiries to a coordinator who is aware of the new changes. Coordinators with experience on this topic are RadioSoft (888) 723-4695, EWA (800) 4828280 or your local APCO coordinator. Please contact your coordinator to file now. We are limited to six frequencies in any region and only if they are available. Ω

JPS - ACU-5000 IP Based Gateway The ACU-5000 interoperability gateway capitalizes on features developed by JPS Interoperability Solutions over the past decade. These features include a suite of sophisticated Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms to resolve typical radio interoperability problems, interface cables for hundreds of radio makes and models, and quick setup
templates for rapid deployment. In addition, the ACU5000 is equipped with an intuitive Web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI), a built in Ethernet switch, and the ability to configure its voice communications channels per user preference type including: radio, telephone, VoIP (SIP), or JPS’s proprietary Radio over In-
ternet Protocol (RoIP). This feature allows the ACU5000 to be quickly reconfigured as needs change, with no need to purchase, carry, or swap-out hardware modules. Two versions are available – a light and compact tabletop version or a 1U high 19-inch rack mount unit in an aluminum enclosure. Ω

Times - Data Line Protection The Times-Protect® Data Line protector family utilizes a unique leading edge technology to provide surge protection at a level not previously available for twisted pair Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables. The LP-DOE-1-G, LPPOE-1G and LP-PAE-100 have been tested to RFC2544 extended test methods. The surge protection
performance of this product family surpasses the performance of other available competitive products by a wide margin. The maximum surge rating for these products is only limited by the RJ-45 connector surge voltage and current handling capability. • Tested to RFC2544 extended methods
• Meets Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) Level 3 • Lowest surge and energy throughput • Lowest error rate • Shielded enclosure • IP67 weatherized version available Contact me for more information. Ω

Larsen - SLPT Antenna The Pulse/Larsen SLPT (Shadow Low Profile Transit) product line for Public Safety, WLAN, LTE and 3G/4G applications now available in Black or White versions. These rugged, aesthetically pleasing antennas provide a smaller, slimmer option to our current LPT product line without sacrificing mechanical or electrical performance. The
product line includes both NMO and tamperproof direct mount products, which will support multiple cable and connector options. SLPT antennas were designed to perform over the high-percentage bandwidth applications prevalent in today’s market. As a new product line, these antennas were created specifically to serve
emerging applications such as 700 MHz Public Safety, LTE, Smart Grid and WLAN. These valueoriented antennas provide a cost-effective, highperformance solution for LTE and 802.11n MIMO applications as well. Contact me today for more information or a sample. Ω
